  1. I might be overlooking something obvious and I have certainly set myself up to be real pissed off tomorrow if OSU isn't in the playoffs but I don't see how the committee can put TCU or Baylor in over OSU. After analyzing it with some friends (a Nebraska fan and a Texas A&M fan) for a couple hours after the win the 2 biggest points to me... - OSU didn't play an FCS opponent; TCU and Baylor did (in addition to each of them playing 1-win SMU OOC) - OSU had to face a top 15 opponent at a neutral site in a conference championship game; the Big 12 had no conference championship game and despite its own bylaws stating that head-to-head would determine the champion in the event of a tie the conference submitted both Baylor and TCU as co-champions to the playoff committee in an attempt to maximize their chances of getting at least one of them into the playoffs Coming into this weekend I didn't care at all about the playoff situation. I didn't have a ton of faith in Cardale and the defense's recent performance vs. high caliber RB's wasn't promising going into a game vs. the best RB in the country. But they came out and proved a ton of people wrong and absolutely obliterated Wisconsin. - First ever shutout in a P5 conference title game - Largest point spread upset in college football history (Wisconsin favored by 4 or 4.5 depending on where you looked, lost by 59 for a 63 or 63.5 point difference - previous record was Stanford beating USC by 1 in 2007 when USC was favored by 41 for a difference of 42) One last point on just how much OSU shut down Gordon... Melvin Gordon was on pace to break the NCAA record for yards per carry in a single season (7.8ypc). He was just shy of 8.0ypc for the season coming into this game. OSU held him to 2.9ypc tonight which was actually so bad for him that it dropped his season average down to 7.6ypc. Now I will set my alarm for 12:30, wake up and be angry all day when OSU is left out because of something dumb.

  3. I have no idea what's going to happen tomorrow. And that upsets and scares me. Unless there is a noon game I rarely wake up before 2-3PM on weekends (stay up until 6-7AM). I think I'm going to set my alarm for this dumb shit. Fuck a doodle doo.
  4. Oh man if it's Addazio... https://vine.co/u/959488597608878080 Just go through that whole page when you have some free time. Lotsa dudes.

    Walking Dead

Her death was really dumb and pointless. I'm ashamed of myself for thinking the show was on the upswing after the first 3 episodes were pretty damn good then they go and throw in yet another pointless story arc that wasn't in the comics.
  6. I didn't watch the whole thing but I saw him really air it out a few times. I thought the game was going to be over earlier than it was because Burrow hit #44 twice in the end zone and #44 dropped it both times but Athens was able to convert on 3rd and 9 and eventually scored their final points to take the lead with around 2 minutes left but the game always kinda looked like a game where whoever had the ball last would win. Jurkovic was allegedly going to flip regardless of what happened with Nebraska. Early on people thought he favored OSU but I don't think he had a committable offer so he committed to Nebraska. Once they told him to come in for the Michigan game it was over. Some potentially good news it that Kansas may not have offered Warinner the job... yet. Dude's only done a phone interview if he's done anything at all (I guess someone from OSU said he hasn't interviewed with anyone - all focus on Wisconsin right now). If OSU did lose Warinner one guy to look at right away would be Branden Bowen flipping back to Utah.

