  1. I have not locked anything in yet if you can get us on a better course. I can't even really get anyone to get back with me about an outing lol.
  2. Congrats! Nice car too, I like the unusual choice of drivetrain. Right now I'm in the middle of leafing through his build thread over on norotors, his fab work is second to none.
  3. I would say approx. 20 people though there will likely be fewer than that. I have only been asking about greens fees and carts, nothing about lunch or prizes. You can go ahead and make the call if you like, just let us know whats up.
  4. What about the weekend before? I have not locked anything in yet.

  6. This. A couple others that come to mind by Olds (although fwd) are the Cutlass Calais 442 W41 and the Achieva SCX. Both were surprising considering they looked like a car you would cruise old folks homes in.
  7. I figured majority rule would keep most happy, but how about we shoot for July 27th. That should give everyone plenty of time to make plans. I'm thinking minerva sounds good enough for the broke asses of cr unless someone else comes at me with another respectable rate, but i will hold off for a couple days before locking it in with them just in case someone gets back to me with a better rate. I figure Thursday or Friday I will call them and make it official.
  8. What's the charge for just looking at the pics (provided you come forth with them) and fapping? :fa:
  9. I figure I can only give an opinion on what I know. I have learned a little bit about top fuel dragsters lately, however I know little to nothing about F1 cars, though I can say that I'm sure they are impressive in their own respect (I might look into learning more about them sometime). Rally and road race cars have always interested me I just don't know enough about them to form an opinion on them either. Since it seems others are straying from the fields listed in the OP though, I gotta say, I am most impressed with cars that are built by your average joe. Ones that are true street cars, but can still perform at the track (I'm generalizing when I say track here) too. While these cars I'm talking about are not professional race cars (in most cases), they impress me more than a purpose built car that was built by a team. I think I am most impressed by them because of the amount of passion and dedication and thought that go into them coming from an individual, the fact that they are a labor of love. Something you probably don't see too much of in professional racing. TL;DR: I am impressed by all forms of cars and racing but its the people behind it all that impress me the most, especially the average joe who builds his own car.
  10. Sorry Greg, I misread my e-mail and had to edit my post lol.
  11. Ok, I finally got a couple to get back with me. Bent tree said with just green fees and carts it was going to be $55 per person (which sounds better than 70-75). Minerva golf course has also gotten back to me and for just green fees and carts it is $30 per person. I also put in a request on this site http://www.columbuscitygolfcourses.com/. There is 6 courses that site covers, so if they get back to me with a reasonable rate I figure that could give us some more options. As far as a date, I was thinking sometime in July. Is there a date when everyone is available? That way if we decide on a course to play I can lock in a date. I told them it should be approx. 20 people, so I would like a list of people going for sure. I figure majority vote on the date wins, and the people who say they can definitely make it I will update the list (in the original post) with their screen names.
  12. It sounds to me like the temp switch that controls the fan(s) is going bad.
  13. After watching a YouTube vid about top fuel dragsters recently I'm quite impressed by them. I'm more impressed by the teams behind them for rebuilding the engine so quickly after every pass as the motor pretty much destroys itself during the run.

  15. That's what I was thinking and why I was waiting for more responses from other courses. I was thinking more along the lines of 50 or less per person would be reasonable. I'll do a search here in a little bit and see if I can get a hold of other courses and see if I can find something more reasonable.
  16. I've only gotten one reply (from bent tree), I was trying to get a couple to compare rates. If you guys want I can just e-mail them back and set it up with them. Rates run about 70-75 per person depending on the package. If you guys want I can try a couple other places and see what the rates are, or we can go with this one if everyone is happy with it. Just let me know and I can set up a date and time and such.
  17. It would be too easy to rob a bank or something with a hacked plate. Just drive away and change the number. So the .gov would be happy they are getting theirs while crime just continues to go up.
  18. Didn't know that, I haven't had a radar detector in years because they never worked all that well for me.
  19. Most times by the time a laser/radar detector goes off its to late (though I don't know much about jammers). I just don't speed and avoid the ticket. When I do speed and get caught, I just pay the ticket.
  20. This. I'm not saying that there is no such thing as ADD or ADHD, I just think a lot of kids are just misdiagnosed as having it because they are just hyper.
  21. I would try selling it first. If nobody buys it you could try to part some of the good parts out if you have the time and patience, then scrap the rest.
  22. Same situation with my brother, the school recommended that he needed to be on Ritalin because of ADD. Funny part is that the Ritalin just made him more hyper, turns out he was a normal kid who was just hyper. The school still recommended he be on it, but our parents decided he didn't need it. I hate how schools these days seem to think they know best and that they should be telling the parents how to raise their children.
