I got a Hero 2 last week and one of the features I want to utilize is the super slow motion recording. I want to point the camera at my rear tire and see how much wheel spin I have at the track. I have tried the WVGA-120, WVGA-60 and the 720-60 settings and none of them seem to be in slow motion let alone the super slow motion it says. I have a class 10 16GB memory card. Do I need to get a 32GB Sd? Or maybe I just need schooled on how to properly use this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have used that kit and it does work well. I'm not overly a fan of it due to the fact that it takes a different spark plug than the rest of the engine. I like the one I get from NAPA that is an insert that uses the original spark plug.
Are you talking about a street race or a track race? If I lose a street race then no, I don not get mad. I feel I have a fast car so if I lose then I know the other person has a really fast car (Cordell). If I lose a track race then depending on how I lost I get irratated with myself. For example if I race someone who pulls a .02 light or better and runs say .02 off thier dial and I have a .025 bulb and run say .02 off my dial then I'm not upset because I had good numbers and the other person had better numbers. Now if I race someone and they have a .250 bulb and run .20 off thier dial and I still lose than obviously I totally fucked up and that does not sit well with me.
I hope you don't think I was trying to be shitty towards you. I really wasn't I was more making a general statement using your post as a quote. I agree the tech guys don't always tech 100% the way they should even though the say they do. I was impressed your car run as well as it did. I don't know why they would let those cars run the IFO without a cage. Maybe tech was handled by the IFO people? I have oiled the track before. I blew an oil line after the stripe about 6 years ago. Since then I always make sure my car has great parts on it that I can trust. I have no problem putting a diaper on my engine or my transmission. I race my Cutlass on Wednesdays. Its the white one that runs in the street class. I run 10.60's. With that car I totally understand your frustration. For years I have gotten grief over running in the street class. Last year however, I had enough and I didn't go out for over two months. I run with in the leeter of the rules for the Wednesday street class. I do not have a delay box or a throttle stop, I have closed exhaust (flowmaster outlaw race muflers), I have DOT tires (Hoosier wuick time pro's) and I run slower than 10.00. I do run a transbrake which was the subject of much debate last year on Trails' facebook page. Even last week this guy who wasn't even racing gave me a shitty look and shook his head when I was in the lanes for the 1st round of street.
Check the hose going to the brake booster, or intake gaskets, or a cracked intake, or bad IAC valve, possible a sticking accelerator cable, or your car is a Toyota.
Hope that helps your problem.

I found it hard to find any place to touch my axles when I went to screw in studs. No one wanted to liability of altering an axle. I was fortunate enough to have a friend that was able to take it to his work and do it. I would have you call him but he no longer does that kind of work. Maybe you could go to Babbitt and when you pick you done axle's up you could be like " Thanks a lot, oh and I think you're a f**king dick " :lolguy:
You were pulled under the tower and not ready to run??? (lower head and shake it) Did you not want to race a slick equiped car? If you were pulled out of the lanes and were sitting under the tower you should have been belted in with your helmet ready. I know that you know this much.
Did you tell them in tech that you would run possibly 10.9 @ almost 130MPH? I see this all the time. People go out there to race with a car they built but did not build according to the rules. Do you have a roll cage? If yes and you run quicker than 11.49 you are required to have a certified 5 point harness that is within the NHRA expiration. (which is 2 years old max) If you run 135 MPH or faster (regaurdless of E.T.) you are required to have an NHRA license. Next time follow all the rules and if they say something to you then you have a foot to stand on. "No one said anything last week" is not a valid excuse to disregaurd the rules. Just get your car legal and consider the times you got away with it free passes.
You guys are looking at this all wrong. Ok so he possibly bought his son a car that could end up with a terrible ending. Lets move away from that for a minute and find out if the guy has a daughter of our age range or an ex-wife with a phat alamony check or a wife that runs around.
I doubt you would be able to get oil from Auto Zone or any collection location. The laws for the stuff are very strict. Where I work I have to keep a very tight log of all used oils I have on premises and turn in. The EPA does not play around with that stuff. I'm sure you would be able to gather plenty of oil from Cr, the question is would be economical to run around and collect it? I wish you the best of luck on this though. I have a 90 Ford 7.3 and have thought many times about running oil in one of my tanks or a mix of diesel and oil.
It does have the possibility to.

I always prefer to spread bulk mulch from a wheel barrow instead of bagged mulch because I feel like you waste a ton of money on bagged mulch plus you still have to walk back and forth from the truck carying the bags.
My dad has a phone but sometimes goes months without taking it off the charger. Decades ago no one had a phone and if you broke down you would use a phone booth on the corner to call a house phone for help. Now there a hardly any phone booths around and more and more people are turning off thier land lines.
As long as they are in an approved booster seat with approved belts there is no question you are 100% legal. The real question is, are you going to install approved safety belts in her pink Jeep???
Repair kit from NAPA is $55 without any discount. The dealer will fix it for less than that? The good part about buying the kit is if it happens again you have everything you need to fix it aside from another insert which is fairly cheap to buy.
