We used a little bit of everything--live pinfish, squirrel fish, shrimp. Dead whole sardines, squid, cut up bonita fish, etc. Very little use of artificial lures

day number 2---actually 2 days later. target, again, is a different spot 60+ miles out. these spots are tightly guarded, and my buddy has tons of spots on his GPS, and boat radar. most of them are artificial reefs (old bridges, army equipment, etc--basically anything massive that can be placed at the bottom of the ocean). first couple casts brought some small, non-keeper red groupers, and a few large gag-groupers (out of season). then i nailed this beast. probably 40lbs?? its an amberjack. unfortunately, out of season at this point. http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/4858/fish18.png our buddy mikey also nailed this large red snapper at the same time. doing my best impression of a troll face while he flexes like a jackass http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/8868/87584168.jpg then it was his turn to nail an amberjack. they don't call these 'reef donkeys' for no reason. they're a bitch to pull in. eventually we had to switch spots, as we were only pulling these bad boys up. we ended up leaving another spot that was riddled with barracudas--yeah, they look cool, but they kill anything you bring to the surface--you end up pulling a fishhead out of the water. http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/6782/fish3.png http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/6664/fish17.png our second-to-last spot was a gold mine. we nailed red grouper after red grouper. we had 3 over 18lbs, and one was over 20lbs. we got 14 red groupers, 5 red snappers, 2 trigger fish, and several mangrove and lane snappers. keep in mind when you look at the picture below, that red groupers (the middle two rows) have to be over 20" to keep. we had an insane amount of fish http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/6587/fish10.jpg took us nearly 2 hours to fillet the fish. we probably had/have over 60lbs of fillets. crazy. you can see this pic was at 8pm, before we started filleting. both days we went out at 6:15am, and came back around 8pm. depending on how rough the seas are, it might be a 2 hour ride each way, just to get out to the spots. we froze all the fish and split it up http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/6348/fish11e.jpg

guys. we were long-overdue for a mancation to go fishing in sarasota. just got back yesterday, after perfect weather and a great time. :fuckyeah: my buddy's 32 foot boston whaler. he bought it new about a year and a half ago, after deciding a 23 footer just wasn't large enough to go offshore deep. full compliment of electronics, fish finders, radar, every safety option, etc etc. http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/5112/dsc00374zy.jpg twin mercury 300's. http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/111/dsc00376wk.jpg heading out to sea, like a boss. we usually go to the farthest spot out and work our way back--we're going about 60 miles out, and 150-175 ft depth. you have to go far out at this point in the gulf, to get to deep water. sometimes you can go 35-40mph, sometimes 20-ish, just depends on the waves http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/8/stormfishing1.jpg first catch--american red snapper, big one. we nailed a few of these the first day http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/3522/redsnapper.jpg large gag grouper---too bad they're out of season. this would have been an awesome keeper http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/1092/gaggrouper.jpg this was the first day's take--not too bad. several american red snappers, a red grouper, and some smaller mangrove snappers http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/2757/fish14.png

Wealthy or not, "At the end of the day he still has a lambo, mansion, etc etc" Yada, yada, yada All those arguments hold no water here Bottom line: No one enjoys being made a bitch of in a public forum, which has definitely occurred here. Failed callout, failed 'build' thread, failed logic at nearly every turn with the car, and likely a failed business venture. I guess he did have one victory in this car, unless his buddy who accepted defeat changes his mind

Post link to the video.

Like I said, ill take one of the lifts when they go bankrupt. It will barely be used. Lol

2013 Shelby GT500 vs 2013 Camaro ZL1 Dyno Comparison

I have to agree with the overall decision to leave cleveland. But 100 percent disagree with the MANNER in which that immature, fuckstick left. Be respectful, tell the city/mgmnt/etc why you're leaving. Don't hold a 1 hour special on nat'l TV saying you just made the decision that morning when you woke up--like you decided to take a shit or not. When you're going to alter the economy of a city by a billion $ (whose fans have embraced/loved you the whole time), you need to exercise a little more tact than he did. Like I said, fuck him. And I live 8 hours from cleveland, and generally hate basketball.

well, the good news for you is that bone heals to bone much better than tendon heals to bone. if i had the choice of a patellar tendon rupture, quad tendon rupture, or patellar fracture----i would choose patellar fracture first, and the other two much, much further down the list. its a common injury that most general orthopedists should be able to take care of. if you want the name of a knee specialist, just let me know. yeah, your summer is fairly fucked---but there are a lot of worse injuries. you'll be able to put full weight on the leg, just no bending of the knee for 4-6 weeks after surgery. good luck kirk

welcome to the site chris. i can't see any pics, but i assume its a black '04 GTO. i loved my '05 GTO, but ultimately sold it for something faster. partly regret it because i loved the car even if it was just 'ok' as far as speed goes. enjoy the site, good luck with your build

don't care who wins any NBA game/championship as long as its not the heat. sure, cleveland didn't work out for le-fail. he can argue that the city sucks, gm didn't give him enough supporting staff, etc etc. but he has absolutely no excuse for the classless way in which he left (one hour 'anouncement' special on nat'l tv). claiming he woke up that day, and made his decision. fuck him. while i would never wish physical harm on someone, i hope he ultimately never wins a ring, gets traded several more times, etc.

when i lived in tampa, i drove by this place twice a week, and always wanted to buy one. they always had 20-30 of these cars in their lot--never seen anything like it http://www.zdocs.com/

-
sale pending on my cobra
-
basically a shitty kit-car made with likely a low-tech 7liter v8 with forced induction, completely maxxed out on the edge of reliablility, made by one of the shadiest motherfuckers in the automotive aftermarket industry, likely with at least some stolen parts?? that about sum it up for everyone? 1.1 million :dumb: i don't think i'll be cancelling my veyron order anytime soon to sign on the dotted line
-
good looking car. congrats. gotta love the feeling of getting a desireable new car
-
easy enough. we just have to wait a little while, read about it in the news, and then we'll have the name of it. :lolguy: i'm now interested to find out what this movie is as well
-
I noticed that you used the word "to" in your second sentence. It should have been "too". Sincerely yours, The management
-
i'm considering it highly. i have to part with my '04 cobra and cannot decide whether to trade it in, or sell it privately

buy a modern car then. i've owned 4-5 foxes (lost count), and whenever i see an un-molested mint fox, a tear comes to my eye. i own a 52k mile '85 GT with t-tops. it will never have a chance of running with my vette--so why try?? i've got some plans for it this summer---none of them include adding more power. its a cruiser. i'd kill for a clean, low mileage, un-molested '93 cobra. congrats on owning it for as long as you have. i sold my t-topped '87 GT 2 years ago, but had owned it since 1997. i had modded it to the point it was uncomfortable to drive, and couldn't run more than 13's
