  1. NO!!! she needs a well-maintained 4 cylinder econobox---period, the end. not an american land-barge, that will end up costing more in the end (when you factor in extra gas, and maintainence), compared with a $2300 civic. that's my advice. you can service a piece of shit with head-gaskets, water pumps, oil changes, etc, but at the end of the day its still a piece of shit.
  2. you should look for it to stop working shortly after you get it home. $1500 for a 150k mile, 12 year old car??? christ. are you looking to break up with this girl??? buy something small, with lower mileage, and that gets better gas mileage. i was just forced by my wife to sell her '99 nissan sentra---and i parted with it for $2500. 114k miles, maintained by me, and pretty much flawless for an 11 year old car. oh, and 27/36mpg. that's what you need. if you can't afford that kind of money, then there are still smarter choices then the car your going to get raped over. you need to run away from this car before you waste $1500. my father-in-law just laid a northstar powered caddy to rest as it split the block, and i'm not sure it had anywhere near 150k miles on it. see, we just saved you $1500
  3. there's a car show going on right now at the bottom of the scioto river---come, check it out!!
  4. my GTO is not a lightweight (3750lbs, roughly). also, i weigh more than the average new camaro driver since many of them are apparently skinny little fags, per GM's marketing tactics. my foxes have significantly less power, but are closer to 3000lbs; which is why you made that comment, i assume. cobra is 3550lbs give or take, and i'm not sure i'd waste the gas
  5. i've seen a few around--they're getting more common down here. only a matter of time before i end up dragging one around the block with one of my cars.
  6. just wait till people start pulling their double-wides with these cars---then the problems will really show up
  7. i take my rep back. didn't realize you couldn't get pics of the fartcan, because its actually not your car. fail
  8. these cars are getting harder and harder to find in good shape. hang on to them guys.
  9. pics of fartcan?? +rep (why not)
  10. +1000 5 year/100k mile warranty and dealerships still all over the place vs. a car that is probably already out of warranty and expensive as hell to find anything for---no brainer creature comforts and a conservatively rated 550 hp vs. significantly less power----no brainer boatloads of torque at 2000 rpms, instant boost of a positive displacement blower vs. naturally anemic (i mean aspirated) motor that doesn't make power until 5000+ rpms----no brainer pulley swap/exhaust/dyno tune=700hp vs. no chance in hell of finding anything other than maybe a $10k exhaust kit with 20hp gain----no brainer about the only thing the caddy lacks is the sheer sex appeal. but if you plan on using the car as a primary way to get laid, you might as well just pay for a whore--they're cheaper in the end, with less drama see, i made the decision for you. now a more difficult decision is whether to buy an '09 CTSV or an '09 Z06
  11. time for a pulley. it will be like buying a new car again
  12. thanks for the clarification. you're stock, you'd probably get beat by a catback/intake cobra with a seasoned driver. no offense, that is the norm. good decision to keep your car op. i need another one of these cars to just mod the piss out of.
  13. car looks good. keep it, and add a twinscrew. it will be like driving a whole new car. you would have no trouble selling your car on svtperformance---the coupes are more desireable and should actually sell for more than a vert.
  14. would like to see the video too. he should be comfortable with his skill set to the point he realizes things like this will occasionally happen.
  15. that's a lot of mods to throw at a car in one year of ownership. welcome. sounds like a stout car
  16. welcome to the site. i can appreciate the blacked-out car
  17. on a side note, i once mistook a '92 camaro for a port-o-john, and accidentally took a shit in the backseat. true story.
  18. i suppose you're right. i just remember seeing those cars along with dodge stealth's and mitsu vr4's.

    03 cobra

seems like a decent deal to me---remember, that's probably just a starting price
  20. 15 year old car is a 15 year old car. you can get 5 year old bulletproof cars with 600rwhp for less. supras are mostly hype these days. that being said, i will probably end up buying one eventually
  21. please post pics tonight, or i won't be able to get any sleep with anticipation. j/k. you can't put a pricetag on free, reliable transportation
  22. Hey don't act all butthurt just because you never got the chance to give him a happy ending after one of your 'special' adjustments
  23. i say go for it. if anything, you'll actually be able to relate to other people on this site and have something to talk about (your car). that way, you can finally stop spewing your lack of medical knowledge around here. see how fucking funny i am. on a side note, the car looks fantastic
  24. i drove by 4 fireworks stands just on the way to work today. galaxy fireworks has at least 8-10 stands on the side of the road within 10 miles of me--its crazy. i just scared the shit out of my kids with some artillery shells/festival balls. i'll probably get some more tomorrow. you can get 12 of the artillery shells for $10
