the thing about all of this is the jury. do you think the jury is going to assume that they weren't racing? i dont. juries work fine in theory, but i doubt anyone goes into the court room with an open mind. the facts dont matter, its all about who can make the jury believe their side, whether its right or not. best of luck to brandon, sure sounds like he's getting a rap that he certainly doesn't deserve(he drive george's car into monica's car/aim the gun and pull the trigger).

i SO need that gas miser! jacking up lame 80's cars to fit gigantic rims under them. evidentally the term only applies to specifc cars(mostly GMs). there are a few other terms that apply to other specifc cars too, but i dont care enough to google it.

Top Gear on YouTube - Diesel/MPG Question
Ry_Trapp01647545522 replied to zeitgeist57's topic in Passing Lane
wrong out the ass. they sold every single liberty CRD they produced, and actually exceeded sales expectations. it was a 2 year run(05/06) because of the rediculous emissions standards it would be required to meet if they continued to produce it(07). the liberty CRD was simply to test the waters, nothing more. in 2007, jeep introduced the grand cherokee CRD with a 3.0l V6, and you can still buy a brand new one now. and, by the huge success of the jetta TDI, i think the US market is perfectly willing to accept diesel powered passenger cars. if the government ever wants to let us have any of course. -
dealerships are hurting bad right now. i just saw the indian mound mazda(previously pontiac/mazda) is closing doors.

2004 Mercury Marauder for 18k or 2006 300C SRT8 for
Ry_Trapp01647545522 replied to Aaron's topic in Passing Lane
lets be honest, the SRT8 is definatly the better car. i would still go with the marauder though, i just love this things! -
this is just a guess, but i would imagine that THIS may have something to do with it...

the glass and the roof panel are the only exterior carry overs from the 05-09 cars, every other body panel has changed.

yea, that dude that tied a rope to a tree, then around his neck, and took off in his jaguar(i think it was) towards an intersection, now THAT is a creative suicide! but this is just stupid.

oh, look at that. another nice and biased "only the japanese..." article. oh, but how the japanese are perfect, they are fortune tellers, make $20k cars, and sell them for $10k, at a profit. the US automaker should just do exactly as they do, infact, they should hire only japanese management, because thats the way to success. nevermind that they are completely backed by the japanese government(how do you think the R&D for the prius was funded?). nevermind that toyota releases a rather large pickup truck with a rather gas guzzling 400hp V8 at the exact time of the truck and SUV market crash. nevermind that the current and future releases from both ford and GM have been garnering heaps of praise. nevermind that both GM and ford were teatering on the brink of a complete turn around until the three punch flurry of gas prices climbing at never before seen rates, the killer economic recession, and available credit evaporating hit all at once. [sarcasm]nope, screw them. even though they have been working on great products and have been making tremendous strides in quality lately, i still believe the rhetoric that the japanese are the only ones that know how to produce good cars. as little sense as that makes, that a specific nationality can produce one thing better than anyone else, even though we are all human beings with completely unique brains.[/sarcasm] chapter 11 ensures that GM will implode, and more than likely bring chrco and fomoco down with it. for GM to live through bankruptcy, it needs cash(credit) to keep producing and selling cars. there is no chance in hell that they will get any credit that isn't federally backed, because why the fuck would anyone lend credit to someone that is in bankruptcy??? without credit, they dont produce cars, which means that they aren't selling cars, concluding with a complete halt in all positive cash flow. and even if they were to get the much needed credit to produce the cars to ensure the much needed positive cash flow to stay afloat during the bankruptcy process, the general public isn't gonna buy these cars. who the hell in their right mind would buy a product that inherently has issues covered by a warranty from a company who is in the bankruptcy process??? if they go under, your screwed as far as warranty work goes. no big deal, take it to a shop and pay for the work to be done or do it your self, right? wrong, GM going under will pull with it hundreds of suppliers, and you will no longer have the parts(or affordable parts atleast) you need to fix your car. knowing this, no one in their right mind should take the risk of buying a vehicle from an auto company in bankruptcy. there are many more reasons to, like michigan and possibly ohio, indiana, quebec, and northern mexico getting severly hurt with the failure of one or all three of the US automakers. read more here(most of these articles unfortunatly have liberalism slathered all over them, which should make some here happy): http://www.cnbc.com/id/27723244 http://www.slate.com/id/2204582/ http://www.portfolio.com/views/blogs/market-movers/2008/11/14/the-right-kind-of-bailout http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html?id=a4893b49-36df-4784-9859-2dfa3a3211bf

definatly true, the mazdaspeed3/6 guys are having a hell of a time getting good performance out of their cars just because no one can tune the damn things.

