  1. Any local shops with a dyno that can tune with Neptune?
  2. Thanks, just ordered one from there.
  3. One of the lines to my oil cooler sprung a leak and I didn't catch it until I heard rod knock. Started to pull it apart tonight and the bearings don't look good. Personally I wouldn't trust the crank without a machine shop checking it. One of the rods is mostly like bad (badly discolored, lots of play), but I haven't pulled the end caps off yet to verify the damage. Specs: 99 GSR block bored to 82mm Wiseco 12.5:1 pistons (I forget the dome CCs) forged rods (Iforget the brand, they're thick) B16A head (OBD-0) with very mild P&P older skunk2 stage2 cams complete skunk2 valvetrain, stock sized valves skunk2 adjustable cam gears Precision 400cc injectors GE head gasket newer timing belt, water pump, etc. valve cover is powder coated wrinkle blue stock P30 intake manifold port matched for a 64mm TB plastic IM gasket distributor can probably come with no brackets for A/C or power steering Motor has about 5000 miles on it, head has about 15k Motor made 228whp on a loaded dyno. It's a strong combo, but I'm sick of dealing with this car and I just want something reliable that I can take to the track and spend more time with my family. Things I'll be stripping off it: oil pan throttle body alternator clutch and flywheel crank pulley header oil filler cap wiring harness fuel rail (can provide a stock rail if needed) intermediate shaft Basically, you get a complete b16 head with some good bits in it and a GSR block that you may be able to salvage or that you can part out. The pistons are good at least. I'm willing to part out, but I'm posting this up as a complete package first in case anyone wants to come grab it when I take it out of the car. I'm sure I'll end up parting it out anyway. $2000 OBO
  4. Not looking for a project, low miles and untouched would be ideal. Just need something to move my car around while I rebuild.
  5. Holy crap, $70+? 3-year-olds don't know what they want, they ask for everything and it's your job to tell them no and drag them to the stride rite outlet.
  6. I palace fronted into the reserves just to keep my Tricare. For all of its problems, there's no better deal out there.
  7. So you're saying the only thing keeping people from getting 10 MRIs a day is that the sort of people who would do that sort of thing don't have insurance? What would happen if Pete happened to get a job with benefits? Would he then instantly become responsible enough not to get all kinds of unnecessary work done?
  8. How does that not happen now? People have insurance that pays for almost all medical costs. Why, you could just go nuts! Insurance will pay! I'll take 8 new hearts please, send the bill to Kaiser!
  9. And the insurance companies, right? Or did you not want the doctors to get paid?
  10. That's cool, and I agree with you 100%. There are plenty of valid complaints about this bill. I just can't stand when people feel the need to spread bullshit. Politics has become a game of "throw as many talking points at a wall and see how many stick." And the shit that sticks is garbage like death panels and "Obama is gonna decide if you get your surgery." I just want an honest debate.
  11. Not to be confused with Fox's pundits and commentators, Fox News is a semi-reputable conservative organization that balances out MSNBC's lefty news coverage. I find it's helpful to follow both Fox and CNN.
  12. I understand all of it. Not sure what I'm missing.
  13. No doubt. There's a difference between a surgeon having his bottom line affected by this bill and "Obama will get to decide whether or not you get your ACL surgery." If the pundits, talking heads, and loudmouths were out there talking about how bad this bill will be for doctors, I wouldn't have much input. But the shit that's being said is way out of line and is very far removed from "it affects my livelihood." In fact, what it sounds like is that you have a vested interest in people hating this bill, and you're using exaggeration, speculation, and other deceitful statements to drum up support for your side.
  14. All I know is what Fox News is telling me about it. I figure if anyone is going to find anything super alarming in there, it's them. Fortunately, I'm somewhat immune to fear-mongering.
  15. So you're saying it's fair to say that this bill will implement a quota system like Canada because we don't know how it will work out in practice? Even though the bill mentions nothing about quotas, can't possibly implement quotas (without a single payer system), and has nothing to do with Canada? Hashing out some details once this thing goes live is one thing, using that tiny bit of uncertainty to claim that Obama is going to tell me I can't have my ACL fixed is another. It's completely disingenuous.
  16. Psst, the bill passed. If you're wondering what's in it, go look. No reason to speculate anymore.
  17. So when you said, "that's what's coming here," you were lying? Exaggerating? Speculating? Whatever you want to call it, it's not helping.
  18. I see. And is there anything in the new health care bill about quotas?
  19. So this guy here who's saying that his insurance company was trying to avoid paying for his ACL surgery is lying?
  20. Aren't you going to be able to keep your own insurance? Won't it not matter what "Obama" says about knee surgery as long as you don't have insurance through the government?
  21. Don't insurance companies ALREADY make judgement calls about if they'll pay for certain surgeries that aren't necessary for survival? Aren't there lots of people RIGHT NOW hobbling around because their insurance company told them to get bent?
  22. Obama is going to be making judgement calls on knee surgery?!?!? Isn't he, like, really busy?
  23. The SAE won't give out the certification if you're underrating it. Either Ford's managed a 3% drivetrain loss, or Dynojets are garbage. And the answer is that Dynojets are garbage.
  24. I wanted to add, I know anything I say is meaningless. The damage has been done -- conservatives have worked so hard to hate this bill with all their might that they'll never change their minds. The negative opinion gets reinforced at every turn. Likewise, democrats are humping themselves silly over this team, slapping each other on the back and stroking each others' dicks. Same sort of reinforcement. Once this bill goes into effect, republicans will point to every single problem with health care in America and blame it on this bill, and democrats will point to every single problem with health care in America and blame it on republicans standing in the way of a better bill. Progress will never happen because anyone with a political axe to grind is retarded. Read this: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/25/opinion/25nyhan.html?sudsredirect=true It's been scientifically proven that humans are too retarded for politics.
