  1. my wife doesn't like vipers, but at some point i would definitely own one. i honestly contemplated getting a new GTR, but in the end, just had to get this car because of what it is, and the ridiculousness of a car that can easily make 680-700rwhp and as much torque, with the mods i listed above. not saying i won't get a GTR at some point in the future though.
  2. i ordered the car in june, and have been lucky to get it this quick. i've heard horror stories on svtperformance.com. my local stealership wanted $2500 over msrp. a couple others wanted $5-10k over :dumb::dumb: i found a dealer 30 minutes away in green bay that agreed to msrp with $2500 down. at this point, msrp is a pretty good deal and i wanted the car asap so i could enjoy it before the weather turns to shit here. the transaction/experience could not have gone smoother.
  3. thanks guys. definitely going to make this car more of a 'driver' compared to the cobra i owned, and only drove 19k miles in 8 years. no intentions to mod this car beyond the state of what i consider comfortable/safe/reliable to drive long distances--at least that's what i told the wife.
  4. she doesn't like how they look :dumb: as far as mods go, i've had them sitting in my garage for about a month :lolguy: cold air intake, cobrajet throttle body, colder plugs, john lund tune, off-road x-pipe, short throw shifter. gonna get another set of wheels with sticky tires. i'm holding off on a pulley for a little while. not sure why i decided to pay for a 6 year powertrain warranty??
  5. the pictures pretty much speak for themselves. 2013 grabber blue, performance pack, recaros, sync navigation/entertainment, glass roof, car cover. put about 60 miles on the car today--all of which was with my 3 year old in the back, so no crazy stuff. got my first kill though--on the way home my wife was in the cts-v, and apparently wanted some. didn't end well for her. :fa: haven't tried the launch control, and apparently there are several steering settings, and a bunch of other electronic shit. :lolguy: http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/5894/dsc00457j.jpg http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/6426/dsc00488zl.jpg my boy approves of the car. :fuckyeah: he insisted on doing a burnout in the driveway. he's part of the 'all american crew' lol http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/4194/dsc00522y.jpg http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/4128/dsc00453fb.jpg the money shot. time for some mods. http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/6198/dsc00473vxp.jpg the arsenal http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/4591/dsc00501vl.jpg http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/2514/dsc00504mw.jpg http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/299/dsc00534ol.jpg
  6. that's why they call them accidents. you know who cuts their fingers off with a tablesaw, or who mows over their foot?? not the 'idiot' you would think, but the professional woodworker, and employed lawncare professional. a simple lapse in concentration combined with a false sense of 'comfort' with the equipment is what leads to injuries. i deal with work compensation patients often. these people are painful as shit to deal with for everyone. Even though it pays me VERY well, its almost not worth it. no one wants to go back to work, everyone wants to be on disability, and nearly everyone has a shitty result despite receving the exact same care, etc etc. just be careful, protect yourself, and do everything by the books as much as you can. good luck, hope the business takes off

    New

Cute car. Good intro, welcome to the site. I'd actually buy one of these if they came in the us with the twin clutch
  8. If you're looking for a lot to mow, my brother's neighbor foreclosed on their house, and the yard has been un-mowed all summer---driving my brother nuts. Pm me if you want the address---its in hilliard. Mexicans are your best bet. When I lived in columbus they were always hanging out in home depot parking lots
  9. I figured he was busting your balls. I don't totally regret selling my cobra--I just didn't drive it enough. Then the new owner calls you 3 months later telling you how awesome the car is, and how he just ran mid 10's at the track--and you immediately want the car back. Rofl.
  10. Not everybody can be, or wants to be John force. Every bench racer who can't afford to buy or build shit loves to talk trash when others' cars don't run what they think they should. Not sure if you fall into that category, and couldn't give two shits other than to throw the observation out there
  11. Trust me, you'll regret it. You don't have to race the car, simply enjoy it on the street. I built my cobra up to drag race (full suspension, 600rwhp, built/stalled auto, etc), only to find out that this is not the time in my life to dedicate tons of time to racing. I sold the car, and if it were not for my vette, I'd go stir-crazy nuts. I go out and cruise a couple times a week for an hour or two. Busy career, 3 kids under 5, and a wife who basically hates all things car-related. You just have to make time.
  12. Lol. Pretty sure I wouldn't want to take a shot to the face from the dude in the green shirt, let alone 4 guys at once
  13. Damn. Badass car. I'd love a vette for a drag car
  14. You drove the wrong cobra, or mine was just that good. Sure, my c6z and ctsv are more comfortable, etc--but they are that much newer/more expensive--that's what I'd expect. But my '04 would rape-choke either of them in a straight line, which is quite simply, the only reason people buy these. Sounds like you need to buy a NEW car. Lol at driving 10 year old cars notorious for being run HARD and bitching because they're not 100% perfect. Let me guess, it had 7 different previous owners and 100k miles? It's probably seen a pulley, then port, then a couple different twinscrew combos, before being modded back to stock and traded in. FYI, I smoked an exhaust/intake c5z from a roll, when I was at 13psi with stock exhaust, and I pretty much suck at racing. And don't call it a fucking 'termi'.
  15. Terminator all the way. Otherwise, you should go with a base gt vert and add whatever you want if you should decide you want more power, or to autocross, etc You might as well consider the terminator a 525hp car, because you will not find a stock one in your price range. 525hp, built motor, 6 speed, beefed up IRS, etc. it's a no brainer
  16. Sometimes if I'm pissed at my wife ill eat tons of brroccoli at dinner. And watch the ass fireworks fly all night. That's my contribution to this thread. Lol
  17. Yeah, it looks like a good swap. I've been following these cars for. 5 years. Almost bought one several times. My wife is not a. Huge fan of them or else I'm sure I'd have one already
  18. Lol. Let me know if/when you want to sell this. I was following the car on eBay. It started out at $25k and was relisted several times until it was down around $19k. I was seriously contemplating pulling the trigger. Checked on eBay the other day and didn't see it anymore. Some of these guys are obsessed with buying these cars and doing the swap. They seem to do a better job each time they do the swap and sell the car. The secret is to scoop one that they are selling
  19. +1000 i'd steer clear of a 65k mile benz where the motor (if it blows) costs more than the whole car.
  20. meh, best way to make a small fortune in the restaurant business is to start with a large fortune. maybe fast food is different, i don't know
  21. that, and whatever car that was in the lane next to him was essentially right behind him at the 1/8th mile. i doubt that car is 630rwhp.