the 4.6l from the bullitt has been carried over in an attempt to help sell the last of the 09 models. the 2011 mustang will get an all aluminum, DOHC, 5.0l with ~400hp/360lb-ft, backed by a tremek TR6060 6 speed(same trans thats in the vette, viper, CTS-V, camaro, challenger, GT500, etc.). the 4.0l V6 is also set to be replaced by either the 3.5l or 3.7l V6, possibly with direct injection from the start. the 5.0l should get direct injection around 2 to 3 years after release. the 2010 model can be optioned with a dealer installed($$$) ford racing supercharger in either 400 or 500hp, with the factory warranty. in 2011 the GT500 is also set to get a nice performance upgrade, but nothing more than that has been said.

not only that, but these same suppliers also supply many other manufacturers. one company goes down, the supplier goes down, which could potentially bring another company down, which brings down other suppliers, and potentially other companies, etc. sorry, but i dont think its worth that risk just to prove a point. really, why else wouldn't you want them to get a bailout? its to prove a point, and that is it. and im not so convinced that what i just said isn't a possibility like many in here some to be.

New Wheels on the Formula. A little different
Ry_Trapp01647545522 replied to Benner's topic in Pics and Vids
definatly dislike the wagon wheels, they are just too 'beefy'(but im a fan of pencil thin spokes too, so i may be biased). i normally love black wheels, but they just dont look as good on dark non-gray scale colored cars. i certainly wouldn't call it bad looking at all, but not as good as it was. -
it is my opinon that none of you have that good of a musical taste, but thats mostly because my main music is grunge. soundgarden, chains, pilots, and pumpkins all the way! tool still puts out some good stuff(whenever they get around to releasing an album now days of course), the new smashing pumpkins single, G.L.O.W. is straight up awesome, and i really enjoy metallics new album too(but thats coming from an *OMG* black/load/re-load fan). black light burns is an awesome band(limpbizkits former guitar player, wes borland, started it, the really have some innovative and original music). my favorite band, though, is hurt. im sure everyone has heard their first single, rapture, and their first single off their second album, ten ton brick, charted pretty high too. amazing artists, a whole lot of depth in their music and a great style! everyone should give them a listen! my favorite band

Ford's newest SVT product, codenamed 'Raptor'
Ry_Trapp01647545522 replied to Ry_Trapp01647545522's topic in Passing Lane
far far from it! they did majority of the ford GT development, with assistance from saleen and roush. the GT500 is also a 100% SVT product(really, there are badges all over the car, and SVT is referenced many times in the booklet), and the raptor is the latest project they've been working on since then. and, yes, every single news column that said they were dead was completely wrong. this all started because SVT, FRPP, and ford racing all merged under one name, but they are still seperate entities, they just work together some(for instance, the FRPP packs for the GT500 were fully developed by SVT). that merger lead everyone to assume that ford killed SVT. hau thai tang also got promoted to head dude in ford of brazil, which people took as a further sign of its axing. but they never were axed, their development center never moved(in dearborn, connected to a roush building that aids them in development), and there were no major layoffs or anything. SVT being axed was all a rumor started because the ignorant automotive press assumed that this is what happened. -
Video 1 Video 2 Video 3 this is SVT's next product, although no official name as of yet. the suspension is based off of the JDFabrication 4x4 long travel kit(only 4WD LT kit for the 04+ trucks), and comes stock with fox racing piggyback reservoir shocks(seriously, stock!!!), selectable lockers both front and rear, 35" BFG ATs(somehow, they fit a spare under the bed too), flared fenders front and rear, 4.10 gears, fords new 6 speed auto tranny, and the new 6.2l BOSS V8 pushing out 380hp and 420lb-ft! with this suspension system, it has a full foot of front suspension travel, and possibly more in the rear. cant wait to see these things out in the dirt(and sand)!!!

just buy forza motorsport 2. i prefer it to GT5 because of the damage(still a question mark with GT5 as far as i know) and the customization(you can do damn near anything to the cars, 'tis awesome!). the RROD issues are non-existant if you buy one of the new systems. there hasn't been any widespread RROD on any new systems in the past year at all.
