  1. Sounds good not hard to swap out. Its going in on monday so if you want to come up and get it ill see about helping you get it out. The only bad thing is its in the yard over at my parents house. Really isn't a decent place inside to do it there. But I'm sure we can at least get it into the driveway to work on it. $100 and it's yours Interior color is red. Door panels are a bit beat up passenger side is cracked pretty bad but still in one piece. All the a.c. stuff is there. It worked off and on might need a new clutch for the compressor but it doesn't leak to the best of my knowledge. What all do you need from it? Had the same issue with my bench seat. I tore it out and replaced it with a pair or bucket seats from my old Bronco. Seats are worn but do have a pair of seat covers on them. As far as the rear leafs go they are the 7leaf springs, the passenger side had the end of one of the lower leafs snap off. (About 4-6 inches) still usable and never caused a problem. I have replaced the guide straps with bolt clamps. The only issue I have with taking the rear leafs is I need to be able to roll it. Having a tow truck take it and I don't have a back hoe or fork lift to help it onto the trailer. If we swap them out with your old ones I wouldn't have an issue with it
  2. Kinda last minute but I'm scrapping my bomb this week. If anyone is looking for parts or wants it in whole let me know ill sell it for scrap worth to save me a trip and save it from the crushed. Anyway about the truck. It is complete less the starter. Ran when parked. 5.0L short block with factory truck intake and bolt ons. Does have the t-40 heads. Long tube headmand headders. New oem radiator less than a year old when parked. 2 wheel drive. Transmission was replaced with a used aod with 88k on it when pulled. Rear end is nothing special but solid 8.8 .308 gear if I recall correctly. Body has typical rust but minimal. Minor spot at the bottom of the driver fender. Minor rust spot on drivers rocker under the door not visible from the outside when door is closed. Doors are solid no rust power windows. Bed is solid but dented. Large shallow dent on passenger side from brushing a tree while loading firewood. Wheel arch has been cut to prevent rust from spreading. Driver side has a patch panel welded in but unfinished. Dash and trim inside is complete less the headliner. Front end is in good shape as well. Complete headlights grille hood all in decent shape with minimal wear for the age. Prices are all any offer just hoping someone can make good use out of it before its scrap. If you want to buy it as a whole $600 (scrap worth) I will be getting rid of it this week so if you want something off of it let me know asap so can make arrangements.
  3. Hey guys just throwing this out there our door to door team is looking for new recruits this season. Its a decent job, pays well, salary plus commission, the benefits are great. Must have a clean back ground, your own transportation, and pass a drug screening. Scott's is a tobacco free company so must pass a nicotine test as well. Sales experience is a plus but not necessary. Paid training is provided. If you're interested shoot me a pm and I can give you more details.
  4. Short of the gauges and rear end ratio what's keeping this from being dailied or at least a weekend warrior?
  5. ↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑ this↑↑↑↑↑↑↑ 250 would be ok if he where sticking to the dunes but I woulnd want to rock it on the streets if I weighed anything over 140-150 jmo
  6. lol Ive had a few of those. Cleveland is a bit of a hike, but id totally be up for it if i had a better excuse to justify it lol.
  7. Thank you ^^^^^ I always mix them up. Anyway I wasn't thinking anything huge but I wanna get out and see some twists and turns for a good portion of the day.
  8. So my girl and I are looking to get a bit healthier. Shes been bugging for a treadmill,I i know from past experience that every one I've had it ended up turning into an expensive and bulky coat rack. Now she swears that she's going to use it all the time and I believe her (mostly because I told her its gone after the first jacket I see on it lol) anyway, I'm not looking to soak a buch of money into it but I am looking for something decent. Preferably something with incline as well as one that has a decent weight capacity incase I get a wild hair up my ass to hop on it. Looking to stay under $300
  9. Anyone gonna be out? Haven't hit the pavement much this year. Definitely down for a nice long ride. Anyone up for it?
  10. What kind of riding? Slow country crusing or decent paced twisty fun?
  11. Not trying to bash them, they are comfy. Just saying that for a bigger guy they don't have the flying off the handle bars feel like the newwer ones do. The 1100's are impressive for what they are but there's a huge difference between the 750 and 1100 imo. The output its very similar but the rpm difference for when you get to that tourq thats the "feeling" i look for. Not to mention the majority of the mid 90's 1100's had a 4spd gear box while the 750's had 5spd gb's. Now on that rare occation you came across an 1100 with the 5spd option that would be awesome!! 13.5 from a set of pipes is definitely impressive from an 89. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they seemed to tone the mid 90's 1100 down a bit from the late 80's though. Not by much but enough to take notice performance wise.
  12. Those pipes are knarly lol good lookin bobber. Those shadows are dogs but perfect for back road country cruising always thought theylooked good too. My uncle had a 1996 for a wile, usewto ride it all the time when i first started. Now he's got 06 or 07 shadow 750. Its like night and day compared to the older ones.
  13. ^^^^^^^This!!! ^^^^^^^^
  14. I tried finding one just in ohio alone, most where in cleveland or toledo and all way over priced for the issues they had. I wish you the best of luck my friend.
  15. Never hear of anything bad, usual maintenance but otherwise a good'ol honda. Perfect bike for what it sounds like you're looking for. Nice medium to long distace comfort and still sporty enough for spirited riding. I'd jump all over it if Its going for a decent price.
  16. Lol in the words of the unwritten coad......MAN UP!!!
  17. Grinder, hammer, hole punch that's all you need lol but if you don't want to mess with the old way there's this availible http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=281086620261&index=1&nav=SEARCH&nid=88995168541 then you can be the buddy that everyone borrows the tool from lol
  18. This is an 02 cougar.........HOW DARE YOU!!!!!
  19. As eceryone has said its all about the previous owners. If they took good care of it or beat on it every time they where on it. Engine style has a lot to do with it too. The old, sluggish inline 4 engines last much longer in comparison to a newer twin engine. The newwer bikes rev much higher too so that's something to factor in. Theres a huge difference in a red line at 16k and one at 10-11k. Those high revs takes its tole after a while. The style of bike makes a big difference too. Sport bikes are designed to be rode hard and put away wet. Sport tours are usually geared more for long trips but still hit the twistys on a spirited day. So typically they aren't ridden as hard and have a tendency to last longer. I've seen bikes go 30-40-50k plus because of the style they where ridden. But as most have said start with a cheap bike, learn on it, thrash it, then get the bike you want.
  20. Glad to see yami hasent fallen off the face of the earth!!! Proud owner myself
