  1. I am doing a lot of the finishing work myself, and with my crew. They KILL you on upgrades. I am doing the entire house in Granite for what they wanted to JUST do the kitchen. I am also finishing the basement for 1/3 of what they wanted to do it.

Sure, it wont have the finishes of my neighbor spending 470k, but I cant tell the difference between Brazilian hardwood, and HD laminate. But, I can tell you going with an HD laminate saved me 15k. 15 freaking thousand dollars!! LOL. I'll keep my 150k in the bank, thanks!

Also I am factoring in the basement being finished which is adding 1400sq foot to the total. (total basement is 1900sq) without the basement we will be in the low 90's sq/ft. Partial stone front, almost 900sq ft garage, no rooms over the garage.

Avon is Top 20 in the state for community/schools/growth/per capital income. Pricey burb, I just know how to work the system :)

Yes. I did my research, was hard in my negotiations, and will take a week off work to do some of the final finishes that will save me a ton of money.

That still seems awfully cheap, but it seems like you're keeping an eye on everything so hopefully it all pans out.

Assuming this is a modular style home? Not exactly "custom" That word seems to be used freely though...

  2. It drives like a brand new car. I preferred it over the 2011+, hence why I made this purchase. And besides an Abrath is one of the nerdiest vehicles I have ever seen. The 535 wagon would be 1000000x classier and mature. Just try to get the maintenance history on it-they have all had HPFPs done. Injectors and coils would be a huge plus. Also about time it may need a intake blast-but you would feel hesitation if it needed it.

Right!!! I didn't even low ball him HE came up with the price LOL. I dropped them off to get 2 used fronts put on and balanced, we will see what happens

All of it. LOL. I just put a car+ on a buddy with a modded e55 AMG. I was shocked I pulled away from him up top. Pully, longtubes, full exhaust (no tune yet). Im sure with a tune we would be dead even or worse for me-he went 12.3@113. No video as my phone dies and I could not turn my go pro on

I might have to drive one. The reliability stories scare me though, but the things are dirt cheap. I don't have co workers, so no need to care about whatever image I'm trying to sell. I wouldn't classify an almost 10 year old car classy anyways.

A comfy TT wagon with the potential to make over 400hp for under 15k is a lot of bang for the buck though..

  3. I didn't realize these things were dirt cheap.

Came across a 535i wagon, with 80k miles for right over 10k........

Would be a much better tow vehicle than my Abarth...

How does yours drive, and handle? I test drove a new 335i M package back when they were new, and loved everything about them until I drove it......

  4. Back when cars didn't weigh the same as light trucks?

Seriously, these companies need to focus on weight reduction. If they need an example, please reference the AR 4C

    Indeed.

Kinda pointless to have a track focused car, when they end up weighing so much.

  5. It's funny, I was at work the other day and had an epiphany about climbing in and out. It just like putting on a helmet. It's awkward and uncomfortable doing it, but once inside it is *relatively* comfortable.

Make sure not to grab the windscreen when getting in and out, you will end up bending the frame.

Easiest way is just sitting on the sill, and sliding in.
