What time to you figure you'll be there, Casey?

Bump Does anyone who is showing a car today at the Zoo have extra tickets for the CR members who have posted on this thread and could use the hookup? If so, please post here or PM them. It promises to be a beautiful day for the show and a walk around the Zoo with the kids. Today, 12-4 p.m. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70788

I will be coming from the north, so most likely a meet-up place would not be on my way. However, do you CR folks want to meet outside the gate and go through together so that the cars can stay together and be parked together? Last year we were spread all over the Zoo, which was okay, but I think it would be easier to be grouped together--easier to watch each other's belongings and all that. I would like to be at the gate around 11:45. Feel free to join me there if you want to park together.

Well, hook up with John earlier on this thread so that he can bring his family for free. I don't think it makes any difference what car I show .... nothing of mine is going to win at an event that's primarily muscle car and classic car. None of my stuff is "show quality." My sister's bringing her restored El Camino, and that's much more along the lines of what the judges would be interested in. I'm bringing the Century just because I think people might be interested in seeing a car that they've never even heard of. And there are a few curious people at every show who really enjoy learning what a car like that is all about. If I ever need a volunteer to drive the Benz, I'll be sure to put you at the end of the line.

Thanks, Cred If someone has some hazards to place and no where good to place them, Blayney Road in Sunbury is owned by RISHI, and I don't think he'll take retaliation, as I plan to hit him hard, too.

Well, looks as though we'll meet at the doors at 9:20 or so, then when Mel & Brian arrive, we'll go in together. 5-6 of us as of now.
-
I won't go in until you arrive. Anyone else?
-
Great! You figure we should get there maybe, 9:20 or so? Meet at the lobby?
-
Well ...... could you guys make it to a 9:40 show? I would be okay to lock that in.
-
It's playing tonight, Friday, October 9th at Carriage Place Cinemark on Bethel Road for two bucks. It appears there may be some takers for the 9:40 show. I've heard it's a great comedy, but didn't have a chance to see it first run. Wanna join us?

I got Scott, daughter, and Jeffro already on my tickets. Post up if you have tix or need tix and PM each other to work out the details.

A number of CR folks are on tight budgets and have families, and I think everyone appreciates that some of the events that the rest of us take for granted are difficult/impossible for you to justify because of the cost....... So don't let this opportunity pass you by. A number of us are going to show our cars this Sunday at the Zoo: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70788 In pre-registration (which is $15), we are asked to enter the names of four people for free Zoo admission (includes car show) for Sunday. We can then print the admission tickets. I'm sure some of us don't have 3 additional guests for the day, and we can hook up with CR members who want to bring their kids to the Zoo and car show. Please post to this thread if you have free tickets to spare or if you and your family would like free tickets to the event. I'm sure between us all we can see that these tickets, which would prolly go to waste otherwise, can end up in the hands of those who would enjoy them. As of right now, I have three free tickets--I just need names to put on them. It's forecast to be a beautiful day ..... why not bring the kids to the Zoo?

Fer goshsakes, Casey, at least clean the crud off your car b4 u bring it out this year .... or at least don't park it near the rest of us ..... sheesh

K. I'll make ya an offer on Polaris Parkway and Industrial Parkway as soon as I get today's rent collected. Thankx!

That Thaiboy is something else. At least one of those other accounts is also one of his. He spends hours and hours building houses just for attack Chance cards. I'm at level 5, worth about 3 billion ..... not sure what it takes to be a level 6. It's pretty frustrating when someone just relentlessly attacks. If there's a game reset, I would vote to make THAIBOY and his attack accounts the official CR hazard target ..... just stay on him constantly from the beginning and keep him from accumulating any assets. He might learn from that ......

I plan to be there and park in the Toyota Century section. I'm just hoping that it's not all Yakuza bosses again.
-
yep, a couple of my favorite roads on there. I have a different set of roads for this trip to get there and back, lots of good sights along the way. Planning/exploring for yourself is half the fun. Sounds like you had a great time. I had lots of other activities planned for Sunday, or else I would have enjoyed tagging along.

You can also get Chance cards for buying streets. I have x2. It's easy math to figure the number of streets you should have. Will the additional daily rent from the street/buildings be greater than 3% of your new (including the additional street's rent) income? If so, then you're ahead by buying the street. Of course, consider the +/- of building additional buildings and having to protect the street. My average for getting Chance cards is about one card for every 10 or so buildings/street purchases. I once built over 30 buildings without a single chance card. Then within 6 additional buildings, I had 3 chance cards, all penalities, amounting to a total of 72 million! The value of the building seems to have no effect on your odds of getting a Chance card. That THAIBOY is quite a case. I hit him hard all day and he hit back equally hard. Like some of you, I got tired of buying streets to build green houses just for additional Chance cards. Finally, I stopped hitting him, took him off my "friends" (spying) list, and he's left me alone. I suspect he gets tired of the fighting too. It seems very hard to take out a player once they are in the hundreds of millions of assets. Even a gang of players with multiple accounts can only hope, at best, to tire him out. Now that I'm at Level 5, worth over a billion dollars, and have a race car as a game piece, there's not much to hold my attention. I'm going to buy up some of my local streets, put ridiculously large and inefficient buildings on them, put schools and parks where they really are in life, and hang around hoping to get introduced to Les Wexner.

Fixed.

I second this motion.
-
Well, he's punching me hard this morning, using his THAIBOY account and also as TEDNUGENT. Make sure you annihilate him this morning.
-
Jeez. I can't believe it. I've bulldozed another park on THAIBOY's National Road. What do you figure is the chance of that happening?
-
Ooops! Oh my. It seems I just bulldozed his park on the National Road. I hope I didn't hurt any squirrels.
-
I just took out his park on Ridgely Tract Road. It's unprotected now.

It looked as though it was going to be good, but it exceeded my expectations. I laughed almost the whole way through. No spoilers here, but a certain guest star helps put the icing on the cake. Take a few friends and have some good laughs.
