  1. Thanks to everyone in here with the seatbelt comparisons, I have decided to start wearing my seatbelt in order to save the lives of others. Thank you for opening my eyes, I didn't realize it didn't effect just me.
  2. No, but that does not mean that it isn't a risk. The vaccine is still young, data changes daily on it and the virus. I'm waiting until I am comfortable with it before I get it. Call me what you wish (so far we have dolt and snowflake), it still won't change my mind. Probably my last response, I have shit to do today.
  3. Yet is an important word in what you said. There have been plenty of cases of neurological issues(though rare). I have already had covid, I understand the potential risk if I get one of the variants, but I know what I am getting into. I also follow all guidelines as far as social distancing, mask wearing and staying home more than before covid. It isn't something I haven't put any thought into.
  4. What's wrong with me not yet being comfortable with a new style of vaccine? I personally would prefer to see more results long term. Now if they had a traditional vaccine for it, I would have zero issue getting it, in fact someone recently told me that the j&j shot is a traditional vaccine (I have not looked into it yet, though I plan to). If this is the case I will research it a bit, but would likely look to where I could get it.
  5. Deciding not to get the vaccine doesn't make someone a snowflake, I think the intended meaning of calling someone that has been lost on you. As far as feeling sorry for me or my family, I wouldn't expect you to, you don't know us. If it makes you feel better though, a large part of my family is vaccinated. On the flip side if something happens to you or your family (vaccine related or not), just know I would still feel compassion for you. And 75% of americans have had at least the first shot? Thats great! If it works like they hoped then we are (or will be soon) past the 70% threshold for herd immunity.
  6. So then they understand the effects to children born to parents that have been vaccinated? They rushed that process too? It typically takes 3 years for FDA approval, they tested the vaccine for 2 months for effects in adults and are pushing it to 6 months for children to make sure. I'm not saying they need all 3 years, but a couple months isn't enough to find long term side effects. In all, it really doesn't matter how you feel about taking the vaccine. If your vaccinated then great, if your not then that's fine too. I just want them to have the time to do all the testing they are supposed to do before I am comfortable taking a type of vaccine that has never been approved for human use before.
  7. GeT tHe VaCciNe yOu dOlT... No thank you. Call me what you wish, but I have already had covid (and did my part staying home for a month after being exposed through having it and being released to go back to work) and I don't personally trust how they are pushing this vaccine so quickly being that they haven't had time to do the long term testing for proper FDA approval (that everything else requires). Yes, this is based on a vaccine from 20 years ago, but that vaccine didn't pass second phase trials because it was harming the animals it was tested on. If this vaccine is modified from that, it still needs proper testing. With that said, I am not against the vaccine, those that wish to get it should, but I don't believe anyone should force someone else to take it. Also I'm not saying I wouldn't take the vaccine in the future, I just want it to have time to properly be tested.
  8. I'll take the mustang headers, I have a friend that needs a set.
  9. I bought my Audi in KY last October from a small (family run) dealership. I paid cash for the car, I had to have the bmv insoect it ($5) then paid taxes when I did the title work.
  10. I emailed with a couple questions but have not received a response, I may buy a couple spots depending on the answer though.
  11. If that really is a 327 in the car now, they sell for a pretty penny I hear. May be able to pay for the new motor to swap in. Definitely a good looking car though.
  12. Nothing wrong with it besides the hood won't latch... Judging by the rest of the damage (especially the roof and the top of the windshield), he hit someone and is trying to sell the evidence quickly.
  13. Yeah, Nadine was pretty cool, and the food there was really good. I'm friends with the head chef, his name is Scott and he is a car guy too.
  14. No, I didn't know him. My father may have, he worked there for 37 years, got laid off the same day I did.
  15. Yes, that's where I worked. That sucks to hear that he passed away so soon after retiring, sounds like he didn't have long to enjoy it.
  16. I worked there 05-19 and I was all over the floor. The last 4 years there I was in maintenance, but kind of on loan to the mcv and hrs lines (it was a weird arrangement). Honestly, I miss the people, but as far as work goes I am much happier now.
  17. Been here 10 years now. I worked for Liebert when I started, got laid off December of 19 and now I work for the city of Columbus. I had a turd gen Camaro when I joined, now I daily a 05 S4 and have a rx7 and a wrx as projects.
  18. It's an opinion. It doesn't have to make sense to you for it to make sense to me.
  19. Just because I don't want people to get hurt doesn't mean I don't think they will. Do I think it is okay? No, but I know it will happen. That's about how I interpreted that quote as well.
  20. Greg, I found the quote you are referring to: Not my words, I was quoting Thomas Jefferson. If you interpret that as a little blood being spilled as being okay, then I believe you misread it, or at least that isn't how I understand it. My point is that I don't feel the people in power in our government have the peoples best interest in mind, they likely just want more power. They should be reminded when they get too big for their britches that they work for us, not the other way around.
  21. I am the guy Greg is referring to, but I don't remember saying that it was okay that anyone died. But I am glad that they were shown a little fear. They feel like they are above the rest of the nation, they should be reminded now and again that they are not. I'm not happy that an officer died over it, nor am I happy a citizen was shot in the face for it. Now please stop trying to twist my words.
  22. I had a good time, sorry to see your car broke. Did you figure out what it was?
  23. This will be the first time for me.
  24. The guy who did spin out didn't seem to care when he was called out on a facebook page (or so I hear). He has since been roasted by the entire community and for the most part won't show his face on any of the local car related pages. I don't think anyone from the car scene holds you responsible (though I understand you may be talking about the owners of the lot).
  25. The handful of times I have gone it was a great atmosphere and it seemed there wasn't so much showing off as you see at the meets. I was there yesterday and that was the most cars I have ever seen there at once. Of all the cars showing off when leaving there was one guy flagging them down asking them to knock it off, it didn't seem to help. Thanks for organizing all of this over the years, hopefully we can gather in a respectful manner again soon.
