Ha ha! GTFO is the typical response around here. My dogs were my test subjects for years as I played around with gear and practice Photoshop techniques :gabe:

Keep it simple. 99 Trans Am, 6 speed Average condition inside and out Almost 70,000 miles Motor is stock SLP Lid K&N Filter Ttops (no shades) Asking $9,500 OBO Honestly, mods and all the BS aren't going to get you any more money and in fact are going to do the opposite and drive down interest. You don't have to mentioned anything. The car is "as is" sold by owner. If they complain about a broken horn, who cares, it's a 12 year old car for $9G's. Roll with it. Don't worry about trying to "talk up the car" to buyers. If a guy wants to buy it and mod the hell out of it, who cares, just keep it simple. Don't believe me, then ask any any sales manager how many sales people with the six-months-smarts talk themselves right out of sales. Keep it Stupid Simple.

Your mileage will very. Personally I use the Lumiquest Version. http://www.lumiquest.com/store/products/LumiQuest-Soft-Screen.html Folds flat, virtually indestructible and does the job it's intended to do. The puffer version is far less durable and doesn't fold flat. I use several different diffusers; several from each manufacturer. Lumiquest is very good stuff and as I said, most portable. I'll post some quick snaps I just took for you to see. If you're interested, you can easily make the Lumiquest Soft Screen from a sheet of paper or by cutting up a clear milk carton. Here's a comparison for you. Simple snap-shots starring my daughter Sophia who is recovering from Strep :fuuuu: I probably should have turned my FEV up a notch more but the bottom image could easily be adjusted in RAW. Such a nice day today but we ended up having to stick close to home with my daughter who came down with a fever. She did venture out to have some fun in the leaves with her brother and after capturing their fun dad decided to walk around with an old bridge camera and capture a bit of the changing season. Nothing much here in the way of trees and color, but it is clear that fall is upon us. The following were with my 10+ year old trusty Sony 717. As much as I hate to see the prime car washing season come to an end, alas, it is: http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138541741/original.jpg Last of the Summer Blooms: http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138541740/original.jpg Pink Flowering Dogwood in Fall Trim: http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138541739/original.jpg Definitely a Sign of Fall: http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138541738/original.jpg Pic Whore Dad with some Snapshot-Candids of the kids: Taken with a simple Canon EOS 40D and 50mm f/1.8 http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138539507/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138539413/original.jpg

Thumbs up here too! I went to high school with Joe and Anthony Russo the directors. I wonder if they are going to be involved in the new shows.

Technically it can go much farther. Underexpose -2 EV and then push back as necessary in RAW and you'll hit ISO 6400. You can go farther in manual mode too. Here's an ISO 6400 shot: http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/118911557/original.jpg 100% Crop from that same image: http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/118911533/original.jpg the DOF on a portrait...just make sure it's set to get both eyes in focus. It's tough if the head is turned. Just use the DOF Charts/links out there. You can always save or blur a background with the right plugins too.

I'm not sure what you mean by expanding your ISO range? Using a flash will certianly enable you to get better shots in low light and allow you to get better exposure in large venues so if by meaning you're ISO's will be more usable across the board, yes. I think Evan aka Tractor eluded to that. Yes. I'm at home today with my daughter who is sick but here's a crude example. Top image is with -2 1/2 FEV using ISO 100. The bottom is no flash, just ambient light from our windows. I had to go to ISO 800 to get the same exposure. Notice the key with using a flash is to never let anyone be able to see you're using one. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/138526239/original.jpg Play with the settings. Just remember that shutter speed will control the exposure of your background. Dragging the shutter a bit will help there. FEV dialed in properly will control exposure of your subject. Does the 270ex have a high speed sync mode? Read up on that and fill-flash; especially if you have IS on your lenses. Post some examples if you would. I would dial down FEV and lower your shutter speed to what is acceptable or do-able. If you stop down to say f/2.2 or f/2.5 you should be good in terms of sharpness. Now DOF will depend on your distance to the subject in the realm. What type of shots are you taking ?

