  1. Big 12 probably won't be around long enough to become the almighty, Saban or not. Now if Saban went to Texas and joined the B1G with Oklahoma as Fox wants... the B1G becomes the new SEC and we get Saban vs. Meyer again and Meyer fakes another heart attack/bangs another co-ed and ends up replacing Sarkisian at USC.
  2. That was fucking hilarious. ONLY IN DA SEC NUMBA 1 CONFRENCE WILL YOU SEE A SOWING MACHEEN ON DA SIDELINES!!!1211112224343 Fuck off CBS. Fuck off, land in a pile of AIDS-infected dicks and die. Also, the alternate jerseys OSU has been wearing since last year's Michigan game are pure awesome. I liked the green stickers more with the home jerseys than I do with the away because the green somewhat overpowers the red accents to the away jersey and it starts to remind me of MSU. Maybe I just don't like them this week because of the MSU game but I don't know. I love the helmets themselves but I wouldn't mind going back to the normal stickers on them.
  3. Just read that this is Braxton's 3rd SI cover and he hasn't lost since his first. So either third time's the charm or Braxton > SI jinx. We find out Saturday night.
  4. And the SI jinx sets its sights on the Buckeyes... http://i.imgur.com/y7OLEmK.jpg Look just above the Nike swoosh on Braxton's jersey and you'll see something neat.

    Walking Dead

When season 4 returns that first episode should be a mix of issues 49/50. Carl leading the walkers was in issue 50. Judging from the other return preview that was shown the show is going to rely heavily on the comics for at least a while. And I couldn't be happier.

    Walking Dead

Going off the comic issues we're still over 40 away from Negan. Doubt we'll see him on TV anytime soon. They took 3 1/2 seasons to get through about 50 issues.
  7. Indeed it is. A Florida fan on reddit yesterday got upset when I threw the Georgia Southern loss at him when he was criticizing Meyer's lack of disciplinary action against the players involved in the fight and dismissed Meyer's overly disciplinary action taken against Hyde to start the season since OSU was only playing Buffalo, SDSU and Cal. I responded by saying it was a good thing OSU wasn't playing Georgia Southern so he threw 41-14 back at me so I pointed out that the devil himself, Urban Meyer, was their coach for that one and it was funny he was using it in the conversation. Then I thought about exactly what you mention. This all started when Urban and his Gators blew out a fat, lazy and complacent OSU team in the desert. If OSU wins on Saturday then Urban has a chance to undo some of what he started and start something new.
  8. Haha... it's understandable. I've actually been tempted to go back and watch the 2006 title game against Florida to see some more Urban stuff but I've done a good job blocking much of that game from my memory so I'm scared.
  9. Also, no further punishment for Hall or Wilson. Both can (and will) play full games on Saturday.
  10. Memory does not serve you correctly. It's very simple to go look at ESPN's website to check rankings for each week going all the way back to 2002. Once Cincy hit 8-0 in 2009 there was never a 1-loss team ahead of them. USC was ahead of Cincy at 6-1 when Cincy was 7-0 then lost a second game and dropped. Cincy was actually ahead of at least 1 other undefeated team all the way from 8-0 to the end of the regular season. There were 5 undefeated teams at the end of the regular season and Cincinnati was 3rd. Even at just 6-0 Cincinnati was ahead of then undefeated Iowa from the B1G.
  11. Just going off what Vegas has to say, they would have FSU and Bama favored over OSU but they actually do have OSU favored against Auburn. It's funny that some ESPN people continue to point out FSU and Bama being favored by x amount of points according to Vegas but you never hear the number for the team everyone is trying to get ahead of OSU right now.
  12. Reading more stuff on reddit especially as it relates to the Harris poll and those people basically being encouraged by ESPN to drop OSU as far as 7th even if they win this weekend has me sweating again...lol. People on reddit reminding everyone of the coaches doing something similar in 2004. Some coaches dropped Cal as far as 8th to ensure they wouldn't get the auto-BCS bid for being in the top 4 allowing Texas to slip into the Rose Bowl instead. Then you think about how dirty the SEC is. Their coaches will do what they will with regards to their votes and hopefully B1G coaches do their best to help OSU if it comes to that. But the Harris voters... I wouldn't be shocked if SEC boosters made not even very secretive payments to Harris voters to sway them because, as Brad Edwards from ESPN keeps telling the Harris voters, there is no Harris poll next year. They have no vote moving forward regardless. Go out with a bang and screw over OSU! It'll be unbelievable if that happens but I'm not going to put it past the SEC to do something to try and maintain a presence in the national title game.
  13. It was so bad a non-OSU fan actually started a thread on reddit last night trying to figure out why OSU fans aren't more pissed at the complete lack of respect ESPN has for OSU and the unbearable bias ESPN has for the SEC. We're just used to it now. We either ignore it or listen, laugh and move on. It's been happening since the Alamo Bowl in 2004. And this article gives you a good starting point as to why... http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2011-07-01/sports/ct-spt-0701-big-ten-nebraska--20110701_1_commissioner-jim-delany-john-wildhack-espn-officials
  14. The absolute worst case scenario for all of humanity is OSU AND FSU losing this weekend. It guarantees an all SEC title game for the 2nd time in 3 years. FSU is like a 30-point favorite but nothing's impossible.
  15. If you wouldn't mind doing some research for your theory, I'd be interested... What are the ties of the people who vote in the Harris poll? http://www.harrisinteractive.com/vault/HI-News-Release-HICFP-Panelists-100313_final.pdf Aside from Lloyd Carr I don't really recognize any B1G-friendly names just from scanning it. But I honestly don't recognize most of the names. Still, OSU is ahead of Auburn in the coaches and IF OSU wins that will remain the same. And OSU is ahead of Auburn in all but one computer poll and IF OSU wins that will likely remain the same as well. So 2/3 isn't 3/3 but it's still safe.
  16. I love this... Lori Schmidt ‏@LoriSchmidt 4m ...Moments after OSU started celebrating Auburn win, Philly Brown stood up & chided, "You guys act like you don't have another game to win." lol... and this... Ben Axelrod ‏@BenAxelrod 20m Ohio State center Corey Linsley on Taylor Lewan’s comment that Ohio State’s not the No. 3 team in the nation: “I guess he was right.”

