  1. A 10 year old BMW that is selling for 15% of its original value probably probably isn't the bargain people tend to think it is. They tend to all need timing cover gaskets and coolant pipes/orings (30+hours labor) Many are starting to smoke at idle. Either needs upgraded valve covers and or secondary air cleanings/valve stem seals. They all have trans leaks that require gaskets or pan replacements. This is just stuff of the top of my head.

My $.02 is a guy looking to spend $15k on a car isn't typically looking to spend the kind of money these cars require to stay maintained.

  2. all these suggestions are great if you hate veggies.

I NEVER ate veggies as a kid. But have forced myself into it within the past couple years (30 now) with the help of the g/f.

Steam and or grill them. use ranch to get the initial gross factor down on cold veggies. you'll come around.

There might be a few that you disgust. for me its pickles.

Asparagus is great. though I will say the last couple times I used the skillet it came out chewy.... undercooked?

  3. I had dtv for 10 years with basically no complaints. I dropped it last year as I couldn't justify the price when stacked with my isp bill. basically just watching ota shows (via tivo recorder) and server sites (i.e. rapidshare) for movies and premium shows.
  4. That sucks, I wondered why I hadn't seen you out there. Quite a few of my friends have been having issues with breaking studs while on the track lately and have just gone back to wheel bolts to avoid the frustration. Not sure if stresses are different on the studs or there's a much more limited life, but thats a crappy situation.

Yeah, big disappointment for me. had been looking forward to it for months. I think i know what happened though. Some time ago i had the centering rings in backwards. i don't think the wheel sat flush. When i took the other studs out a couple of them were lightly bent. I'm gonna replace all the rear wheel studs and keep an eye on them. Fail on me

  5. Fair enough. :)

Since you didn't quote Tito in your post and I didn't hear him say it I was led to believe you thought Forrest couldn't hit. Also, if it comes from Titos mouth it's trash talk. lol. He felt a few pitter-patters and is feeling them today. I promise you that.

agreed and agreed... I just want him to finish fights. He used to submit guys now he just lets the judges make the call.

  6. You have to have made an intelligent case before you can put one to rest.

Dumbest thing I've ever heard anyone say about MMA. Take just one of his "pitter-patter" hits. I'd love to see the results.

hey I was drinking and it was late.

since when do we compare what other fighters say to what I would think if I entered the ring? Im just repeating what Tito says about him and the fact that forrest doesn't finish fights as of late but still has a super high punch count. thats all.

  7. At 1st it looked like an illegal knee, but replays showed it went to the body...but that still doesn't explain why the ref was letting Silva hold on for dear life to sonnen's shorts. Oh well. I was hoping for a different outcome on both fights. Anyone feel the Tito/Forrest fight was scored incorrectly?

I thought it was correct. Other than as Tito mentioned Forest didn't really do much damage. His punches are pitter-patter, which score points but that's about it. you have to finish the fight if you don't like how judging is done.
