2013 Tour, last Facebook post in July 2013 ....... Is this something that is supposed to happen in the future?
-
I would be tempted to first at least try one section myself with plenty of spot cleaner (such as Spot Shot) and a good scrubbing, then vac it. I've known cases when soaking the stain wasn't done right and people ended up with mildew in the carpet. The best professional car carpet cleaning I've seen was from Ryan (ForeverMaker). He made car carpets look new.

Columbus Cars and Coffee - Winter meet videos
Doc1647545523 replied to zeitgeist57's topic in Pics and Vids
Very, very well-done. It sets a sincere, welcoming tone that I hope will be attractive to people new to the event and to those who might crossover from .com and are used to a more exotic/exclusive atmosphere at their gatherings. -
Nick, please delete the holiday lights..... they came down after Christmas.

Perhaps they'll switch the server to a dial-up modem so the new site will run faster. I heard that NASA is working with them on an experimental CPU and that might hold up the launch of the new site.

I could see this coming. After his ill-fated attempt to join Columbus Racing, it seemed that things spiraled downwards for PM. Whatever happened to that intro thread where you guys were so mean to him? :gabe: But, I'm happy he decided to rethink his life. I imagine it happened something like this: Best wishes to him in his new adventure with the "...awesome retail startup called Robert Mason Co." I had to look-up that one. Office supplies and vintage men's fragrances. I guess I never felt the need to buy a vintage men's fragrance. I've got a box in the basement with Dad's old kit bag and I think there's likely a half bottle of Aqua Velva still there, in case I'd ever need a "vintage men's fragrance." Reality trumps fiction every time: http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af208/trentrbrts/1460249_655831867773112_939611360_n_zps42d9826e.jpg

Pretty much just the driving games such as Need for Speed, Forza. But thanks for the offer.

We've got a top-notch pro repair man as a member here. Let me see if I can persuade him to chime in on this thread (he doesn't visit regularly).

My 10th or 11th season on the same set of Michelin X-Ice on a FWD car. Used as intended, I don't think you can beat them. I drove from Delaware to Circleville today on them at 4:00 a.m. without the slightest problem despite sections being ice-covered with snow blowing across. I've driven from Portsmouth Ohio to Delaware Ohio in a level 3 snow emergency with them with no issues (have permit to allow me to drive in level 3 conditions). They've made improvements in the tires since I purchased this set and I'll probably replace them next year with X-Ice 3 tires despite there being plenty of tread left on them.

You're welcome. It surprised me how many people came out, even some new faces. I presume you all stayed awake on the drive home at 2 a.m. -- I realized today when I restocked the fridge that we went through half a case of Red Bull!

I'll open at 9 as planned. If no one's around by 10, I'll close. If you plan to arrive after 10, text me so I don't lock you out. 740-405-5565

It'll still be open to catch any who want to come out but didn't post.

He killed the sith lord (the emperor). The Dark Side was a corruption of the Force; without the sith, the Force was in its natural state.

All CR members are welcome!

Who the hell is this guy?'s new Daily Driver
Doc1647545523 replied to Tealsupra's topic in Passing Lane
The car looks perfect just as it is. I wouldn't change a thing. -
Welcome, Doug. Some great vehicles you have there. Any friend of Jordan's is welcome here. +rep

The "Im still talking about D. Wiggs 4 years later" thread
Doc1647545523 replied to D.Wiggs's topic in Dumpster
Very impressive. Just imagine if it were converted to RWD -- it would really fly then. -
I'm back in the saddle again! I'MMM BACK!!!
Doc1647545523 replied to TurboRust's topic in Passing Lane
With all you do to keep the rest of CR rolling, you deserve at the very least to have a kewl toy of your own to play with again. I'm anxious to see what mods you end up doing. Enjoy! -
Even though I admitted above how cheap I became, I feel that all those you named should be tipped. I even leave a note on the hotel bed with a tip for the room service maids. Tipping even modestly has produced over-the-top service at the places I go, but I think it's at least as important to treat those employees with friendliness and respect. Although I'm sure it seems corny and egotistical, I admit I like being called by name when I sit down at a blackjack table or when I enter a hotel lobby and prefer my car be parked either at the entrance or "first out" and in the line of sight of the valets. I'm sure others value other things more, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Bad Dream: The New 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Doc1647545523 replied to My Ws6's topic in Pics and Vids
I can only answer part of the question. I don't know anything about newer Corvettes. Perhaps someone familiar with them can add-on. The Sting Ray or Stingray name was added with the C2 Corvettes (around 1963). Names of fish were in style then (think Barracuda, Marlin, Mako), just as aviation themes had been popular the decade earlier. One of the designers of the C2 Corvette had sponsored a Corvette racecar called the Mitchell Sting Ray a few years earlier, and he influenced the addition of the name. The C2's were the first Corvette coupes, and the rear deck had a very pronounced taper and split rear window. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/1963-corvette-split-window-black_zps8ec6dadb.jpg For 15 years all Corvettes were Stingrays, although of course the styling evolved. Around 1976-77 the name was dropped. I don't recall the term ever being applied to an option package, but someone more familiar with the newer models will have to pick the story up from here. -
I thought I was a good tipper (15-20% for most services) until I read this thread. Now I realize I'm one of those cheap old people who think a quarter is a treasure. Some of it might be due to where I live (small town). I've talked to pizza delivery people here and they really appreciate $2 tips and nearly do gymnastic tricks if I tip $5 on a $18 order (which I've done in bad weather when the order came fast). One told me that they are paid nothing from the added "delivery fee." I think I need to up my game a notch. Not Brian: classic scene!

If you get it finished and have a way of playing it on the big screen at the Hangout, it will be the first order of business tonight.
-
I'd estimate that 20-30% of the drivers I saw were in that weight range, and they seemed to do as well as the smaller drivers.

I've already had people asking, so we'll announce this well in advance. The Hangout: Howald Industrial Park 320 London Road, Suite 101 (in Building 100) Delaware, Ohio It's the first building as you come down the drive--the holiday lights mark the spot. Questions/problems: Text me at 740-405-5565. All CR members are welcome! If you purchased a Columbus Racing shirt from Wagner, this would be a great time to pick it up.