  8. This is supposedly a big transitional year for them. Next year they will be offering 100mbps+. I left them earlier this year because they spread themselves too thin buying up all these shit ISP's in the plains and southern states but I can see myself switching to them next year for the 110mbps offering if they get all their stuff figured out.
  9. Announcer said at one point that CC dresses around 100 players. Athens doesn't even dress 50. Hell of a game to make it that close. #3 is going to be real down on himself for a while because of that missed INT.
  10. Pffft... speak for yourself... From page 12 of this thread... Riley isn't a terrible hire at Nebraska. Comparing his records at Oregon State to Pelini's at Nebraska is not going to work. Oregon State is a program that would fall in a tier somewhere between Minnesota/Iowa and Illinois/Northwestern. Think of it this way... throw Boise State into the Pac 10 and see if they put up the records Riley put up at Oregon State. Similar budgets and recruiting capabilities. Now Riley will have top notch facilities and a real budget to work with. The one thing I was surprised with was how old he is. Already 61. And Kyle Dodson is gone from OSU. Haven't read about a transfer or if he's just off the team but been expecting that one since the weekend. Another scholarship open. And Warinner has been offered the Kansas job. Really, really, really hope OSU can hold onto him for a little longer.
  11. That guy is also from Nebraska, used to cover sports for an Omaha news station. Dustin Fox has come out again and said 100% confirmed Tressel is not going to Nebraska. I wouldn't be surprised to find out later that Fox knew Tressel was going there but wanted to keep downplaying it to make the actual announcement matter.
  12. He seemed pretty loose going into the B1G title game last year as well. At least pre-game. He seemed borderline cocky. Then they went out and gave MSU a 17-point head start. I think any looseness would definitely have to do with the 2nd part of your post. Go out and try to put on a show to get a playoff berth with your 3rd string QB. Show the world you're unstoppable no matter who you have to play back there. I haven't had a chance to watch the interviews from yesterday but I read some stuff that seemed to imply that there's going to be a lot of Jalin wildcat? We HAVE to see the jump pass from him on Saturday right?
  13. Definitely need to keep Warinner. Dude is awesome. Not a great recruiter but he gets guys he likes and develops them. And when his guys aren't ready (ie. this year) he does an amazing job with what he has. 2 of OSU's starting OL are basically converted DL. Bollman absolutely screwed OSU over with his last recruiting class but Warinner did what he could with what he had and boom... 11-1, division champs with a shot at the conference title and a playoff berth.
  14. Coaching odds for Michigan... Jim Harbaugh 2/1 Les Miles 5/2 Butch Jones 7/2 Mike Gundy 7/2 Greg Schiano 9/2 FootballScoop said yesterday that basically those top 3 weren't very interested if they were interested at all. But Vegas is going with that. Vegas had Tressel as the leader for the Nebraska job a couple days ago but FootballScoop says that's completely off the table now (really think it's going to be Oregon OC Scott Frost now). If they did get Harbaugh... that would be huge.
  15. This was on Twitter last night... "Committee also told the SEC tonight: If Alabama loses you're going to get shut out. Missouri can't get from No. 16 to No. 4." That would be pretty crazy. I guess it would be the champions from the other 4 conferences if that happened. And it makes sense if you look at the committee's rankings. The perceived underdogs in the other conference title games (Arizona, Wisconsin and GT) are all ahead of Mizzou. So if those 3 won and Bama lost they'd be in along with one of TCU/Baylor.
  16. Saw that on ESPN's bottom line last night as I watched the OSU hoops game. I don't know why it would be bad for Jameis and I don't know how compelled those kids were to say anything. I do know that Darby was part of that hit and run that got swept under the rug a couple months ago so that's neat.
  17. They put OSU at #5 because they were #6 last weekend and a team ahead of them lost. I don't think there was any underlying reason there. Now moving TCU up to #3 and dropping FSU to #4... I think someone said it in here (I blacked out on the last couple pages because of the Boise State talk) but that could have been done to create a buffer. OSU/Baylor/whoever at 5 and beyond have no argument over the #4 team now since they're undefeated.
  18. So this post is at the top of the cfb subreddit right now and it's pretty incredible really. To understand it know that it's a Baylor fan who posted it... Then a Florida State fan chimes in with "If head to head matchups don't matter, then why the hell are we deciding the champion with head to head matchups?" It really is pretty insane that TCU is 3 spots ahead of a team who beat them.
  19. Kill won it UNANIMOUSLY. I'm sorry... that's a fucking joke. Kill did a good job but I didn't realize they actually had the same record last season. Coming into this year OSU was already having to deal with 4 new OL, replacing Urban's first ever 1,000 yard RB, 2 1st round draft picks on defense, your best or second best defensive player being suspended early on for ecstasy, etc., etc. Then 2 weeks before the season they lose their 2-time B1G player of the year and Heisman candidate at QB. And not even 1 vote. Unless OSU has a Marshall plane crash-esque tragedy AND goes undefeated the Buckeye coach will never win.
  20. Going backwards from the end of the Michigan game... Ran the clock out Zeke 44 yd TD run Ran the clock out Pass complete but fumbled Passing TD Jalin Marshall 30 yd TD run FG Passing TD Ran the clock out Cardale fumble (probably a bad pitch by him) Ran the clock out Turnover on downs Ran the clock out Curtis Samuel 3 yd TD run Curtis Samuel 1 yd TD run Brionte Dunn fumble Punt Ran the clock out That's 18 drives... not sure if I counted one twice or whoever came up with that stat missed one or if I fucked something up but there you go.
  21. Why did someone have to bring up Boise State? Now we have to go through all of this again with Josh. For fuck's sake...
  22. No there wasn't. Oklahoma and USC were both undefeated that year.
  23. Because it's a discussion about B1G COY.
  24. Anyone getting their hopes up for Urban to win COY should simmer. It will likely go to Kill. An OSU coach hasn't won it since 1979.
  25. Really hoping we have a flashback to last year's defense vs. Wisconsin where they sold out to stop the run. Yeah, Abbredaris had over 200 yards receiving. He's not there this year. OSU held Gordon to 74 yards and no TD's on 15 carries.
