will do. its a wrangler sport. i just talked to them, and my dad wants to sell it--he can't drive a manual anymore, and its just too high off the ground for him and my mom. turns out it has 52k miles i believe. almost certain its the wheel bearings that are bad on it--the car drives just fine though. about 5 months ago i replaced the fluid in both differentials, the tranny, and the crankcase. my 60+ year old mom drives this car 4 miles to work every day. i'll do a bit of looking, to figure out a reasonable price, and then obviously subtract what it would cost to get the bearings fixed. and my parents live just south of cleveland.

+1000 just to show how these cars have gone up in value, i bought my '87 t-topped GT 11 years ago in 1997. it was bone stock down to the filter, and had around 50k miles on it--i payed $4k for it--that was the going price at that time. as stated above, these cars are demanding the increased price for several reasons:: 1) DECREASED SUPPLY: they are simply becoming more rare for the fact that as time goes by, more and more are modded to hell, wrecked, parted out, abused, or plagued with rust. finding an unabused specimen that has been well-maintained for nearly 20 years is obviously going to be difficult--the cost will reflect this. 2) INCREASED DEMAND: people in their 30's (who are willing to pay good money) are buying these cars, because they want the car that was popular when they were in high school. sounds crazy, i know, but MM&FF looked at who was buying these cars, and it was men in their 30's. on that note, my uncle is getting rid of his pristine, 50k mile '85 GT--and i will be picking it up next summer when i move, and have more garage space. i can remember a buddy that had an '85 when i was in high school.

fyi--there's a difference between an asshole and a moron. you're a moron, and i can be an asshole. you contradict yourself with every post. you claim to be such a low-balling car wholesale dealer, yet you bought your truck for more than what it is worth (to the general public). i guess that's what you do, when you are buying something that is not very common---like the pristine mustang in question. foxes like the one posted are becoming more and more rare, and they are demanding high prices--you need to expand your research on these cars before you speak. when i'm looking to buy a car (and i bought my '05 GTO outside of ebay 1.5 years ago), i look at MULTIPLE sources for my target price. i looked at ebay and found that most GTO's were not selling (the reserve was never met), and the 'buy it now' prices were clearly too high. through looking at cars.com, autotrader, and asking around ls1gto.com (as well as looking at their classified section) i came up with a price i was willing to pay. when the car came around i wanted (it happened to be on ebay), i offered the seller the price outside of ebay, so i could check it out and bail out if necessary. i got a sweet-ass deal---$21k for a one year old car with 10k miles on it, in pristine condition. back to the thread, my advice to the potential buyer is to check out autotrader, cars.com, ebay, and mainly mustang enthusiast sites--corral.net is one that i look at from time to time, there are multiple others. you must do your research or you'll get burned. you can't just go off one source, like ebay--unless you're buying 10 year old cavaliers from auctions.

if you're not looking for a lifted jeep--my parents have a fully loaded '99 wrangler with bad wheel bearings that they're probably looking to get rid of. the car is completely unabused, with probably 60k-ish miles on it, and has been driven to work by my mom for the last several years. my brother drove it for 2 years in high school, and never took it off roading even once. its a manual, and has the bigger wheels, steeper rear gears, and the 6 cylinder.

this is not a car that would be sold at a wholesale auction--and the fact that you don't know that, and use ebay as your sole source of car pricing perspective, is what makes you a moron. yeah, you got a great deal on an overpriced, badged up f-150--congrats.

+1000 i ended up with heartburn throughout almost EVERY single game they played. they had so many close calls, and so many games where they pulled it out in the end--every game was balls-to-the-walls football.

jesus christ, dude, you are a complete fucking moron. go find a 5 gallon pale somewhere and just drown yourself in it. to the original poster, the price is fair. i would buy that car if i were going to leave it stock, or nearly stock. if he plans on modding it, you can find plenty of cars that have been lightly or heavily modded with a bit more miles on them for less money--but they won't be as clean as the one he's looking at. so many people buy these cars stock, with low miles (and pay a decent amount for them), and then end up spending tons of money modding the hell out of them--they spend more money in the long run, then they would have if they had bought a modded car from the start

yes. ford never imagined (or maybe they did) that TONS of people with cobras would add 120rwhp with a simple pulley intake and exhaust. they figured most cobra owners would be like (most) vette owners--older guys with no desire to hear their pistons slapping in the bores on cold starts because piston-to-wall clearances. so ford made the piston to wall clearance 0.001 to 0.002. the motors that are closer to 0.002 can withstand the heat that comes with multiple back-to-back highway blasts to 140+mph, combined with poor coolant clearance from the back of the driver's side head (by cylinders #7 and 8, which are the most common to expand and scuff the bore). the motors that check in at 0.001 can go boom even at stock levels with improper driving. and the head cooling mod helps limit the possibilty of this happening. i put the head cooling mod on my car when i installed the whipple, but i don't drive my car like an idiot.

i'm going to go ahead and have to ask you to choke on a dick, please. i'm sorry you went to an inferior school, and had a shitty college experience. go drift your car (with its sweet-ass wheels) into an on-coming semi, douchebag.

very nice results guys. i'd like to know how the cars drive under normal conditions. can you sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic if necessary?? i'd love to build a project like the ones you guys have just completed, but i like to enjoy complete streetability thanks kirk -

you're right, i have no idea what was said, because you can't put together anything near what could be considered a coherent thought. fuck off idiot--how's that for a dickhead statement from a buckeye fan.

you're in the right place, but you're too young to really be mad about anything--you will look back and realize just how fun things were at that age.

shit, i feel old. . i graduated in '95, and didn't hit my prime until college. "late '90's" still sounds bad. back to the bucks. anything can happen. i know they're underdogs, but this early in the season, you can't tell which teams are 'the real deal' or not. i'm not sure exactly what well's has. if its a turf toe, they can range from a mild sprain, to a debilitating injury that requires surgery.

thanks for the advice. i guess you weren't good enough to play a college sport??