I've been busy with travel for both work and fun and not been able to post too much this past month. I'm sure others have been too. Here are a couple shots that I had fun with from September. Heading back to Chicago again soon for another family vacation and thought I'd get in the mood by reviewing a couple taken there earlier. Keep me posted on the results where ever you end up going. I too am pushed for time and have a pretty large great room with 18' ceilings and a tall stairway and cat-walk I need done. I'm not looking forward to trying to carve out time or patients to do this one.

Meh....I bought a low mile 2007 one a few months ago from a friend in Florida and thought about selling our van. It was a RWD version with a V6. Plenty of power but in RWD even with T/C it sucked in rain let alone snow. (wife would drive it) but I thought perhaps she would enjoy it. I liked it but decided to flip it and make $2k instead. Road nice but wasn't any nicer IMO than the newer GM SUV's that have more for less. In AWD mode I would imagine it would be nice and we might have even kept it.

Good thing he's 51 because she is not going to age well. -
Congrats man! I remember those days well. I have both sonograms posted in my albums too.

You might want to consider just getting a smaller camera dedicated to macro work. Personally, I don't use my DSLR's for macro work. I don't because it's pricey to do so and I am not driving revenue from it. However pick up a used bridge model for dirt cheap and have at it. Here are some shots from a 7yr old 8mp Canon. http://www.pbase.com/nero_design/image/31353489 http://www.pbase.com/nero_design/image/31842950 http://www.pbase.com/nero_design/image/31844612 http://www.pbase.com/nero_design/image/31051239

If Macro is something you are going to focus on doing...pun intended...yes. If you're going to shoot using a light box or portable lighting set up with you, perhaps not.
-
Your lens shows a Minimum focusing distance of 59 inches & allows macro photography with a maximum magnification of 1 to 2 Compare that with a Canon 100mm Macro that will pull a life-size (1x) magnification at a working distance of only 5.9in. Tameron makes a wonderful 90mm Macro with a minimum focal distance of 11.4 in

No need for a trial and court case when it comes to fuck sticks that are considered "radical clerics", name Anwar al-Awlaki, and who are perhaps technically American citizens now living in Yemen. Just kill them and be done with it. The problem is we ask too many fucking questions about people like this who are best off eliminated and not thought of again. The world doesn't need any drama related to them. There are far better people to worry about protecting. Move on. http://news.yahoo.com/cia-drone-kills-u-born-al-qaeda-cleric-002023105.html ^^ can not be said any better. Agree. If anyone here really gives a shit and feels this guy needs support then they should be permabanned. I disagree. We are winning the war on terror by finally not fucking around with principles and constitutional rights on people that don't deserve the protection and respect from TRUE Americans. Yes, I do feel safer and proud that our Gov't finally pulled their pussy gloves off and decided to nip this shit in the bud by taking them out without haste. Anyone who believes we should continue to embrace political bullshit, court cases and drag these things out for decades needs to get their head examined. Kuddos for making shit happen and extinguishing the life out someone clearly not contributing to the greater good of our great country and the people who live here. I wonder how this guy feels about the whole thing: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96672

Only Anything 25mph over the limit can get you a reckless op. Cops judgement call. Last I heard reckless ops were 6pts not 4pts. Perhaps another judgement call but I'll let the LEO's here chime in. Either way it's an expensive issues both short term and long term.

Hell, all I want is to find one of those white/off-white Brinks Truck bags filled with money on the side of the road.

Cliffs: Dude #1 takes getting a chainsaw to his neck like a man and after the initial slice stays put to let the dude finish him off. Blood sprays all over dude #2 who has his eyes closed during the beheading right up until he's sprayed with blood. Then the surprise is his head is cut off with a large dull knife instead. WOW!

Welcome and in for pics! Could be a good one here....
