    LOL

Any good deals? Link to items? I know nothing about running a business, and never will. 3 years ago I flew a tech out to my house to install parts on my gtr. Speed by design was the company. I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received. After two years, my car started running like shit. With no way of diagnosing it other than by description to the owner of the company, Chris---he flew out to my house (I only paid for his flight) and helped me install new pumps and injectors on the car, and tune it for no cost. The car has run flawlessly ever since, and he forever has a customer in me. His background was that of an equipment representative in orthopedic surgery. He quit that job to form speed by design. In asking him all about his business I learned he only installs parts and has a shop to offer a service to customers who want parts installed. He does very few "big builds", and tries to avoid them. 95% of his profit is from selling performance parts---plain and simple. The vast growth/complexity of the automotive industry and wide variety of cars/technological advancement makes it impossible to keep up with all brands and retain a mastery of each. Think about the average car today vs 15 years ago. When someone says "build me a mustang", think about how many different motor/trans combos have been utilized, and realize finding techs who can master all that information, while working in a potentially unstable work climate (vs a 9-5 dealership job with benefits/etc) is near impossible. Go to a dealership, and you'll find techs who have been there for 30 years. Go to a shop, and people come and go. With changes in the economy, it's tough to predict or prepare for variations in how willing people are to spend money on things (increased hp) that will eventually cause the car to break and thus, spend more money/hassle to fix. Personally, I would never invest in a performance shop, and cringe at the thought of going through the process of a "big build". I'm more likely to come along and buy the "big build" after its already been completed and sorted out
  2. Fixed. Ah, the joys of dealing with 20 year old college kids
  3. Come back when you have some experience with this "underserved" population that you speak of. It sounds great on paper, and appears to be a noble cause. However, this is the single largest group that abused health care before obamacare, and continue to clog emergency rooms around the country with every bullshit, non-emergent complaint ever invented. They are not interested in preventive care, eat like shit, smoke, do drugs, and basically live much "harder" then the general population. They are the first to talk about suing a physician, and the first to answer their fucking cell phone in the middle of a an office visit. They will agree to mri's, surgery, etc without asking a single question about cost or how long they will be off work---because they don't fucking work. We have an hour block each office day where we see these patients. I double/triple book each spot with insured patients because I know over half of the obamacare patients don't show up Less than 5% of this population makes up the "hard working, blue collar" American who has a job that simply doesn't come with insurance. Out of this 5%, maybe 1 patient per year can afford to take off work for 3 months to recover from the surgery they need (I'm speaking from my practice experience). So, for one surgery out of 600 per year, I feel like I've properly taken care of this underserved populous.
  4. So a stock mustang with a blower, exhaust, body kit, ugly paint, tires, and upgraded half shafts for $90k? I'll pass.
  5. You have zero chance of becoming a dyno operator. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Your certain reply will reinforce the zero fucks given :lolguy:
  6. Still 3 years from launch. Don't get too excited. Jay Leno and letterman have both retired before this fucking thing has come out. Remember them in the Super Bowl commercial?
  7. There are millions of dyno videos on YouTube. For those of you saying this is a normal dyno pull, please link me a video of a dyno pull even remotely this long.
  8. at this point i would take the car to an abandoned parking lot and set it on fire insurance claim profit
  9. i can't imagine seeing a google car driving by itself with passengers sitting facing each ohter in the rear seat-- not going to lie here, as a raptor owner, when/if i see that---part of me wants to drive up to the car and 'tap' it. any thoughts as to what it would do?? maybe it slams on the brakes and screeches to a halt maybe it slows down carefully, pulls over, and notifies the police, insurance company, etc and maybe, just maybe the computer driving it says "fuck this shit" and tries to ram my truck off the road. thoughts??
  10. I have to decide what I'm going to do with my other cars. Mainly my vette. Pretty sure I'm keeping the gtr and I love the Audi. They had a metallic brown paint and optional wheels looked good. Alcantara interior was nice. I knew the acceleration was going to be quick, and different from my other cars. Even with 5 of us in the car, the launch was uncomfortably violent
  11. Not gonna lie, I was in Columbus last weekend for a work conference and the game. Drank way too much at lunch in Easton at the rusty bucket, walked into the tesla store, had the guy drive us around Easton, and nearly walked out with a tesla. I love the rear facing seat, and obviously all the power. But. The interior on that car is dog shit compared to my Audi. There's only one supercharger in Wisconsin. And there's no dealership in Wisconsin. The thought of having to take my car to Chicago for anything going wrong with it makes it a prohibitive purchase at this time
  12. I'm not as worried. I think we've established jt as the man. He's a better short passer than cardale, and he is much more of a run threat. I still think a read option attack with jt and Braxton would be nasty. Zeke is a big part of the offense, but Braxton, Dunn, and dontre are run threats as well. They don't match zeke---but imagine lsu losing fournette or bama losing Henry.
  13. Proof That Even God Hates Harbaugh
  14. Awaiting geeteeo to come in here and give us a four page history lesson on said car
  15. This. You're young. There will be plenty of time for toys.
  16. did you ask to guess his weight?? try to lift him up to judge? that used to be my favorite pick up line with women. ask them how much they weighed, told them i was going to pick them up to try to guess, and then carried them back to my cave:lolguy::lolguy:
  17. you know what's fun to drive?? a car that starts every time you turn the key, never overheats, never breaks, is cheap to maintain, and safe for your children. a second car can be a toy, a project, whatever you want. i would buy the newest, lowest mileage car you can afford.
  18. the catback i had on the car was loud as hell---super annoying, drone, etc. when i put the stock catback on the car and drove it 8 hours to columbus, it was like sitting on an 80mph silk couch, getting a bj from a supermodel, while eating a morton's porterhouse. i almost kept the car but i need awd
  19. that was my impression of the car as well. it felt much more 'planted' than my GT500 did, and i owned and drove both cars at the same time. my V was an auto, but i felt it put the power down better than the more powerful stang. i couldn't imagine the new V with that 8 speed auto. and the brakes on the caddy were the some of the best i've experienced in any car. i couldn't explain it. they never faded on me, the feel of the pedal and responsive-ness of the braking was incredible. sounds like you're having some 'ticky-tac' annoying things with the car. my advice is to save your warranty for catastrophic issues with the car and fix any of the small, inexpensive stuff on your own. you can get an amazing amount of information off cadillacforums. are you really that surprised you know much more about the car than the dealer techs, from a couple weeks/months of research? enjoy it while the roads are in good shape. if i lived in columbus, i'm not sure i would have gotten rid of my V
  20. i love watching football at wild wings cafe near coligny plaza. should be a good time. :fuckyeah:
