  1. Thanks Jake & Joe. Information forwarded. I'll let him know if he has questions for you, Jake. That's generous of you to offer.
  2. I was thinking AudiOn19s Andy, but your recommendation is well-taken, Farkas. I knew Kale was expert with these, but I didn't realize he had a business. I'll definitely have my friend check with him. Other thoughts or shops for comparison?
  3. A friend moved to Columbus from the East Coast and is interested in finding a good shop in central Ohio to do some modding of his 2011 135i. He's interested in stiffening the suspension a bit, probably new sway bars, camber plates, installing a LSD, oil cooler, bigger intercooler (probably Evolution Racewerks), improving the intake, perhaps some Dinan tuning. No autocross or drag racing planned, he just wants more spirited performance on the street. He's the sort of guy who really wants it done right, the first time, so I don't want to send him to a place doing this for the first time on this model. Rich, Andy, Anson, Kale, Sean, other BMW illuminati ..... can you weigh-in on this with some advice? Many thanks.
  4. Now, that Spaghetti Harley would have been pretty far down on my list of guesses, based on what you said you were interested in. My last 2-stroke street bike was a 1968 Bridgestone 350 GTR -- certainly one of the world's worst motorcycles. I know you'll have fun on it. I'd love to be there the first time you pull into a group of Harley riders in your cloud of 2-stroke oil smoke, sounding like a Jiffy Pop. Jimmies will be rustled.
  5. Great purchase. Mustangs are one of only a handful of new cars I'd consider owning. I suspect there's a late-model used one in my future at some point.
  6. Prolly heading there around 10, which means I'll be at Blue Ginger around 8:45. Anyone's welcome to join me. Um, on second thought, anyone but Farkas is welcome to join me. I'm trying not to catch the STANCE virus. I didn't get vaccinated for it this year.
  7. Clay, I had hoped this thread would be a test drive & review one. I am disappoint.
  8. Please, Draco, stop posting when you're drunk. The guy asked a legit question, so at least put a little thought into your response before posting it.
  9. I just felt that the adoration for your hideous car had gone on long enough and this thread needed to be euthanized. Now that I've taken a dump in it, I feel my work here is complete.

  11. Sure will, Mike. Plus, when we get closer to the event, I'll post up a "CR-enabled" version which can be printed at home, used at the gate for a discount, and will still generate money for CR.
  12. The forecast for 10 p.m. is for 40 degrees and wind at 3 mph. I don't know that there would be much activity at 9:15 there, but you never know. I am shooting to hit the lot around 10. And, Blue Ginger isn't just sushi. It does Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Korean.
  13. This morning at Cars & Coffee I heard that Sawmill's been pretty busy the last 3 weeks. I thought that the cold temps would still be keeping folks away. I guess I can break out the gloves and ear muffs. Is there any interest in meeting for dinner, then heading over there tonight? I was thinking Sushi and spring rolls at Blue Ginger around 8:30 then hitting Sawmill when we finish. Anyone heading out?
  14. I look forward to seeing the new model. Thanks in advance for bringing it out.
  15. Here's the thread with the intro video (well before the record), and with the Stig Top Gear clip: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113432&highlight=lawnmower
  16. Welcome, Josh. Good intro. + rep

  18. It's pretty late to start generating interest in opening the Hangout tonight. Nick's thread been up all afternoon with little interest. Let me know a few hours in advance if you have four people confirmed to come out and I'll open the place on weekends at least through April.
  19. Yeah, I'm not quite dead yet. I've got the wedding penciled-in for June 13. PM me if she decides to take another offer (like a classic or a sports car ..... I understand that people like different things) and let me know specific times as the date approaches.
  20. Not a unique CR problem: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95340 I've helped out with this before. If interested, let me know the dates and hours. I've even done the chauffeur bit. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/11a.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/9a.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/L1_3_LR.jpg Not sure if these are what your sister had in mind. But, if we can work out the hours, it's free.
  21. Welcome, Yardley. I'll leave it to those more qualified to tell you about Columbus Racing. My one contribution in that department is to observe that it's an eclectic group sharing a grassroots passion for racing and pretty tolerant of all the different flavors of enthusiasts. Rivies are some of my all-time favorite cars, right up there with the Tornado and Eldo. I can think of at least a couple of CR members who own a classic Riviera, and there are plenty who race Buicks. I think you'll enjoy your stay. + rep
  22. Thanks everyone for offering your help. Between posts and PM's, I've got 20 people on the list to drive 4 cars. I've sent a PM to the four CR members who are first in line for each car. This was based on a member's experience transporting the car in the past and the likelihood of them being able to attend the event. (Everyone who responded is someone I would trust to drive the cars.) My experience in the past is that there will be some last minute changes and I might need someone from the list of 16 backup drivers. I'll be communicating with you all a week before the event to see if you still plan to go and if you are still available to drive one of the cars should the need arise. I appreciate your willingness to help. Mods, please lock this thread.
  23. Great purchase! I think E55's look better in pairs, don't you?
