  1. This thread needs a little less ricer and H3, and a little more Bentley Fox 28 gauge, krupp steel barrels, receiver in ornamental scroll which is hand inlayed in multi-colored gold, stock is carved exhibition grade marble-caked Turkish walnut. Made by American craftsmen at Connecticut Shotgun. Like a light sabre, "a more elegant weapon, from a more civilized age." http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/gun%20pics/15288-10T.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/gun%20pics/15288-4T.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/gun%20pics/15288-5T.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/gun%20pics/15288-6T.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/gun%20pics/15288-7T.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/gun%20pics/15288-8T.jpg
  2. You're a man after my own heart ..... er, that is to say you can be as heartless as me. Thanks for finishing him off. I got into a small squirmish here locally and can't seem to draw a bulldozer Chance card to save my soul.
  3. you might wanna work on that limitation you've imposed on yourself -- in every moment, life has something to teach you
  4. I suppose the thought of paying attention, contributing to the discussion, thinking about the concepts being covered ....... in other words, accomplishing the goals of education (and getting out of it what you/your parents are paying for it) would be entirely out of the question ...
  5. I suspect that she could get out of the Lotus gracefully, without my enthusiastic offer of assistance :grin2: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/eliseposter2.jpg
  6. And as I hatch a sneaky plot to demolish an opponent, a disturbing thought occurs to me that this treacherous archrival may be some 7 year old who is going to start crying when he or she logs on next and sees what I've done.
  7. I'm still only running the one account, but it was definitely a help when the CR hit squad placed a few hazards on the local bully's streets. By using the "friends" scroll log, I figured out that he was using at least 3 other accounts, and I went after those on my own. It looks as though he's moving out of the game now, or at least went to different accounts and has stayed out of the area I'm operating in. Even with just one account, I'm having a lot of fun with dreaming up strategies and trying to leverage an advantage. Unfortunately, just as I was completing my long street/small house strategy, the loophole closed---a lot like life in that way Has anyone figured a way to estimate rental income on a street before you purchase it? Two streets that I bought at the same time and which have approximately the same cones have completely different rental returns on the same building (10,000 on a green house vs. 15,000 on a green house). Do surrounding developments have any impact on this? It's been disappointing to purchase a long street only to find out as I begin building on it that the rental return on buildings is so poor.
  8. thanks, cred. yesterday I tried to bulldoze a waste facility on one of your streets, but I couldn't bulldoze a hazard belonging to someone else. let me know if you need a favor, I see you are top of the list in this area, and that will put a target on your back for sure.
  9. So .... I've been at this about 3-4 days and I think I have the hang of it. Already some butthead has thrown a hazard on a long street I own. I can see that there is quite an advantage to unofficial (underhanded) "group play" in this game. This is what I propose: If you have a Chance card to bulldoze a building or to construct a hazard, and you were going to discard it anyway (perhaps you don't want to piss off your neighbors), how about hitting my local bully DCERODOS on one of his two streets? If more than two or three players join me in hitting him, there's virtually no chance for retaliation from him. (Is this how street gangs start?) In exchange for the help from you, I'll help you out if you call for a hit on someone bullying you. It would only take a handful of "CR gang" members to operate this way to give a substantial advantage to us all. Multiple accounts would accomplish a similar effect, but I don't think that would be as much fun. Any takers? I'd like to see a few of these bullies go down. :bangbang:
  10. Perhaps a 3" tall speedbump at each entry? Keep out the undesireables, if you know what I mean ........ Just sayin'
  11. that's right, Street Life Tour is almost here. Best of luck with your entry!
  12. Bravo! Well done, chaps. Gets us all out of a sticky wicket, I do say. Cheerio
  13. Thanks for clarifying that, Paul. I had become a little confused, reading all the previous comments which had been in English.
  14. hmmm. that would really be some fantastic mods ...... factory specs for this model were 302 crank horse and 0-60 in 6 secs
  15. Secondhand Lions-I had figured it was some sickening sweet kids movie, and it starred the "I see dead people" child actor I can't stand. Wow. What a great movie. Waterboy-my stupid friends insisted that I see it and that it was the funniest movie ever. I'm not an Adam Sandler fan. I had my mind made up that I wouldn't find any of it funny and that I would hate it. Instead, I laughed nearly the whole movie. I'm sure there are a dozen more that surprised me by being better than I imagined, but those two stand out.
  16. I've never actually stolen any boys/girls. Too much hassle considering you can just rent children so cheaply.
  17. IN. I'd vote to lock it in for 30 cars and start the pre-pay. If you end up with more people actually attending, then use the surplus money to help serve as a buffer for the next track day or possibly reduce the fee for the next track day. I think it's important to have the information in the banner on the homepage well in advance of the event. A number of CR members don't search around in the threads for the next event. Weddings seem to also draw extra people to the track days. We might want to try to set another one of those up for this date. Also, a spitting contest during the lunch break could be fun. Prizes for accuracy, distance, and style. I volunteer Thorne's charcoal briquet for this event.
  18. I will give you advance warning that I'm stopping by..... try not to hit my car with your door, Jonesy
  19. You really need to work on that reaction time, too -- the run against me showed your R/T as .008 You give us "senior drivers" a bad rep
  20. I thought it all went great. Thanks, Tina & Anthony for letting CR share your wedding day.
  21. Had a personal best with 11.597 @ 120.07. 60' was 1.844 Makes me even more impatient about getting a proper tune in it.
  22. I figure the Benz with its bad tune would be a match for the civic .... whaddaya think, Mr. B?
