  1. should be pretty easy to do it yourself wiring: the blue wire connects to the yellow wire with black stripes, the black wire connects to the red one, and the green one connects with the other green one plumbing: no need for plumbing in a car?? shouldn't have a toilet or a sink in it?? hydraulic clutch: run hydraulic hose from clutch pedal to the clutch pressure plate tune it: tune should be spot-on see, that was easy. i accept paypal--$100. honestly, rob---gearhead on here knows 5.0's very well, and i'm sure he'd be willing to either help you with your project, or point you in the right direction. i'd pm him
  2. i was going to make a suggestion
  3. your friend needs to off himself. from a dig at the track, they can be difficult to master. but from a 40 roll with good tires and a pulley/catback/intake, or a bigger blower, you get the picture--even a novice can do well
  4. just some friendly hazing of the new guy. GTR's are fine by me, but a pulleyed cobra will put one down from a roll with relative ease. even with the 'get out of mud' function from a dig, the cobra will catch it by 3rd gear. apparently, the op is unaware of this?? i'd love a lancer for my winter car, and will definitely look into it
  5. why even comment about rain, when the car has 220k miles on it--the mileage speaks for itself. $6k for a car that could basically take a shit at any moment?? no thanks that's roughly 22k miles per year. assuming it hasn't been in rain, i take it, it hasn't seen snow either. so he drives this thing 6-7 months out of the year and has put 22k miles in that time every year?? "come on mike, i'm not one of your 8 year old friends that's going to believe that" --black sheep
  6. stick to the golf outings mr. scientist.
  7. time for a grande latte enema from starbucks?? we welcome all enthusiasts on this site. too bad you won't get a chance to see the taillights of my inefficient 700hp 4.6 liter. remind us how expensive upkeep is when the $20k transmission in your GTR decides to take a shit on you. other than that, nice collection of cars.
  8. only good news about the situation is that this procedure is 100% covered by health insurance
  9. rofl at this statement. welcome
  10. that's on the schedule within the next 6 months. i wanted a son badly.
  11. thanks guys. shit is crazy here right now. thank god my mother-in-law is here for a week while my wife recovers
  12. yep, born just the other day 8lbs 2 ounces. brock james. both mom and son are at home, healthy and happy. my twin 21 month daughters haven't figured out what's going on yet--they keep trying to kiss him and touch him. i was able to pay for everything before we left the hospital--was cheaper than expected but still twice what we paid for our girls at st. anne's, when i had the ultimate health insurance. wife now needs bigger SUV than our exploder, and dad needs a vette. http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/3299/dsc00082s.jpg http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/6117/dsc00177b.jpg
  13. that was great, honestly. the old man had me rolling
  14. yeah, its bad down here. i'm patting myself on the back at my decision last year not to buy a house down here for the year we're living in tampa---i would have been stuck with it. 100 houses in our neighborhood in foreclosure---thankfully, the one we're renting is not one of them
  15. damn, i just saw this--terrible news andy. i'm sure you guys caught it early enough to get it all removed. you guys will be in our thoughts. let me know if i can help--i still know many of the surgeons in columbus. kirk
  16. everyone on there should be embarassed:: 1) for not noticing it immediately 2) asking for dyno numbers stating they were interested in a $20 turbo kit
  17. bitter sweet, i'm sure. there will be other projects in the future.
  18. looks great. last pic is sig worthy
  19. don't hesitate to put him back on the ADHD meds if you think that will help him concentrate and up his grades. high school can be difficult even if you're focused. plenty of people remain on ADHD meds even beyond high school. there are a few different meds--you can switch up the med or dosing and see if that takes the side effects away. many of the side effects are dose-related (switch the dosing/timing of the med, and the side effects improve). just a thought.
  20. rofl. buddy of mine had a 15 year old son that would have friends sleep over on the weekends. these guys would play xbox live all night long. he said he woke up one saturday to go to work at 6 am, and saw his son pulling a xbox disc out of the freezer (WTF?). apparently, when the xbox gets hot as shit (if you've been playing it all night, for example), the disc can cool the rest of the machine down
  21. it will be in wisconsin when you make your way up there to tune it. triple
