  1. this is starting to sound about right. honestly, when you hang out and drink, and you or your friends are careless with the way they behave (using racial slurs), these things will happen. cougar, tell your brother to chalk it up to experience, and count his blessings that he wasn't shot.
  2. +1 here. this thread needs to ask my wife if she regrets all the money she has in shoes, designer jeans, and purses. i could afford to do much more if i wanted to right now with my cars/new cars---most of my money is invested for retirement, and my 6 month old twins' education--family first
  3. there's a longer video, that shows the crash and the aftermath. its very hard to watch--mangled bodies everywhere
  4. ITS GETTING TO BE DONORCYCLE SEASON AGAIN. be careful guys--i could be the last person you see before going off to sleep for surgery, and i only scored in the 130's for the IQ test.
  5. darken the lights and black rims
  6. 137 here, with math as my specialty. looks like i'm one of the dumb people here.
  7. i've seen the safelite glass guys remove and replace two cracked windshields in my driveway. they have the angled knife to saw around the glass, giant suction cups to remove the windshield, and install the new one without having to handle the edges of the windshield as they come down onto the new sealant, and finally, the battery powered RTV (or whatever sealant they used) gun--it lays down a perfect, uniform bead all the way around the windshield
  8. this is actually a good point. the more you do to a car, the less fun it gets to drive, and the higher the chances of being left stranded are.
  9. maybe i'll go that way with the goat eventually. i'm interested to see how the G8 does
  10. not to threadjack, but i have a BBK off road h-pipe for shorty headers--$25 and a MAC catted midpipe for long tube headers--$50 i'll also check to see if i still have these, but i had new aftermarket fog lights for my fox. kirk
  11. LSX RX7 is on my list of "cars to get" nice job brian
  12. what is meant by "quick changes between pulls"?? my '04 needs a few things cleaned up in the tune since i'll be adding a midpipe and want just a bit more timing--i'd be willing to pay more than the entry fee too. kirk
  13. boxer's fracture. i guarantee it was a complete fracture, they always are, by definition. they almost never get operated on, unless the person has a rotational deformity in their finger (when you make a fist, your pinky finger rotates underneath your ring finger). if that was the case, you'd get some pins in your hand temporarily. you'd be amazed at how common this injury is. don't punch hard, stationary objects (doors, walls, etc.)
  14. +1 i paid $21,500 for my '05 M6 GTO 8 months ago, with 10k miles on it in pristine condition. i did get a great deal, so i like to brag about it--i'm usually a sucker.
  15. or pm me your name and i can look them up

    Auto Show

went to the auto show early sunday, and it was empty (pretty crowded by the time we left). i was a bit disappointed not to see the GT-R or challenger. and no GT500 either. i was close to talking my wife into getting an SRT8 cherokee (for me), but decided to wait until the bigger hemi comes out in a year or two. overall, it was worth it for me, because i got a chance to sit in most of the cars since no one was there yet. my wife decided she will be getting a decked out escalade or GMC denali once she has another kid (ouch). on a side note, we brought our twin daughters there, fed them before going into the show, and experienced one of the worst blow-outs ever. my daughter had shit all the way up her back, and down both of her legs--pretty much had to rinse her off under the sink, and since my wife didn't have a spare outfit, she rocked the auto show in a bib and diaper. i'll have pics of her shitted up outfit later.
  17. so it must not look anything like it does in the pictures you posted??
  18. if you have pics of the x-ray, post them up or pm them to me, and i'll make sure it looks ok
  19. my parents live just outside the snowbelt (brecksville), and got just over 20" of snow
  20. i would have gladly stayed (i wasn't busy at all last night--got some work done, and only had to set one broken ankle). but my fellow resident showed up this morning to take over.
  21. i worked all last night (sat on my ass doing nothing on call at mt. carmel east). drove from mt carmel east to mt carmel west (1 hour drive), and then to JEGS to pick up my wideband on the way home to hilliard--got home at 11am, and i have the rest of the weekend off. one full weekend off in like 4-5 months and this is the shit weather i get.
  22. i'm going down there (tampa) in a month to look at buying a house
  23. $75 an hour to sit around right now, watch movies, talk shit on the forum, sleep, and man-handle peoples' broken arms/legs when they slip on the ice
  24. my '90 7 up edition vert had AC before i got rid of it. AC is long gone in my '87
  25. meh, its an o.k. place. i only go there when the drug reps are paying, i think its too expensive for the food. and like gordon biersch, i hate their beer (guess i'm not a beer snob). amosphere/lighting in the bar makes it worth at least checking out. and +1 for downtown mitchell's--i like it better than hyde park, morton's, and ruth's criss. the food is obviously great, and the restaurant itself is always crowded. i hate eating at a "snob ass" restaurant ...cough.....refectory.....cough..... and have the place be fucking empty, yet you still have to have a reservation. i've got to eat at hendke's (spelling?) before i leave
