  1. Why not leave it stock for a while? Mine has been stock, and the car will beat most cars out there stock. I guess I'm always with my kids when I have it so I don't really use the power with them in the car. If you mod it, you will get most bang for the buck with an intake, pulley, heat exchanger, and long tubes. Don't bother with a catback. Don't bother with an intake alone. Don't bother with a tune alone. Intakes don't really add power without a pulley. Catback will just make noise and might annoy you with drone. Longtubes will make power and a little more growl. Get ready to buy new rear tires I would never cam a daily driver but that's just me. Not worth the 30 hp in this particular car, and any more power over 650-ish (what you get with what I mentioned), and other driveline parts are at risk (trans). You want your daily driver to start every time, never overheat, never strand you, and not annoy the shit out of you on your way in to work
  2. Is it a medical question or a question about paying for shit?
  3. Anything you do to a modern day vehicle's computer that increases power or changes vehicle driving dynamics, will void the warranty and is 100% traceable even if you revert it back to stock. The only time I would expect a computer mod to be covered by the warranty is if it's done at the dealership
  4. Definitely a great movie. The book is obviously better. But cooper did a fantastic job of portraying kyles personality/values/character. A real eye opener into the nastiness of war and PTSD. Theater in Milwaukee was packed full. Not one single person got up either. Everyone clapped when he finally picked off the other sniper. That's not how the real story went, but definitely made for better entertainment. I don't go to see movies often, but this was the best film I've seen in a long time
  5. I'll be short and to the point. I take care of some vets, but the system is so fucked, many times they have to see dr's at va hospitals. Most of the time, these va dr's are not the best (to put it lightly). Everything with the govt is slow as fuck and inefficient as fuck. And quite simply, physicians can't make a good living as va docs. So the va gets the b-team. If the damn govt would let them see any private physician and reimburse docs a reasonable rate for veterans' healthcare, these vets would have much easier, quicker access to world class care. But, it's the govt.
  6. Lol I scrub the ever living fuck out of my hands multiple times daily, and cut my fingers on sharp suture all the time. I should take pictures of my fingers. I've used working hands, super glue, and dermabond (what we use during surgery). Superglue works the best. You have to apply it a couple times a week. Just a drop or two.
  7. Awesome^ The fact we played three highly ranked teams all in a row, and won each game convincingly, is all the more incredible. It's not like we beat a soft big ten team for the championship and then got lucky in the nc. The playoff system makes the national championship even more special if you ask me.
  8. nah, when you're going out with a butterface, you can brag to all your buddies about how great she is in bed, or how good she looks naked---but it doesn't mean shit. the only thing everybody sees is her ugly-ass face. sometimes you don't mind banging the ugly chick who is a monster in the sack. i'd rather have both.
  9. Damn. That was dominant. Could have easily been 56-20
  10. Lord of the poster board? How fucking awkward was that?
  11. I retract my statement before. Clearly the Chevy is slow as balls. Let's get him in here to race everyone posting in this thread. Who can take him?
  12. Booyah bitches. Let's do this. Getting ready to put on my aj hawk jersey and cuss at the tv. Having wings and some beers. Checking in from Wisconsin
  13. Pricing? (Not the mustang)
  14. I've never really tried the v in the winter. The ex did, and nearly wrecked---which is one of many reasons why she's the ex It's hard for me to drive the v in even cold weather, when I can drive my gtr like a jackass in literally any weather
  15. I'd have to agree. We need to hold students accountable for completion. Otherwise you get people who just want free shelter for a few hours a day. And 3.0 should be doable. If you're going to school on my dime you better be fucking trying
  16. The break in? For 500 miles never maintaining a constant speed. Just basically varying speed, and not using cruise control on the freeway. And no wot pulls. Sucks, when my commute is 5 miles. It still whines on deceleration at 50 mph. Doesn't whine when cruising, doesn't whine when accelerating, and doesn't whine at any other speed. And when I say "whine", I'm being a bit of a bitch. Every mustang I ever owned made twice as much noise from the rear end
  17. If the ctsv came with awd it would be the only car I'd recommend. If it came with awd and the 8 speed, I'd be buying a spare one right now. I've owned mine for over three years and it makes a hell of a daily. Decent trunk, good back seat, awesome seats, great styling, best stereo gm has ever put out, great sound with a catback from that big v8, and the suspension is butter when you want it to be, and firm when you put it in sport mode. You can easily add 100hp if for some reason 556 isn't enough. Things I'm not thrilled about:: I think I average 14.4 mpg. I drive mostly city miles, but gas mileage sucks. Combine that with a small gas tank (16 gallons I think?), and it makes it even more irritating. I wish the exhaust was dual mode. I have a catback and get just a hint of drone. I'm spoiled with the vette having dual mode exhaust. The rear end whines just a touch. Again, nitpicking. I had the rear on mine replaced 15k miles ago for whining, and it still whines just a bit. I even followed the break in procedure. The tires are low profile 19". And I'm on my 3rd set of rear tires since I bought the car. For whatever reason they wear out quick, and I don't even really do anything nuts with the car---my kids are always in it when I'm driving it. I've gotten about 10k miles from each set of rears, and have 35k miles on the clock. Again, these are only minor things, I'm being picky.
  18. +1 It's not like it was close. The Chevy disappeared into a different fucking time zone.
  19. I have not sat in the regular seats. I have the recaros and love them. They are better than the seats in my vette (duh), better than the gtr (too narrow for me). My gt500 had recaros and they were awesome as well.
  20. Last winter the ex spun the v out into a snow pile. Not sure why she even had it out but it was all over the place
  21. I love my caddy. In the summer. Pulls like a freight train even stock. I've hurt some feelings in that car. Mustangs, vettes, just about anything that has tried. Not too many really fast cars where I live though. I don't get to drive it six months out of the year though. I have summer tires and it is undriveable in the snow here. I'm not sure how good it would do with snow tires. I have two other awd vehicles for the winter. My caddy just didn't see much duty at all last year. Sucks. Can't decide whether to keep it or sell it. I'm also up in the air about selling the gtr this year for a four door, awd world killer. Or keep the caddy and sell the gtr/vette and buy something like a mclaren. Lol If the caddy could handle the snow, it would get my vote. With a pulley, it is a mid 11 second car all day long. The mag ride is incredible and the seats are the best I've had in any car. Back seat has room for my 3 kids, and the auto is good. An 8 speed would be sick. I'm just concerned it wouldn't do well in the snow, which is the only reason I'm considering selling mine this spring/summer
  22. My dream job is to operate an excavator. Lol. Seriously. My elementary school teachers were absolutely shocked to find out I ended up going to college, grad school, etc. The point is, after high school it's all about motivation and hard work. Some people have it, and some don't. Some people end up spending the rest of their life jumping from shitty job to shitty job. Others don't get motivated until they are well past high school. Doesn't mean they can't work their way up the company they are employed by, or go back to school later to advance their career or start a new career. I'm all for education grants and scholarships/loan programs for people to get into a two year college provided:: They have the grades to get in, and they maintain a certain gpa. The idea of paying for everybody for any reason is bullshit.
