Well, my old beater finally bit the dust. So I'm getting rid of it. 1987 Toyota Corolla Deluxe coupe (essentially a SR5, not a GTS) 80,000mi (yes, only 80k) SOHC 5-speed RWD Newish stereo and speakers. Lots of body rust A/C doesn't work Heat doesn't work Fuel tank leaks above 3/4 full Clutch does not disengage It runs great actually, and is fun to drive. It would make a great first/trainer car if the clutch is fixed. But it just isn't worth it to me to pay someone to fix it. I'll sell it for $300. If noone wants it, I'll find a junkyard to scrap it.

Then don't go see "In the name of the King". All signs point to it being a steaming pile. It's a Uwe Boll film, so it's going to suck to high heaven so his "investors" can scam cash from whatever government they're living under now.

The off-center hub in the steering wheel needs to go. That would annoy the hell out of me. It's made worse by the fact that it resembles the hoods over the gauges. Rather than complimenting each other, they just serve to make each other look worse. Auto FTL. As for the second article, GM removed the camo, and all they got was that ONE shot from the rear that was *provided* to them? What, no camo, no fun? Pictures of the car without camo should be all over the freakin' net right now. I guess Spy Photographers != Photo Journalists. More like cheap papprazzi in it just for the thrill. Take away the thrill and they don't care any more.

Unless you have space issues or need to hang it, get a DLP. You get LCD/Plasma picture quality for a hell of a lot less. 65" 1080p Mitsubishi or Toshiba will run you only $1700 or so.

It's looking like it won't be too bad to fix. Bent the A-arm. Everything else, including the rim and tire are looking fine. When the new arm goes on and the car is aligned, I'll know for sure, but it's looking like I lucked out.

Maybe. But I just moved out here, so I've only been on this insurance for 4 months. I'd rather not have a "history" with them.

Yeah, but what's cheaper? Paying for the repair all at one, or paying the higher premium over time? I'm thinking it'll be cheaper to just pay for the repair.

..or I'd have to shoot it. Took a left from Frantz onto Rings in the snow. I've only been in the area for a few months and I didn't know Rings goes from 2 lanes to 1 immediately at that intersection. THe plows hadn't started yet and snow drifted over and hid the curb. I smacked it hard enough to bust the right front suspension and leave the tire pressed firmly against the back of the wheel well. So since this won't be warranty work, I'd welcome some reccomendations of a good mechanic. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Probably a repost, but it made me laugh.

FWD isn't my thing at all.. However, as FWD cars go, you can certainly do a lot worse. The RSX handles well and Hondas are pretty reliable. They're not hard on the eyes either.
