  1. Leaving the shop at 5, meeting up with GTO Joe then we are rolling the Pontiacs up there tonight. Doubt we'll race, but will certainly look and talk shit.
  2. Yea cam lobes should be essentially mirror finished, sounds like you've had wear in there! How far is the engine torn down at this point? Any time you see extensive wear realize that material went somewhere AKA into your oil so there may be some added wear on other component. Oil seem clean when it comes out or are you seeing some "sparkle additive" with it?
  3. I agree, sounds like something suspension wise is worn or broken. Time to get it in the air and shake some things see whats what. Does it track straight? And clunks bangs squeaks in turns?
  4. I think you are actually looking more at the torque number for crowd plowing, which is also up over the 2017 model year!
  5. That's some pretty damn aggressive driving on a dyno also! Yikes all around!
  6. Just a heads up, job calls for 4.5 - 5 hours plus parts as long as all it is is the compressor.
  7. Well done Sir! That's definitely a long slog of a process, big kudos for sticking with it. The brain drain that most dealerships have gone through losing highly skilled techs ... well it's nice to know there's still some talent in those doors Not to be a smart ass but, does that come with a patch? Seems trivial but an outward expression of your inner accomplishments does kinda feel good.
  8. Jesse and the guys at Performance Auto Spa definitely get my vote, they do almost all of our tint/detail work and are excellent at what they do. Definitely not the cheapest in town but do a damn good job.
  9. You are going to be hard pressed to find any shop these days that has the machinery to cut drums anymore, let alone a tech who knows what they are doing I don't THINK A-1 Trailer up off 23 does such a thing but its possible. We do turn drums for some of the muscle cars / classics we work on but don't know anything about the drum/hub combos on trailers.
  10. Welcome aboard! It's crazy how much power and performance those things give you just from the initial purchase and there is SO much more left on the plate just depending on what direction you want to go... and how much you want to spend
  11. Welcome aboard sir!
  12. I JUST read that when I was at lunch, very cool story as it progressed from a salvage car with a plan to a T/A car at Pikes Peak. Wondering how many other C7 Z06s have run up that mountain though, or was the one they built just THAT much more mean?
  13. And then you spend $5,000 - $15,000 fixing it. Ask me how I know
  14. I've sooo been down this path. 1) Buys "cool car" for cheap 2) Takes pictures realizes its cool, but has a few easily upgrade-able parts for cheap 3) Begins the upgrade process 4) 6 months later wonders why he has a pile of receipts and what happened to the "Cool Cheap Car" Good pick up though, might not be fast but you can make it look and sound cool for not too bad!
  15. What a weekend of racing! Spent the whole day there Sunday, the level of noise and air compression even just from the FENCE is incredible. Brought a friend who had never been to a real world class facility nor had he ever seen the big boys really get down. Needless to say, he was impressed. Got to watch the MAC team prepping between the semi finals and finals which really is impressive when you watch the engine ballet they perform.
  16. Interesting. Can't remember I've ever left a racing event at 4 in the afternoon, but hey if that's how they work these things!
  17. Anyone else going? I'll be up there Sunday for the finals schedule shows last run at 3:45pm then "secure event" at 4pm... surely it's not done and everyone flees by 4pm?
  18. Excellent pick up Sir. Not as fast but you can still definitely enjoy it. Actually in the market for something similar as well
  19. Recommend doing an e-cut out and a tune. Makes a HUGE difference, you can be loud and mean when you want to and quiet/respectful when you need to. The spin down on those cars which is computer controlled inorder to burn off excess fuel sounds REALLY weird without a tune FYI
  20. Good choice they are actually really tolerable as a DD and can be quite fun at a decent value. Yes they are heavy but there's more than enough power to move it along nicely. It's also new and warrantied!
  21. http://www.thedrive.com/new-cars/11707/dodge-plays-hardball-to-halt-dealer-markups-on-challenger-srt-demon?utm_source=spotim&utm_medium=spotim_recirculation&spotim_referrer=recirculation&spot_im_comment_id=sp_JjtET6Vo_article%2411707_c_ckuMbL How many of these things are just going to be picked up by speculators and resold to enjoy all that juicy profit? Of the 3000 to be built how many will be out terrorizing the streets and strips versus only sitting at home or in storage to be rubbed on as an investment? Not much Dodge can do to change it, we appreciate the attempt though..
  22. Yeah I've noticed quite a lot of their Sponsored posts and advertisements lately in my Instagram and Facebook feeds. Not exactly organic growth of a grass roots community, when you are paying per click
  23. I wonder, will the two sides ever come together...?
  24. Love the first photo with the Porsche... nothing says I'm here with my rich car bros like a Subway parking lot Some good looking shots though, keep it up we all appreciate it!
