  1. I can't fully blame GM, most of the Holden front ends do not meet US crash specifications. This front is about 3" shorter than the G8's.
  2. That can be a bit of a pain. Companies like JHP will handle it for you but you pay for it in the end. I had two separate shipments come by boat, as long as you get a broker to handle the paperwork its not bad. A supercharger and gears will put me well over the 15k in performance. Just waiting for the money tree to sprout again.
  3. Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm surprised that nobody has asked, but it does have some performance parts as well: 447/411 at the wheels on a Mustang dyno. All the appearance parts cost about 9k with shipping. Half of the stuff is used and I got really good deals on. Current new pricing is: wheels 4k, fenders 2,600, hood 2,400, front end 3,500, spoiler 1,600. I went back and forth on the spoiler. Its larger than I like but it seems to flow well with the car in person. I only went with it to somewhat complete the package. Its funny how we want what they have, and the opposite goes for them. I bought everything off either ebay.au or from Crazy Paul, who is a sponsor on grrrr8.net . Actually there is a pair of them tucked in there.
  4. Finally got my G8 all together with all the Aussie parts: Hsv Gts 20" wheels, Gts spoiler, Gts fenders, Gts front end, and custom AU hood. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/Darkside/HSV%20GTS/gts.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/Darkside/HSV%20GTS/gtspaside.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/Darkside/HSV%20GTS/gtsfront.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/Darkside/HSV%20GTS/gtss.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/Darkside/HSV%20GTS/g8eng2.jpg
  5. Probably not, I'd bet he'll stay there unless he messes up again. He will get backpay for the time gone minus the 90 days. He is a bit of a PR nightmare that another department won't want. The department probably knew that he would get his job back but fired him to save face with the public. No doubt these guys lost serious judgement and acted like morons, but what was the traffic situation? Other cars around or were they all alone?

    GO BUCKS!!

    Horseshoe up their ass.
  7. You wanna roll race with my daughters vette? Those big wheels are killing the performance right there.
  8. http://www.clevelandracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9850&highlight=front+plate If you guys are bored its fairly amusing. Not sure if you need to be a member or not.
  9. 12's with bolt ons isn't bad for a big boat. I agree that the dash sucks but you forgot the sweet nav system. The funniest part of that picture is the check engine light.
  10. My TBSS giggles at them.
  11. I used the Sherwin Williams kit on my garage and it began to peal after a month or so. It has pealed under where all the tires sit.
  12. This site is the same as Clevelandracing, just much more active.
  13. Scooby and Mickey, 1 1/2 and 1 year old brothers. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/Darkside/Chillin.jpg
  14. Wish you were up in Cleveland. One of my Shepards is a cocky bastard with an attitude.
  15. Looks like some long driveways on that street, unless they have a 12 car family.
  16. Why do people insist on leaving their shit in the street when a bad storm is coming? Its not like there wasn't warning, I wish plowdrivers would run these cars over.
  17. Horrible! I wish the halftime committee could find a band that has had a hit in the last two decades and doesn't receive AARP discounts.
  18. You never hear about Intense on any of the G8 boards. Scott had to perfect his poker face when dealing with all his bad lsd issues. Big Jeff made it well known why he left once the time limit was up on the severance package.
  19. Very nice fox! I have a guy bugging me to buy my 03', if I sell it I'll be harassing you to sell this car.
  20. Those were my exact thoughts when I went with Backyard Buddy. They have a good video on their site showing the difference between some lifts on the market.
  21. Even though I've owned a few Cobras and will always love them, that Camaro is badass!
  22. How old is the dog? If its a younger dog, the crate might be the answer. Although I don't like keeping a dog locked up. We have two dogs, one of which is still young and like to nibble on the couch. He still goes in the crate and we are hoping he grows out of his annoying habits.
  23. Yes, two lifts one in front of the other. They are the extended heighth models, which still allow my Trailblazer to fit underneath. A two post lift would be better for working on the cars but I didn't have enough width in the garage for one.
  24. If you do use a plate from another vehicle to transport and you get stopped, make sure you say that the vehicle the plate belongs to is sold. The way the law is written, the vehicle has to be sold to use its plate for 30 days. I agree about the BS of the taxation. I bought my TBSS new back in 2006. I sold it and later bought it back 2 years later. I again had to pay tax on it. Talk about paying tax on something twice. But I can only blame myself.
