TWC internet only here. Its my only option though. Was $42 dollars several years ago and now its like $68. Next time it goes up Ill call and complain.
I also have a TIVO DVR with OTA service only. I pay $10/month and can record HD OTA like regular cable. I bought the DVR on Amazon for less than $100 new couple years ago.
Everything else I DL from Uploaded.net which I pay about $10-15/month for. I stream them through my Xbox or Roku with tversity. Works VERY well.
As others have mentioned though. Sports is the biggest downfall. No ESPN access. Grr. If TWC/ESPN would have some sort of ale cart option to use ESPN go I would do that.

I really like the 2.5 in my rabbit. Sounds great with a catback.
Plenty of torque.
Mileage is mehh. (Newer cars have better gear ratios to help this)
At 100k now with minimal issues. ( I've owned it since 75k)
Just added a tune from c2 which improved the throttle hang and improved the mileage a bit.
I'd like a tdi, just couldn't justify the price premium. Especially now that this thing is paid for.

We have wheels straightened on a very regular basis by Alloy Wheel Repair. Not aware of any issues to date. Now they cant straighten all wheels, depending on damage/location. We typically charge $130-150 for a repair.

We are not going through insurance....yet. Have a $500 deductible, so I'm going to see what they come back with. I'm having trouble following what you're saying.....? ^^ (What dealership do you work at?)
I work at Kelly. We've met/spoke a few times.
Im just saying typically if we cant physically see what is bent we try and cover our bases with whatever parts will fix it the first time.
For example if its a front end curb hit. We might price,
-strut
-strut top
-knuckle
-lower control arms
-check wheel
-outer tie rods (sometimes even a steering rack)
-alignment
This makes the job a one and done vs doing one part at a time and then an alignment each time you add an additional part. Hope that makes sense.
-
If the car was brought to our dealership we would sell the majority of the front suspension to insurance. Especially if you can't see what's bent. Ends up saving time and money because you are only r&r'ing parts once and only doing one alignment. I would think most shops would do this knowing you are going through insurance.

gf slid her rsx off the road a couple weeks ago into a small ditch. slit the rr tire and bent the suspension. Didn't realize it until she said the steering was off.
I spent an hour trying to figure out what was bent, never found it. Ended up buying the whole knuckle and rear arm used for $110 shipped on ebay. Swapped it all out. Good as new.
Hopefully nothing bend but I for see it needing something.

Fair amount of misinformation in this thread.
My N54 335i is on its 4th high pressure fuel pump, and that went at ~86k miles. Also second set of turbo chargers, 2nd set of oil filter housing gaskets, and 3rd water pump. Simply put, these are enthusiasts' cars. That's to say they aren't reliable vehicles. Fantastic vehicle tho. I love it to death.
I should have stated at this point most hpfp issues are fixed. Not to say many cars didn't see more than one pump.
But in general you would not be the norm. We do have cars like that but they are the hardest driven, non stock, fairly high mileage cars. We've probably done 6-10 singles/sets of N54 turbos since the car was released out of thousands of cars we've serviced.

IMO I'd avoid the new chassis. I'm not sold on the new auto start/stop...as my boss who owns a F10 528i had to replace spark plugs at 20k.
The E9x and E82 N54/N55 engines (335 and 135) are prone to HPFP failures, failed injectors, and require walnut blasting from what it seems around 50k miles.
I currently drive a E82 128i, manual transmission and M sport package. Nothing else. Going to tick over 10k miles this weekend (bought it with 4200 miles in April) and the car has been absolutely awesome. Obviously this doesn't hold much merit. But my dad has a E92 328xi going 70k strong and my mom's X3 (also a N52 engine) is ticking 64k IIRC, all with no problems and both with regular service items.
Recap: Go with older gen 3 series with NA engine. They are tanks
BMW will pay for a program to turn the auto start/stop feature off.
The N20/N26 spark plug interval is a paid maintenance. But yes Im not sure why its so soon on these motors. They don't sound that great. Though my buddy did a muffler delete on his and it has a nice "brap" when using the 8 speed auto.
The hpfp, injector thing is over blown imo. We (my dealer) does maybe 1 fuel pump a month and less than that with injectors. I think the new pumps and injectors have solved most all issues. I will say they will all need walnut blasting at some point though. at least N54's. (50k is a little premature though)
As far as the F30 chassis goes... I like the looks, the interiors and creature comforts are nice but even with m sport they ride like boats. But they get great economy with the 4 cylinders. Even more so with the new diesel.
Ive been around BMW's for almost 10 years and no way would I consider owning one (current F cars) outside of one with at least CPO coverage. Too many things that can crop up. Its not your old honda/toyota.

you could use rapidmoviez.com
I have a paid uploaded.net account to download from there but you should be able to use the free version of that or extabit to download it.

You'll want someone that can match off of a tint card vs. someone that is just going to paint it just off the paint code. Achbach definitely does this, not sure who else.

Applied 22PLE on the BRZ about 2 months ago. Impressed so far. Im just an amateur but it applied easily imo and looks great. Super easy to clean the car up. Far better than a few of the normal sealers Ive tried in the past. I bought the wheel sealer and it does a great job also.

That racecar driver mod.

Bought my BRZ from Justin on Saturday. Good dude. I told him upfront what I was looking for price wise on the car and trade it. He got within 95% of it on the first offer and I took it. Easy peazy.

I think your gonna need 2 blowers to lose grip with those tires.

Ordered an M8 Thursday. (mostly out of boredom) Found a coupon code and got it for $150 through VZW. Figure I have 2 weeks to hate on it and send it back if it sucks or its too big.
Though Im curious if they even have my order. It error'd out on the "confirm" screen but I still got two emails afterwards confirming. But its been processing for 2 days. Customer "service" couldn't even tell me if it was actually in process. LOL verizon..
