  1. Yeah it's one of those manufacturer choices I hate but I understand. Not enough volume sold, not enough percentage would buy manual, and more importantly (as they learned from the Elise) not enough damn space in the footbox for a 3rd AND dead pedal.

The pro is that the dual clutch does a great job with the launch control function.

EDIT: and the one that was at C&C...gray with an aftermarket center exhaust?

The Elise does have a dead pedal.

  2. Dude...I never thought of that...is a targa top a convertible?

I've got mad love for the Venom GT nonetheless. ROFLcopter at over $1MM tag doe. Waiting to pick one up 20 years from now for a song, once everyone's gone electric. ;)

It's a completely useless car, but I want one too.

Couldn't imagine paying that kinda money for one though. Luckily I can't afford it, so no need to worry about that haha.

  3. When I was 17 I had a girlfriend who drove a cocaine white turbo trans am pace car.

Extremely white trash doesn't even begin to cover it. There is only so much feathered hair and .38 special albums a man can take. Not that I was any better with a 1978 T/A SE "Bandit" that was more primer than black paint.

Not my photos, but the exact car.... If this isn't white trash, I don't know what is?!

  4. Bazell got back to me after I followed up.

$344 per 55 gallon barrel. Currently out of stock and they expect to get a shipment in next week... so I guess the price from MAP isn't too shabby.

Yeah the pricing from map isn't too bad, and they will probably help you out a little on shipping.

One of our pumps here in NC tests e98 year round, hidden gem!

  5. Great option, I don’t think I would be happy with the power- and the fit and finish is very GM. For the price-point-its probably the best AWD sedans car on the market. Matt@Sweedish says they are solid, reliable cars but fall short on fit/finish/comfort. Very utilitarian.

Got to take advantage of good ol' BMW depreciation.

Those years the interiors are very GM... Kinda get what you pay for though..

5 series will be the best option for a quality vehicle, but is going to nickel and dime you over the years.

    All give and take.

  6. Ford is killing Subaru in this game.

Its kinda sad. The STi was a car that kinda lit the fire in this category and they didn't have the balls to keep innovating and or listening to the people that actually buy these cars.

If they had, I would have one in my garage right now.

Same with the Evo, after the 9 it went to shit.

  7. Another option that is big enough and done losing money is the 04-06 Cayenne Turbo. 450-500 hp and chipable. You can even get them with a hitch.

With decent miles, they are still 30+k and carry the service bills of a 110+k vehicle...

E60 5 series is a much safer option....

  8. This gig does not pay anywhere near 6 figures...

The wife is all about it, but she does not understand the cost side of things I think.

I'm going to talk to a few more people who are way smarter than me and get their take. One of my family is great at poking holes in things like this and handing out real talk.

If life was easy, everybody would be good at it :)

    There's your answer.
