  1. Yep, you will need everything a motorcycle needs.

Here in NC, till last year or so for mopeds you didn't need a plate, insurance, or a license... Cannot believe that insanity lasted till very recently.

  2. Does Shep have a " 7 sec gtr" plate?

I noticed a white GT-R while I was there with Ohio tags with a plate something to that effect. Whomever's car it was they bailed out on the second day, due to failure of some kind. The car put out a ton of smoke on the top end of a pass it made. In fact several GTR's blew up down there in similar fashion, granted all were fairly fast.

The AMS folks going 6's is pretty cool; especially with the fire, and engines'. Is it earth shattering, no, but it shows me they have a solid fan base to say the least. It is fun to see the boundary being crossed over and over. ETS looked as if they might be first but 3 trans' later no dice...

The GTR guys were certainly well prepared with spares, I will give them that lol. Unlike say the Underground Yellow Huracan which flat out was hands down better then the rest, it is the new bench mark.

You know those break a fair amount too, right?

  3. I've been wanting to travel the country this year, using something unique which will add to the adventure. Had my mind set on a Land Rover Defender, and finally found what I thought was the perfect one. Flew out to Texas to check it out, and it ended up being a pile of shit. Every single one for the 30k ish mark, ended up being trash.

Abandoned that idea, and started looking at new adventure style motorcycles. The only issue with that is, my girlfriend hates riding 2up, but I figured she would get used to it. Went to the local dealer to check out some bikes, and we both ended up falling in love with a Ural out of all things. I might be the youngest person to own one of these things... My local dealer didn't have what I wanted in stock, so I purchased one out of state. Finally arrived yesterday, after a month of waiting.

This stupid thing is way too much fun.

  4. I used to have Verizon years ago, then they ditched the unlimited plan so I ditched them. They have the best service by far.

I've had Sprint for the past 5 years or so? It's been improving. I rarely find myself pissed over the service these days.

Data has never been throttled. I use 25+ gigs a month. I refuse to lease a phone, or make payments on a cell phone. That's absurd. They've let me continue with 2 year contracts, although it takes a little fuss. Canada and Mexico are also covered which is nice.

  5. You drove a 64hp kei car that is smaller than an original Mini Cooper 7 hours on the interstate next to giant ass 18 wheelers? You sir have balls that clank.

Beats are really neat cars, I think mugen did a tuner version and had parts for them years ago, no idea what's still available.

Yeah that must have provided some pucker moments!

The beats are super cool, nice score.

  6. My wife and I will have some type of vacation property down south. It is still up in the air where, we have to see where kids end up. If they stay in Ohio after college, Folley Beach, South Carolina will be the vacation home.

I have a place in Folley beach, not my ideal location...

Have you ever been? Much better places to spend time......

Preferably somewhere in the Charleston, SC vicinity. Although I have been researching places in NC as well. I have become very fond of Asheville. There are a few other small towns just north of Charlotte that I've been to in the past that I liked too. One being Cornelius, but it has been about a decade since I was there.

Asheville is great depending on your interests. I spend a weekend there every month. The mountains are great.

All the towns north of Charlotte, that are nice and on Lake Norman have shot up in value over the past 5 years. Here in Davidson, something decent will set you back 400k.... Traffic is also a concern if you need to travel 77 during peak hours, although it's currently being widened, huge growth in this area.....
