Thought I would start up a thread for the event this coming weekend. Event is at National Trails, who's going? I haven't autox'd since the June 15th, and I'm getting pretty antsy... Are we going to do the CR PAX class? I don't really want to organize it, but I'd be more than willing to calculate points totals and keep results.

Polarization basically means that light can only pass through in certain directions. I can't say exactly why colors change and whatnot (off the top of my head), but it has to do with the windshield only letting certain wavelengths through, and the same with your glasses, adding up to a purple color. Also, ever noticed what happens when you tilt your head while looking at an lcd screen with polarized lenses on? The LCD also has a polarizer, so when your lenses match the polarizer in the lcd, the screen disappears.

An expensive lens compared to a $20 lens is like night and day difference in clarity and effectiveness. Maybe you don't see it, that doesn't mean it's not true. Using the same analogy as above, some people can't tell the difference between a Ford and a BMW... does that mean the BMW isn't worth more money? TimTaylor - it isn't hard to find a nice pair at sunglass hut for around $100. I also bought a pair of $40 polarized sg's from fossil once, and they were pretty good quality. Oh, you also could check out the sunglass hut outlet store at the Prime Outlets at Jeffersonville.

I have a pair of mid 90's oakley eye jackets that I sent back to oakley because the frame broke right after I bought them. They gave me a brand new pair, and I never wore them afterwards. I'm going through the same thing right now. Found a great deal on a car. I email the guy with a few questions, and ask if he is free the following night. Yeah, Bailey's and coffee is a great after dinner drink. The cement mixer is the same theory as chugging an irish car bomb. Gotta get it down before the bailey's curdles. Difference is, car bombs taste like heaven, cement mixers taste like butt.

Must have been nice getting a running start :bs:. I PAX'd 38th, which is by far my best PAX. I think I'm finally taming my 100hp monster.

Thinning or recieting? My hair is naturally very thin, and unfortunately started running away from my forehead around age 18. If you are thinning, then there are a lot of options... if recieting, just shave it. x2 on the Nioxin. I have used it for a few years now, and before I started shaving my noggin, it really thickened things up. If you really are serious, I believe rogain and the likes are actually pretty good products.

I'd be down for that. We could even award points like a regular solo class, and have a CR PAX winner at the end of the year.
