there's nothing 'cool' to me for having a 60's muscle car sitting in my garage collecting dust. i'm not out there for coolness or style points, i could give a fuck what others think of my cars. 99.99% of cars are horribly DEPRECIATING assets that require upkeep and maintenance. i have plenty of shit that appreciates sitting in bank accounts that requires zero maintenance, thought, or concern. cars get stolen, wrecked, scratched, etc. i drive the fuck out of all my cars, literally. i've literally tried to break my GTR every time i turn it on. and i drive it all winter long. buying a '60's muscle car and spending a ton of money to throw a crate motor in it is insane. there's something to be said about buying a car with a full warranty, all the amenities, comfort, a/c, seats 5, and can run 10's right off the showroom floor.

this. run as much as you want. barring any major knee injury, genetics will determine when you get your hips/knees replaced. if running is what you love---if it keeps you from getting early heart disease, you'll be much better off in the long run. i run 25-30 miles a week, and have been for better than a year. i also cycle, and swim, but running does it for me. i don't have two hours a day to cycle, but i have one hour a day to run 7-8 miles.

i just got the GTR running awesome again, and am actually considering modding it further. the GTR isn't going anywhere, but the kids told me last week they don't really like the cts-v anymore......

I WILL daily the fuck out of that. No, you cannot take $10k, and add it to a scat pack and make a hellcat. You can try, but if you want hellcat power with a warranty, there's only one way to do it. Same way you can add a blower to a 5.0 mustang and pretend it's a gt500.

the problem is you sell it to someone for $750, they part it out for $1250, yet they've spent 20-30 hours or whatever pulling all the shit off of it. its not worth it for all the hassle of the work and finding people to buy shit for $500. sucks at least she's ok

go over and talk to them. they either: 1) have no idea that its an issue or 2)don't give a shit only one way to find out, and that's a face-to-face meeting. if its #1, then the problem is solved. if its #2, you can skip all the passive aggressive shit and simply file a complaint with the city--no need to put up stakes, yellow lines, mulch, rocks, etc.

I have blizzaks on mine. I would have ripped through that parking lot like its nothing. I've had zero issues with my gtr in all but the deepest snow

not that my GTR is anything crazy, but i drive the fuck out of it all winter long. i can't tell you how many times i've used the front splitter to plow the bottom of my driveway. i have the snow tires on the car from october to april, and literally drive it anything but deep snow. now that my kids are getting bigger, i can't fit all 3 in the car comfortably anymore.

this is the best advice of the thread. i've never owned a boat, but i've seen first hand through my buddy what a money pit they can be. granted, he has a 32' whaler and we fish offshore in florida---they can be a huge $$ pit. find out if you like it, and your family likes it, before you buy a sweet new lawn ornament

You don't have to do shit. Put the key in, turn it, and drive. Seems like an easy question. Am I missing something?
