    GOP 2016

all the candidates this time around suck so far, plain and simple. i consider myself a conservative republican, but i hate politics---i hate discussing it, hate politicians in general---they lie, have their own agendas, and haven't done shit for this country in the past several presidencies. the president should be better, to quote CR. think of all the qualities that make up an amazing leader---and ask yourself in such a vast, amazing, advanced country that we enjoy living in---how the fuck can we not find a better leader than the group of misfits running at this time??
  2. Welcome back. Throw some pics up whe. You get a chance. Rare, to find a stock f-body---I'd say you found a unicorn.

  4. hey, it sounds great though. :dumb: honestly if you've driven it and love it, go for it. i've been bothered in the past with domestic cars, but the v was the best domestic i owned by an order of magnitude. the only gripe i had was the small gas tank, and it could have used an 8speed auto--i wasn't interested in the manual, but the manual would have been better. you should drive both cars. my buddy was in the market for a bmw, and he drove the M3 and 6 series. he hated the M3.
  5. at least test drive a cts-v------best daily driver i had before my audi. and it can be had with a stick. and would blow the doors off the M3. not that you'd race the car every day, but i'd be willing to bet the caddy makes double the torque of the bmw from 2000-4000 rpms where you use the car most. i don't know what these cars go for, but that seems high for a 3 year old car with 20k miles and i had zero issues with my ctsv in 3.5 years of ownership---zero

  7. For a few days? Yes no problem. A week? Maybe, but they'd be struggling at the end Kids can exhaust you. I have twins that are almost 8, and a 6 year old boy. I have them every other week for a week at a time. When I have them I still work full time as a surgeon, and have essentially very little help (nanny two days a week to pick the kids up from school). By the end of the week I'm exhausted. I miss them the minute they're gone, but there's no way in hell I'd be able to do this at 50. Sometimes I have to sit back and laugh at how insane the schedule can be, but at the end of the day it's more rewarding than my job, house, cars, etc.
  8. kids are a lot of work. plenty of enjoyment, but i would not have the energy at 60, that i do now. also, marrying a 25 year old with daddy issues is the worst idea i've ever heard
  9. That's the price for talking shit in enemy territory. Last year the cost of losing to osu was urban Meyer in his sig. This year, the price of talking shit should the bucks beat bama, should be a full choreographed buckeye dance by tutu boy himself.
  10. Thread delivers!!!! Congrats. Really wish ford would come up with a good 8speed auto.
  11. Laughs uncontrollably. Tries to catch breath after laughing for a minute straight More uncontrolled laughing, spitting out my water, can't catch my breath I'm laughing so hard. Here I figured you went to Alabama.
  12. What is your professional again??
  13. I don't keep cars long enough to rust. That's someone else's problem. Plus I wash my cars all winter long at the touch less wash. I love telling the story of coming out to the garage to find my 4 year old boy writing on my gtr with sidewalk chalk.
  14. Not mine. My plates read "audios". Been happy so far. I can fly just under the radar with this car, yet still cruise in style
  15. I drive the shit out of all of my cars without a single fuck given. Cars were meant to be driven. Period. If I drive my gtr all winter long and in the snow, you can only imagine what I would do with a focus. I'm going to be in Columbus on Thursday with my raptor and if I can find that stupid speed bump, I promise a 40+mph jump. I can remember the days when I wouldn't take my cobra out if there was a chance of rain. Wtf was i thinking?
  16. Ford missed the boat on this one. This was a great opportunity to solidify their spot in the awd hatch market. Launch the car with awd, 6speed only, etc etc. base price $32k. Optioned up to $36-37k max. Keep it this way for two years---you'll get plenty of buyers, but even more who want them yet are waiting for 2-4 year old versions, or are just waiting to make sure the car is legit. Then bump the power 20-30hp, add a twin clutch auto, better suspension package, and bump the price $4-5k. Now everyone who was thinking about buying the car HAS to have it, and you can sell them all day long optioned into the $40's.
  17. Hopefully they fortify the motor a little before going with a blower. I know plenty of people think it's ok to strap a Paxton or edelbrock tvs type blower to these motors, but they are not built for boost as seen in the c6z's and z28's. Honestly, they would have been better off putting that bigger 2.3 liter tvs blower on the 6.2 motor that's in the new c7z. They might not have even had to increase the boost to hit 700hp.
  18. no with that mileage, something big is about to come up. most won't agree with me, but i have a unique car buying policy. i'm not opposed to buying used cars at all--it makes sense to let someone else take the initial 30% hit in price. BUT if i can't at least afford to buy the car brand new, then i probably shouldn't be buying it. i like to put 20% or more down immediately---that way if shit hits the fan, and i need to get rid of it immediately, i won't be upside down. i would steer clear of this car though
  19. Good news, you get to eat the cookie at the end, bitch
  20. How the hell is this still available? I've always wanted a lightning.
  21. someone should post a video camera by the bumps just for the lulz check this low bridge out---impossible to watch this and not laugh your ass off
  22. I have terrible vision at night, and I have zero concern that I would be able to slow down in time, even if I was going 10mph over (25mph) for THAT speed bump. My analysis is driven by statistics AND emotion. I only get to see my kids 50% of the time, so I cherish that time, and would kill to protect my kids if necessary. Do I keep my kids in a bubble? No. Do they wear helmets? Hell yes. My kids have had cuts, bruises, stitches, we own a trampoline. Having kids changes your whole outlook on things. For the better, hopefully, or I feel sorry for the kids---that's not made towards you, but there are plenty of parents who are suck We can agree to disagree. If I had to guess, I would say the original poster was either 1) not paying attention at all and unexpectedly hit the bump at 25 2). Was going faster than 25mph and slowed down to 25mph to hit a speed bump that was designed to be driven over by normal cars at 15 mph 3) is driving a lowered car with a stiff suspension and took the bump too fast--again, over the posted 15 mph 4) is just pissed he had to slow down 5) some combination of the above
  23. ^^^. This post does not help your case. I can see that bump much easier than the last pic of a speed hump, aside from the sign. I can easily see it from three houses away, which is more than 75 yards, unless the houses are mini houses, and it looks like they are not. Not to mention the bumps are black, and the road is grey. They stick out!! The houses are extremely close to the road. I wouldn't want someone going 35 mph through there, which is exactly what would happen without the bumps, and a speed limit of 25mph. The closeup of the bump is unimpressive. Without a ruler to judge size, it looks like a small bump. Don't know what else to tell you. If your oil pan is scuffing that, your car is too low. If you want to look super awesome with a low car, don't bitch when you hit road obstacles
