  1. I think you may be best off having two shops look at it. A repair shop could sort the mechanicals, and then Clifford could take care of the aesthetics.
  2. Even if you are in a zoning district that maxes out at 15' as many do, you can probably put in an 11' wall with a low roof pitch. If it is a metal building, roof pitches can even be lower. If you are wood framing, just vault it...with scissor trusses or is stick framing, instead of ceiling joists just use the collar ties.
  3. I sent you a fairly ballpark email, but I can certainly get more specifics if need be. A lot depends on the lot!
  4. I design all the homes for 3 Pillar Homes. Always glad to help if I can. Like Matt said, the 'off-site' builds, can really get spendy with septic / soils / water, trucking, driveway, ect.
  5. Is this the same sort of prize? https://sccafoundation.tapkat.org/offtotheraces4 At least it would go to a good cause.
  6. Steel studs are $$$$ Could always go metal siding on the wood frame, but at that point you would just be spending extra for the metal. Only cost effectiveness of a metal building is its 'post and beam' sort of assembly....and you can get higher ceilings typically....bigger you go the most cost-effective metal is... for 24x30, its likely wood is the answer
  7. Yeah after smelling house fires for a couple years, I can hardly enjoy bon fires, or driving through the country. Sometimes even food trucks bring it back. They were not even my house, but its a smell I cannot shake. I couldnt imagine visiting my house during the process and having to smell that burnt-stuff smell. Then again, most might not be a scent pansy like me.
  8. Thoroughly fvcked up any semblance of Tims correction work. Good times though! Its about 50x worse than that last photo shows. photo credit: @breezy.images. https://www.flickr.com/photos/58592412@N07/with/48516407652/
  9. Bra-vo. Id say that checks all your boxes. Plus in true Buick fashion, you can fit 22.5 dead hookers in the trunk! Win!
  10. This FJ Cruiser says right on the fuel door to run premium. Toyota later did a release saying that was only because that was the fuel used to get the MPG numbers but 87 is fine. I still have run premium to this day. I think every new car is smart enough to compensate for octane, but the owner may not be smart enough to not give it absolute hell while running shitty fuel.
  11. Yes. Not a whole ton of interest to be paid on a car note anyway if you get a good rate. That said, if you have other debts make sure you shouldnt be putting that extra to them instead. Just like making by-weekly payments on a house. The extra payment per year cuts the amount of principal and thus interest substantially over the life of the loan.
  12. Aftermarket off-road gear company ECGS also recommends dino oil in their stuff. They say it is because with conventional oil the metal parts of the (insert assembly here) stay cooler, whereas with Synthetic, the oil itself stays cooler instead.
  13. I bought this one for $41. Showed up 100% brand new and perfect. EDIT: I guess I got the last one too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genie-Aladdin-Connect-Wi-Fi-Smartphone-Garage-Door-Opener-Controller-iPhone-or/133017708021?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 If it comes down to just needing a wireless way into the house, maybe skip the door lock and go with the garage. However if wanting to verify the house is locked up, that is where I could see the locks being handy. At work we use KEVO. It has a hub though. Its cool because with the phone in your pocket you can just touch the deadbolt outside and itll open right up.
  14. It seems like the August ones do have hubs, though they seem to come with the box. x2 on the Aladdin for garage. Just put one in last week and no more worry about leaving the door up at night! Edit - maybe they exist...this Gate lock / camera doesnt appear to need a bridge but its $$$
  15. Same old song and dance. Youll take it in, theyll poke at it and tell you the trans is bad or some other chargeable-to-you garbage. My neighbor had a 2013 with like no miles on it..30 or 40K. I think he had the junk yard haul it away lol
  16. Maybe they werent rare, but 50 years is a long ass time for steel and rubber. They are not getting cheaper.
  17. Seems like something an honest conversation could keep in check, or no? Blatantly showing that you dont trust him is going to help? I know you only asked about the tech question and not how to raise your men, but hey, its CR.
  18. Thats the thing... to most everyone on here the Durango probably only hits point #4. If you are implying it hits all those points then its going to be tough to get suggestions. I get it though....to me this FJ hits all those marks pretty well lol.
  19. Why ditching the concrete? Looks? Performance Issues? I every-now-and-then get clients asking about them. We usually deter them just because they are overly expensive compared to quarts or granite we usually use standard.