    Walking Dead

Judith should be dead but she may not be. Wasn't listed in the "in memoriam" section of the Talking Dead last night according to the internet. Someone could have been shot/bleeding and scooped her up as they ran. Hopefully she's just dead. Adds nothing but an unnecessary annoyance to the show.

    Walking Dead

I'd say the "course correction" of the series is now pretty much complete. Some different "groups" out there but the final scene with Rick and Carl leaving the prison last night was straight out of the comic. The "don't look back" line was a little less poignant without Lori and the baby's decimated bodies behind them. They showed a scene from the next episode when the series returns and it is also straight out of the comic. Finally seems like they're getting their shit together.
  19. It's all cyclical. Like you said, Florida was embarrassed in the desert by Nebraska. 10 years later they return the favor to another midwest team. Said midwest team now has their chance at redemption. Under the same head coach that redeemed Florida and kickstarted SEC dominance.
  20. Yeah, I didn't watch because why in the hell would you? But from what I read Palmer and Pollack were going hard in the paint for a 1-loss SEC team to be ahead of OSU. Hopefully OSU wins so we can all lick the SEC-lovers' tears right off their cheeks.
  21. Also, College Gameday will be in Indy. Interesting since ESPN doesn't like the B1G and the game is on Fox but if you think about it it is the most important game of the day. FSU beating Duke is a given so they're in. OSU beats MSU and they're in. SEC title game is a matchup of top 5 teams but whoever wins has to hope OSU loses.
  22. Oh and 2015 4* CB Jamel Dean out of Florida committed to OSU tonight. 2015 should be a pretty beastly class. Meyer and OSU get to max out finally.
  23. Was pretty funny watching the projections all day. Auburn at .92, OSU at .93. Then OSU at .94. Then the actual rankings come out, .95. OSU ahead of Auburn in both human polls as well as all but one computer. Can't see how beating MSU will change that. They just need to do that.
  24. 6 turnovers by Clemson sounds pretty "chaotic." :masturboy: And the thing that bothered me today was the coaches poll. Not one coach had Auburn lower than 4th, 3 coaches had OSU in 5th and 1 had them in 6th. Will be interesting to see who these guys are next week when their votes are made public. Delany needs to rally the B1G coaches to all put OSU first after next week.
  25. Haha... there's a reason I ignored it. You just never know what's going to happen in a rivalry game. As evidenced by today's games. Clemson losing like that just continues to hammer home how weak FSU's schedule was this year. Duke is in the ACC championship game. Props to Cutcliffe and maybe they're actually decent but... seriously? Duke? Duke is representing as one of the top 2 teams in the ACC this season. That's comparable to whenever we end up seeing Purdue in the B1G title game.
