  1. You guys tired of me yet?

Welp, got the rest of the router table put together. All in all, pretty happy with the way things came out. Its heavier than fuck, so i am going to need to make some sort of rolling base for it. Or handles at the very minimum.

Side note. I picked up one of those link belts for the table saw from HF yesterday. WOW. smooth as silk. Even a new rubber belt from autozone wasnt as smooth as this thing. Might do a review on it just because i'm so impressed with it.

  2. Less than a month old. Used it to build a simple wine rack and half of a router table. Still have the box and all accessories that came with it. I will do my best to clean the sawdust off of it before pickup. The stand comes off so you could easily fit this into your car. My loss is your gain.

This is a hobbyist saw, not a contractor grade saw. If you are looking to rebuild your entire house, this is probably not for you and you should buy a dewalt or something similar.

Asking 90 tax free dollars picked up in Delaware or waldo.

  3. For a simple little table that looks great. You might consider using something like this attached to your fence for dust collection.

If you do, I'd wire in an external outlet to plug in a shop vac. That way when you hit the switch to turn on the router it will turn on the shop vac at the same time.

Yeah i definitely need to get dust collection under control. At this time i have zero.

Side note, any where locally to get a link belt? I replaced the stretched belt that came with my saw but the new one was out of round too. Just enough to be annoying.

  4. Made some headway on the router table this evening. I would have liked to have finished it but I spent a good deal of time assembling and tuning the new table saw. That thing is a beast compared to my rockwell.

Today while at restore I found a large sheet of double sided 3/4 la minted particular board for $5. Couldn't pass it up and made a top out of it. Also used it to make the face of the fence which I hope to complete tomorrow.

The plan for tomorrow is to get the fence installed then run the electricals. I am going to put one of those single switch / outlet combos to turn it on and off. The router has a button lock so I don't have to worry about using a ziptie, which is nice. Maybe try to find a trim strip or something to put around the edge to cover up my shit ty cuts. Any ideas?

  5. Made some progress on the router table. Got all the pieces cut and started assembly. I did find a few mistakes in the plan that left me scratching my head for a few minutes.

  6. No router, no table saw, etc etc

Ah, thought those were considered remodel tools

If you can wait a few days, ill build one for you. Started a router table last night that is taking up a good portion of my "shop*"

*Shop is defined as a corner of the basement with tarps hanging from the ceiling to keep the dust in. lol.

  7. The issue with chairs is they are fairly labor intensive. You'd be much better off finding one done and then modifying it to the size you need. Unless you want a 2x4 frame with a flat plywood seat..

I think the design i posted above could be done for less than $15 bucks (pine) and a few hours of work. I don't mind the labor part as i find it to be somewhat therapeutic.

  8. Anyone know if 84 lumber will sell in small quantities or if i need to buy in bulk? I am really just looking for a single sheet of 5' X 5' X 1/2" baltic birch plywood. Menards and lowes doesnt seem to have it on their website.
  9. I actually didn't use my planer on that table. I used my jointer on the 2x6s and then glued them together. I would have used my planer for some of it, but I didn't have it yet. I have the Dewalt 735. It can do up to 13" wide boards.

Hand plane then? Or just stuck them together and sanded it?
