  1. We had a teacher get an offer she couldn't refuse. She is taking the job effective immediately, which leaves an opening until the end of the year. This is the email sent around by the director who is over this position. Hello! Happy Spring 2018! I am in search for a long term IT substitute at our premier Dublin IT Academy that is housed at Dublin Scioto High School and delivered by Tolles. I will need a person April 16-May 25, 2018. Work day is 7:25a.m.-2:55p.m. Monday through Friday. The pay will be $100 per day. Candidate does not need a teaching license, just a degree. Candidate will need to secure a Substitute Teaching License (negative drug test and negative background check) through the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio. I am the contact person and administrator over the program. The ideal person will have extensive knowledge in programming: HTML, Python, JAVA, Javascript, SQL, Agile Project Management. However, any component of those languages and/or IT would certainly be considered. Please either share interested folks’ contact information with me or give them my contact information (CStrebe@tollestech.com or 740.506.0864). As always, thanks for all of your support and collaboration! Let me know if you have any questions! Connie This class is comprised of mostly top notch kids. I was in the classroom once and was very impressed by the kids and their capabilities. It is a short term gig, but there is the chance that the person could move into the position permanently next year. Sometimes that happens, sometimes it doesn't, but that person would be given some preferential treatment in the interview process if their performance was good. They understand they are not going to find the person with those qualifications, so if your even close and you're interested please apply. Honestly anyone with those qualifications probably already has a good job and certainly not going to walk away from it for a 6 week gig making $100/day. Something tells me the person they find to fill this position for the rest of the year won't even be close to those qualifications. Do you have a college degree? Can you pass a background check? Do you know anything about programming? You have a decent chance of getting the job. PM me any questions you have, or I will try and answer any questions here.
  2. That's something that people have been bitching about cable for years. They don't mind paying for channels they want, they don't want to pay for channels they don't watch. We're starting to see that happen with streaming services. I was initially a no to paying for MT, but then in the video when they mentioned $3/month or $25/year that did catch my interest. I assumed they were going to be $5 or $10/month (most streaming channels I see are in that range). At that price point I'm not interested, but $25/year? It's disappointing to hear that there are commercials every 5 minutes. Don't get me wrong, I've okay with the idea of free content that's paid for with advertising. For the most part I've never known anything different. I've been watching TV for years and watching commercials that paid for what I was seeing. Every 5 minutes though seems like a really good way to break the momentum of a show. It's probably smart on their part as I assume it's just one commercial and then back to the show. The large commercial breaks on TV are probably less productive as people go grab another beer or hit the bathroom during an extended break and don't watch the advertising. On a side note. I noticed they also brought in Street Outlaws from Discovery on the MT channel. Does anyone know what other content is there? If there are enough offerings I might give it a try myself. I've spent $25 on dumber shit. I am trying to avoid going back to pay services beyond what I'm already doing. If I'm not careful I'll end up with a bunch of little bills that add up to the cable bill I got rid of years ago.
  3. I know it lacks a little authenticity, but if you're just looking to study for the CCNA you can use Packet Tracer for free. It's open to the public for anyone to use now. Other than that I'm not much help.
  4. Do they still re-leather as well? My dad had 2 pairs of redwings, neither pair of them had any part of the original boots that he purchased. When the soles wore out he sent them in to resole, when the leather wore out he sent them in to re-leather, etc... I know the factory second boots I have bought (1/2 price I mentioned previously) I know do not come with the factory warranty. I'm not sure what the factory warranty looks like these days though.
  5. There is a shop between Logan and Lancaster that sells factory second Redwings. I don't think it's the official outlet store, but they have a shit ton of boots. It's in the fleemarket strip "mall" on 33 at Rockbridge. They don't always have every style, color, etc... Anyhow, they are roughly 1/2 price for new boots that most likely have a nick in the leather or some other cosmetic flaw. It's been a while since I've been in there, but the last time I went it was worth the trip. http://www.hockinghillsmarket.com/biz.html#prettyPhoto It's the "Boot shop outlet" 740-385-2728
  6. Regardless if you end up recovering the data, you can't trust that card anymore. They are cheap, if it's worth saving, isn't it worth a decent card?
