  1. Absolutely awesome, the detail is phenomenal. Keep up the good work!
  2. My girlfriend did mine, free labor FTW. She bought the supplies, I think she spent right around $40. She bought the good like $10 a can 3M headliner adhesive and some squeeze type 3M adhesive to get a solid gluing on the back of the board where the fabric wraps around. It turned out pretty good for a first try, lucky for her I've got two other fieros and a jetta that need headliners so lots of practice is in store.
  3. That's a shame, looked like it used to be a pretty nice car.
  4. Out of curiosity what does the main dealer expect to get for a brand new shortblock? +8 on looking further into it before you throw a motor at it.
  5. The only save is that we all own them as second or third cars.
  6. Single out the side, duals are for gassers.
  7. Breather tube for my OM603 Diesel Mercedes OE from Autohausaz - $26.97 Ebay used breather tube - $29.99 Mercedes OE from Mercedes Benz of Cincinnati - $19.80 European car aren't as scary as people like to think they are, whatever it prevents people from buying cheap european cars. They turn down cars because they're too expensive to work on... whatever works for us. I agree with doc the type 72 is a better, simpler car. Just something cool about the old turbo straight 4s from mid 90s.
  8. Agreed on the S4 Esprits being better than the V8. Its a 7 year old car, look at mercedes S-classes, BMW 7s, everything looses massive amounts of its value in that time. I have looked at esprits several times, I would consider one when I have the money. Kind of like a good fiero, that or an NSX. Personally I like the lotus better. Why are people worried about parts? MAG is a lotus dealer and lotus is still in business. The esprit was in production for over 30 years. There are clubs, aftermarket, reproductions, etc. Parts would be the least of my worries. People like to be scared on parts for european cars, I bought a 23 year old Benz, and a diesel at that. I have no issues getting parts and even paying main dealer prices isn't bad.
  9. Maybe people just like it because it produces something impressive looking, taking your mind off the fact it is actually doing nothing to your motor. +1 on correct use.
  10. I got this text last night "KFC has a new bacon sandwich with fried chicken instead of bread, I just had one and feel terrible" followed by "It was fucking delicious and it is that good kind of sick feeling but I'm overwhelmed by the shame of having consumed such a thing" So I'll be trying one in the near future.
  11. There's about to be a CR Mk2 club haha.
  12. I guess it is a preference thing, I don't deny they are an absolutely blast to drive and great value for money I just got out very uncomfortable. That is my opinion, and not based on top gear or c.net reviews I drove the car for about 10-12 hours over 2 days and that is my review. Edit to add, it was a Z51 car.
  13. I was about to go look at those caddys but don't want to deal with rust, thanks for the heads up. I too don't know shit about vdubs, I got one because I think I can get some uber mpg out of the mk2 diesel but then realized I could make a pretty cool looking car in the process. I'll be following your build. I am parting two Jetta sedans right now so hit me up if you need anything.
  14. Nice P-slot wheels. The red car has the rallye grille right? IIRC thats hard to find. Two caddys, not the diesel ones for like $1,200 per chance were they?
  15. Well obviously not the same look. But they are too hard, un-supportive, and feel the same as the fiero seats. A nice hard corner and your ass crawls up the door. They are designed to LOOK sporty, but fit fat assed americans, leaving the bolsters less than supportive for us who are underweight.
  16. My friend just bought an '09 basecoupe. Very fast, very fun to drive. The seats are identical to my fiero and the dash and steering wheel is out of a cobalt. If you like going fast and being uncomfortable, go for it.
  17. Used seafoam with no negative effects, never really had mind blowing results but my truck did idle smoother, used it to discover all the spark plugs were loose on my fiero when I bought it haha.
  18. The title to my truck said GIFT under purchase price no problem when I was in highschool, didn't pay any taxes. I think people are right about the family thing though.
  19. License Status as of 04/08/2010: VALID ENDORSEMENTS: NONE RESTRICTIONS: CORRECTIVE LENSES ***************ACCIDENTS************** A1 ACCIDENT DATE: 05/08/2008 COUNTY: HAMILTON BMV CASE: 88053028 A1 ACCIDENT DATE: 05/08/2008 COUNTY: HAMILTON BMV CASE: 88052904 ***END OF DRIVER RECORDS*** I got rear ended and pushed into the car in front of me, got an ACSD ticket but I took it to court and got it taken away. Interesting this still shows on my record.
  20. Don't waste your money on $12 spark plugs you don't need. +1 on getting your priorities straight. I log in about every other week and either you're making this car faster, buying a new car, or making this one not suck. Decide what you want before you pump cash into anything. 3.8 auto mustangs were never known for their mpg.
  21. I just got "reserve" plates. It was like $35 extra.
  22. Mercedes Benz 300D 2.5 Turbo. OM602 1990-1993. The OM617 5cylinder turbo from the early 80s is also an option but WAY slower. Both are diesel.
  23. I've driven one and liked it. A guy on the fiero forum has one and absolutely loves it. They are very quick. Don't know much about owning one.
  24. Only picture I can find of my first car http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s50/CincinnatiFiero/dodge%20truck/DSCN3217.jpg I still own it. Its got MB quart speakers, and a Pioneer deck, I had a 15" Fi sub in it for a while. 3.9L V6 automatic, ram air mod, thats about it.
