I'd say early model Lexus, they will run for fucking ever with hardly any maintenance. (I've had my current SC for 3 years, 240,000+ and the only thing under the hood I've touched is the alternator) but man if she needs anything done to it they (Florida Mechanics) are going to take her to the cleaners. Question: what is most important to her? Just having a car to get from A-B? or Having a car with properly functioning everything (windows, AC, Radio etc). If she just needs to get from A-B a 90's Toyota/Lexus should fit the bill, but could become problematic if she wants little nit-picky stuff replaced/fixed.

1988 Audi Quattro 5spd Turbo. Fucking brilliant design: Clutch,brakes and power steering were all run off a central hydraulic system. When the fluid ran low (which it always did) you lost the ability to stop,shift and steer :dumb:. Other then that the I5 was pretty reliable.

The thing I don't get is how on gods earth can you turn to Heroin from pills. I mean there's no such thing as a "casual" Heroin user. What forces compel you to use a drug that has a 95% chance of absolutely destroying your life only to leave you using it just so you don't get sick. I mean I did some experimentation back in the day, but never fathomed doing Heroin or Crack. Also, judging from a few recent Doctors appointments (and a good buddy of mine that has to drive to Illinois to get his Percocet prescriptions) Ohio is going bat-shit on the pain-pill problem. Like it's nearly impossible to get a prescription written for them anymore, even if you have a valid reason. I went to the Doctors office a week or two ago and more or less had to straight up tell the Doc "hey look, im not here for pills, I just want to know why im in pain/if I damaged a muscle". Seriously from the time I mentioned the word pain he seemed to immediately throw me into the "pain pills" crowd, you could see it in his eyes to the point I felt I had to say something.

The fucked up thing is I don't either (anymore), and i've lived in good/excellent neighborhoods my entire life (Grew up richer then fuck in UA), and for nearly all of my adult life ran with people that were on the up and up. That said even I, living in the suburbs, have become aware of the problem Upper Arlington and Hilliard are having with kids getting hooked on this shit in fucking High School. Again, back in the 90's @ UA Heroin was absolutely unheard of.

Re-airs @ 1:00am, going to catch that episode. Had a really good friend from high school die 3 weeks ago. We lost touch but I guess he got really bad into pills, then you know the rest. Actually went clean for a number of years (guess he was a huge figure @ AA meetings etc), then relapsed bad, within a week dead . If you weren't aware Heroin was a huge issue in Columbus you must be living under a fucking rock. Shit is everywhere, including all of our more affluent Suburbs. Being a somewhat "wild child" in my teens (90's) I was on the "in's" with the drug crowd; you couldn't find Heroin, period - Not that I tried, but I was usually on the in with what was available and what was not. Heroin was absolutely unheard of back then.

I went through this with a CLEAN high mileage '02 B6: by the time you get done explaining what needs to be fixed (and how much it will cost to fix it) the car is well beyond worthless. It's an Audi thing .

How the hell do you transport a car with no Tires? Roll it on the (steel) wheels? Is that $600 based on just the (metal) scrap value or parts too? I only got like $275 for my shell & cat @ ACE 3 years ago .

Not sure what the demand is like for older Audi's (AUDI LOL :gabe: ) but if there is a substantial following you should have no problem selling the parts on ebay. Parted my last SC out (to the bone); used a fair amount of parts on my current SC, sold the rest easily on ebay. Here again there is a substantial following for these cars and parts sell no-problem. If I wasn't going to use the parts and/or I had a hard time unloading them I would have never, ever parted it out. Or at the very most cherry-picked a few of the easier, high-dollar/high demand items then scrapped the rest.

I went there for my Birthday once, hoping it was on-par with Hofbrauhaus. Left agreeing we should have just made the trip down to Cincinnati. To their credit the Brew selection wasn't bad, but the food was sorta "meh".
