  1. I'm sorry for your loss, I lost my first dog as an adult about 3 years ago (got hit by a car chasing another dog), its definitely a tough thing to go through. Sounds like she had a full and loving life though.
  2. I was being a bit of a smartass. It should be obvious before it gets to this point.
  3. Any chance anyone wants to setup a scramble? I could prolly do it, but I don't know anything about any courses around here, but is be willing to do it with some suggestions.
  4. At first when I read the title I was like  Then I read the explanation and saw the pic then I was like

  6. I would hate to be the guy who has to detail that car.
  7. A good indication is when they start bumping into things like walls and tables. My nephew has glasses (he is 3), but I don't think its so much a vision problem as his one eye crosses and the glasses are used to try to correct that. I believe also my brother had to wait until he was three for glasses, but that was 23 years ago, things have possibly changed since then.
  8. I kind of wonder if Dorner had anything to do with the body in the cabin, and if he did, I wonder if it was a family member of someone he was after. Just a thought.
  9. I've always wanted a R33. The R34's are nice looking, but are much heavier than previous generations. And because they were in the fast and the furious movies, they are stupid expensive.
  10. I'm not sure why anything with a supercharged 3800 is even an option given his stipulations (must be manual). He could get a turd gen camaro in "decent" shape for that kind of money, but lets face it, every third gen camaro has been abused (especially if its a v8). A clean roller third gen with a ls drivetrain could be fun though. Ultimately I'm with Ramsey, just tell him to get a bike.
  11. I doubt he would actually be dumb enough to stay in a place he knows they will look for him. He isn't going to put himself where they want him.
  12. Rip the gov't off and build a c6? Seriously, is work on the miata, I'm sure you will have more seat time in it.
  13. You already have a maxima, I would look at the cr-v if I were you.
  14. Being a father myself, I can't blame the guy for what he did. I personally don't feel that I could take another human life, but in that moment having lost his children, idk what I would have done in that situation.
  15. Is a rebuild out of the question? If it is, you could use the car towards a trade-in, though you may not get much for a blown head gasket. You could check out auto max on billingsly (sp?) near sawmill. I picked up my wifes durango there for a fairly reasonable price.
  16. ^^ That's a good vehicle. I had one a couple years ago and had no real problems with it, though it only got 13mpg (cel was on though so it could have possibly been better if it were running 100% correctly).
  17. I know this is slightly off topic, but I know theres a few golfers here on cr, maybe some of us could get together and go golfing (maybe if theres enough interest set up a scramble type tournament or something). Personally, I'm horrible at golfing, but I still enjoy it. I'd like to get a new set of clubs and go this year anyhow if people would be interested.
  18. I agree with this. My nephew (3) kind of talks back to his parents and others. Before when he would talk back to me, I would correct him (and when he otherwise needed it), but his mother decided she didn't want me to correct him. What's most irritating about that is that I see him disobey his parents and talk back. I have to admit that his father is much better about correcting him, but I still fear how he may turn out thinking it's okay to talk back and do what he wants regardless of the consequences. My point is that I hate to see a child walk all over their parents. It's not doing the child any favors in the long run as they are going to have a problem with authority and have no respect for their elders.
  19. I would love a swapped old Japanese muscle car. Something like a rx3, rx4, old skyline, datsun bluebird, or even a rb20 powered z31.
  20. Talked to my 4 month old son last, my wife is to the left of me. I guess she is bait while me and my son get away...
