Twice in high school... 1) Solomon Wilcots (then a cincinnati sports reporter, now national nfl reporter for cbs I think) did a special report on my tennis team (team finished second in state, doubles team won state). 2) Interviewed by the news before our 2002 state championship football game (as a fan, not player)

+1. I believe tax tables are going to be redone (thus withholding tables redone), and we will be getting about $13/week less withheld for the rest of this year... and come next tax season, we will owe $400 less, but it will already be written into the tax tables, it won't be something we have to claim. At least, I think this is the way it will be done.

Truth. I believe there are about 130million taxpayers. If we already filed our taxes for the year, any idea what happens? Do we file a change thing? Or do we apply it next year?

Nice... Purdue Fiji here.

That is definitely BS... sucks to hear, as that is by far my favorite chinese place I have had. Never tried General Tso's though (as was previously mentioned in this thread), maybe I'll try there next time instead.

It will look fine, yeah. Think about it, TV's have been doing 3:2 pulldown since betamax and vhs were dueling it out. 120hz should only be a tiny bit better, not a big deal. Just some things you won't hear at your local best buy... Haha, that sums up avsforum pretty well. There is a 100+ page thread on literally every single audio/video product that has ever hit the market... ever. The only problem is, someone can find some problem with just about everything, so it's hard to find a tv you really want to buy.

the 120hz vs 60hz thing is mostly a sham, although it does have a little merit for dvd's. Here's the best way to look at it... All television (HD, SD, everything) is shot at 30 frames per second. a 60hz tv refreshes the screen 60 times per second. So, for every frame (aka, still picture), the tv refreshes two times. On a 120hz tv, it would refresh 4 times for every still image. This makes no difference. All movies are shot at 24 fps. As you can tell, 60 is not a multiple of 24, so your 60hz tv is left to do some interpolation of this, known as 3:2 pulldown. Since 120 is a multiple of 24, a 120hz tv does not have to interpolate anything to display movies. I've never had a very good back to back comparison, but I don't think the difference is that noticable. If you don't know already, head over to http://www.avsforum.com for all the answers you could want to anything.

For those of us in the dark... details on the rest of the car?

You mean your ipod wasn't made by apple? Wierd (j/k). I'm sure I'm the only person who thinks this... but congrats on not having an ipod. If you want a somewhat cheap route, you can find any head unit with an auxilary input, then just get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable to tether headphone jack to aux in.

I bet Big Joe understands that spending millions of dollars on condoms for poor people will not stimulate the economy. Something that apparently your boy Barry O. doesn't comprehend.

I don't get it. Since when is TV a right given to us by the government? TV is a fucking priveledge. If you don't have the money for cable, or a converter box, or whatever you might need, that is too bad. It is a LUXURY. If you can't afford it, get a better job, or go to college, or just deal with no TV. Just one of the million things the government has its hands on that it should not. Why should my hard earned money be taken by the government to pay for some broke-dick's digital converter box?

Wife Changes Status to Single. Man Kills Wife.
TURBOED replied to Aesthetic_Influx's topic in Dumpster
A few months ago, facebook F'd up and changed my status to single for no reason. It sent my gf an email that literally said "Jerry has ended his relationship with you." Pretty funny to me. She was slightly worried when she got the email. This murder thing would be even funnier if it was just a facebook glitch that changed her status. -
FYI, there was an option on the Mini S to have both the tacho and speedo on the steering wheel, leaving the center stack to hold the oil pressure, coolant temp and I think something else. Great pics, I love the car and the city  And to anyone who says they hate the Mini S, have you driven one? I drive my mom's from time to time, and they are an absolute blast. One of the best "feel" cars I have ever driven. Of course, I also have a miata, so I clearly could care less how I "look" driving a car.

The article says kids with ADD or Dyslexia. Last time I checked, seeing words backwards does not keep you from shooting a basketball. Hell, I bet half the NBA is legally mentally handicapped based solely off of IQ. Doesn't mean they can't run fast and jump high. Oh, and girls basketball = mens basketball under water.

Wheels: Rota Slipstream 4-100, ET40 (or 38, I can't remember), 16x7 Flat black finish Basically brand new. I used them for 1 spring/summer/fall as street/autox wheels. They have a total of about 3k miles and I think 10 autox events. Other than a few cone marks (which will wash right off as soon as I get a chance), they are perfect. No curbing, etc. Tires: Mounted on the wheels are 205/40/16 Falken Azenis 615 tires. Used them for one autox season, as well as about 3k street miles. They started with full tread, and have tons left. The pics below show the tread pretty well. This would make a great summer street setup, or a fairly competitive street tire class autox setup for a miata or Honda. I’m only selling because I am moving to a 15x7.5” wheel for next season. Cheapest I can find the wheels is $510 shipped, and the tires for $380 shipped. That is basically $900 for this set new, plus like $20/wheel for mounting and balancing. I’d like to get $600 for everything. Some pics... http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/IMG_0325.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/IMG_0326.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f122/jjschafe/IMG_0327.jpg And also in my sig below VVVVV

Not field turf. Nearly everyone is going to that these days, it's better than grass, has old tires ground up underneath. Now old astro-turf, that shit is bad for you.

When comparing car sales, you need to compare with the same month of the previous year. I would venture to guess that October is always a down month when compared to May. I'm not saying that all sales are not slumping... you are right. I think Honda was down something like 25% compared to October of 07. Speaking of bailouts, I'm currently drafting a letter to congress proposing a bailout of student loans. Fuck companies that made bad decisions. Think about all the 22-25 year old first time home and car buyers that can't buy because of student debt.

I think they only put imports on that show that they know willl look stupid. It always seems to go something like this: Brett: so, what do you have there? Evo driver: oh, it's a mitsubishi evo XIII, blah blah, big huge turbo, blah blah Panel guy #1: how much power? Evo driver: put down 400 to the wheels Panel guy #2: ever taken it down the strip? Evo driver: first time today Ken: how much boost? Evo driver: 30 psi Ken (after guy gets in car): boy, that's a lot of boost Then, evo driver proceeds to either bog the launch and run a 13.5 at 115mph, or he just breaks. Either way, it allows all the rednecks watching the show to chuckle at how stupid import drivers are. Seems like at any track's tnt, you should be able to find at least one or two respectable imports running respectable times.

I only skimmed what everyone has said, but, if you put a "$" in front of either part of a cell reference, it will keep that static. For instance, $B5 will keep "B" as the column no matter where you drag that cell. B$5 will keep 5 as the row, while $B$5 will keep that exact cell reference anywhere you drag it.

If it isn't raining, who needs tread? It costs $25 to have tirerack shave tires, you've done it for free. Less tread = better contact patch  Also, x2 on the uber weak sidewall of drag radials.
