Ok, I'm paid. I'm sure there will be a number of racers from BuckeyeGoats sister site BuckeyeStangs that will sign up to break the GM hold on things ...although second on thought, there are some very good GM cars on that site too. LOL

I'll be driving but honestly don't expect to be in the final 16. IMO the group they pick will be in the low 10s.

I'm registered. ...hey Lance I just had a thought. Since I'm also running a few weeks before at Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk I can pass out some flyers there to the guys in the pits.

I run Sunoco 94 and am getting 20.5 mpg in mixed city/highway driving. I'm fine with that.

FYI, Quaker City did check helmets during tech at the rental I put on on May 18th.

I was active in the dog world for some time and have trained with some of the top breeder/trainers in the US so I do know a little about canine bred-in instincts and how long breeds retain their genetic imprint. ...so sorry but the dog was bred for fighting and many will revert to that without any notice. The blood line is very poor and that in itself leads to a generally bad temperament. The other problem is this breeds jaw which was bred to to inflict maximum damage to it's victim. The only real problem I see with this law is taking a family pet away. The law should instead require all to be spade or neutered and make it illegal to breed them. That way they would naturally become extinct.

Your right, Just looking at the fact that CR, BuckeyeGoats and INTENSE all dropped their spring and fall rentals at Norwalk was a sign that something like this was in the works. Well at least I'm going there for Pinks and Pontiac Nationals.

Track Rental Policy May 20, 2008 Summit Motorsports Park will no longer offer track rentals for the duration of the 2008 racing season. This decision was reached after consideration of the logistics involved in offering the track for private use. Track rentals are labor intensive and time-consuming endeavors that require resources that could be utilized more effectively in producing and maintaining the schedule that we have developed for our racers and guests. The business of providing the family oriented entertainment events, and the seasonal sportsman racing schedule to which we are obligated is our first priority. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to terminate track rentals. We will honor all existing track rental agreements, but we will accept no bookings for future rentals. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. ....THIS SUCKS!

The track says it is a go. But we have moved the time back to 11AM to 5PM because of morning rain that is anticipated!

The track has not called me yet to say Go/No Go. I have left to messages and do kno wthat they were racing today at 4PM according to that last message on there answering machine. The Weather channel has changed its forcast to only a 30% chance of rain around 11:00 and to 20% for 1:00 through the rest of the day. My guess right now is that we will start late but get it in. ...but I won't know until they call me.

Guess I should have said thread instead of link. LOL Weather Underground is what the track uses.

Because of the weather, the track will make a Go/No Go descision on Saturday...so check this link for that update. ...If it is a No Go, I will immediatly be asking for your availability on several open Sunday dates in June and July that can be used as a makeup date for the rental. Hopefully there will be no need for that. Russ