  7. I haven't played an RTS in years. I suppose I probably predate a lot of people in this thread. I started with DuneII and played through multiple times using all three factions, warcraft 1 and 2, Command & conquer, Red Alert, Dark Reign, Dungeon Keeper, Caesar 3, Starcraft, Crusader, ... I was so amazed at the gameplay in comparison to Civilization (which I played far too much of as well). I remember the original Age of Empires, but it wasn't the most memorable of the RTS games I played.
  8. Subscribed. I've been with Celina for years, but they pushed out my agent (she was independent). She doesn't have anything that can beat them that she sells, but I feel no loyalty to them, so I'm open to changing things up.
  9. Only shop I would recommend is Grady's. He's down around Grove City. Not in your area I understand, but not too far. How far is it worth traveling for quality work?
  10. Hutch is built and the press is mounted to it. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1011&pictureid=8977 I took all the 9mm brass that came with the gear and started playing. 300+ shells deprimed, cleaned, and now sized. The depriming went okay, but the sizing was a little more force. I though I was going to get away with not having to bolt the hutch to the toolbox. I thought wrong. It wasn't terrible, but I found myself having to push down on the base of the hutch while I pulled up on the arm of the press more than a few times. It's been interesting, I'm looking forward to learning more about the process and the results.
  11. Cool! I've been looking for a single shop stool. PM'd
  12. Looking forward to it. Need something new like this to watch since we cancelled cable. I was always a big fan of junkyard wars, this seems like it will capture the same part of my imagination.
  13. Optics are ordered. Spent more time than anything lately getting set up to reload. I'm fully stocked up on supplies. Debating on whether or not to grab an auto feed/weigh digital system. I can't imagine it will be long till I get tired of manually weighing each charge. I also picked up a Viper 5 drawer toolbox that I plan to mount a hutch on top as my reloading bench. It's not big, but it is heavier than most of the competition. Biggest problem other than being banged up a bit was the dude was a smoker and used it as an ashtray apparently. I threw away the drawer liners and washed the box. It smelled absolutely disgusting. Once I have the hutch in place I'll post up some pics.
  14. I enjoyed it. I haven't watched Altered Carbon yet, but will soon.
  15. My kitchen is laid out so that side is visible. Still not a deal breaker since we are planning a remodel and I'm going to move everything around. I'll move this to PMs.
  16. Interested. Is that damage on the left side? Or is it just a reflection of something?
  17. I really do love drag racing, but my cost per minute of race time has gone through the roof. While I wouldn't have it any other way, it's a little disheartening to think what I spend on a track day between gas in the truck and gas in the racecar, time, etc... I might get a full minute (if I include the shutdown) of racing. It's still the biggest rush I've ever had with my clothes on, but I can see the appeal of road racing and getting major seat time for your investment.
  18. Maybe leverage some of the skills you already have. Become an A&P mechanic, make more money and make connections in the industry. Trade labor for training hours. You hate the dealerships anyhow, maybe working at an airport would be better.
  19. I've had a few, but I've never done much with them. You can get them at Microcenter, setting them up is easy. Just you and your imagination to decide what to make it do.
  20. I think we're going to meet up this weekend. Once I have everything and inventory it all, I'll let you know what dies there are and which ones I'm not interested in.
  21. Again with the subframe connectors. In fact I would UMI the underside of the car. Rear end gears will wake it up without an effect on emissions. It'll me more fun stoplight to stoplight. I am assuming an LS1 car, not a V6. Wheels and tires, 275 up front 315 in the rear. Centrifugal blower (smallish) since emissions are an issue. If you can't have the cam lope, then how about the blower whine?
  22. I was planning on swapping out the head unit in my 05 Avalanche for a touch screen unit so I can run a backup camera. The stereo works flawlessly is why I haven't gotten around to it. You're welcome to mine if you haven't found something by the time I get mine done.
  23. Yeah, I will be spending a chunk on rings. I get that lapping them in is probably a little over kill. My goal is to push this rifle past it's practical range. At some point I will try and hit a target at a mile with this rifle. I realize this is the wrong tool for that job, but right now it's the tool I can afford. Any little thing I can do that will make it even just a little more accurate past 1200 yards. Maybe it's only in my head. Since I don't have the optics yet, and I can't even order them until Feb 1, I'm trying to sort out a reloading setup. The sooner I get up and running loading my own the sooner it pays for itself, and the sooner I get some custom load data for this rifle worked out. I should probably just bite the bullet and get the tools. If I ever change the rail, or get another rifle I'll want to do this all over again.
