  1. Alrighty as of today, Crazy Alignment deal is closed! Admins, lock it up!
  2. Hmmm CR Caravan / Raceday at Norwalk? Although, you don't know how bad you've lived until you see how GOOD others do!
  3. What kind of cylinder head?
  4. Well start building that "To Do" list
  5. Most of the ABS from those generations whether its Ford GM or anyone else was shitty. The system on my 99 mustang was a complete PITA with traction control/ABS linked together it made for a nightmare. Remove sensors, disable late, enjoy driving again.
  6. Oh I completely sympathize, if I buy a new car I expect my new car to be smack dab in perfect factory specs. Unfortunately more often than not it doesn't work out that way. From assembly, settling, loading/unloading in shipping, various other factors.. it's rather scary how far out some of them are. We did wheels and tires on a 2016 Camaro that still had the dealer sticker on it, and the alignment was all kinda off. Unfortunately it happens
  7. Torque steer on dyno moving it around on the roller? Yikes that would make me a tad nervous! Very impressive, used to take a twin turbo 3liter v6 or oldschool v8 to make those kinds of wheel numbers... ask me how I know! Should be quite a fun lil rocket around the roads. Enjoy it!
  8. Ok ok.. getting slightly messy Are you getting any driveability issues from it with the wheel hub codes coming up? Growling/grinding/etc?
  9. Just a heads up for anyone wanting to get in on this, next week is the end of the promotion after that we are back to the regularly scheduled pricing. If you don't have your baby hauler, lifted truck, lowered racecar, whatever with 4-6 wheels done or at least on the schedule by then... you lose!
  10. Unfortunately a LOT of new cars have alignments that aren't "In Spec" from the factory..but yours is more than a tad excessive. Should certainly be a fun conversation with the service department!
  11. Should be plenty of shops willing and able to tackle such a beast. We (Lucore) could certainly be an option for you if you are interested.
  12. Mess? Mess you say? Shiiiit that doesn't sound like a mess. Why I could tell you some stories!
  13. That's one impressively screwed up alignment! Umm... yea that had to track and wear really interesting. That's even beyond someone who "knows alignments" randomly screwing around. Guessing this is the first time on an alignment rack, original OEM tires?
  14. Welcome aboard, very cool ride! Also nice to see it actually gets driven not stored away and rubbed with a diaper
  15. Going to be in Detroit for the weekend or would definitely be involved!
  16. Well I'm sure all of you are waiting with baited breath so... ended up ordering a set of the V720s at an extra special price so we'll see how those run. 200TW so should be able to keep away from any point penalties and sticky enough to hold track surface. This car will get little to no actual road mileage so should stay pretty hearty until this car comes apart. On a side note, with the delay in getting shoes for the Mustang ran the '92 at Miata Club event last weekend. On the super tight setup they run and 520TW street tires...AWD and Twin Turbo with 3800+ lbs... it didn't go so well. But hey, the season has begun!
  17. Well that's no good. Always been curious how they could never staff enough to handle Saturday mornings though. Regularly waiting 30+ minutes just to get my $5 ultra manly coffee was rather offputting. How's the relationship with the movie theater folks?
  18. Looks like some brake clean and Bars Head Gasket Stop leak away from being back on the road Unfortunately this is just another example of why we shudder at phrases like "Ran when parked"
  19. Skill level is about "this high", always room for improvements. Personal track time has been way less than I would prefer given how much work we are pushing through the shop and weekend trips to pick up rides but... this year will be different! When I ran the Forester XT the suspension was fine, the power was great, and the driver wasn't terrible, but the tires just couldn't hold in the corners. So for what is essentially $600 or so in tires can take that variable out of the equation. Well worth it. Also the suspension that's on this is set up for aggressive Pro-Touring style driving so having a tire that won't just push or slip through cornering and accel is extremely important. As far as trophy running or a shot at national SCCA? Highly doubt we'll be at that level of competition this year more fun runs and shaking down the setup than anything else. But, if I win a gold star sticker along the way... that's fine too!
  20. "Worn to slicks" over how many events?
  21. That 4 door civic with full JDM sexiness had me more than a little impressed. Don't know who puts that kind of time/money/effort into a 4 door USDM civic.. but I like what they done there!
  22. Highly considering those, have seen some pretty decent reviews of them and it seems like once one or two heat cycles are through a lot of these tire options they really start to grip even better. Treadwear is only an issue to make sure we aren't out of class, this car won't see public roads at all just cone chasing. As long as they make it through summer/fall I'm happy
  23. I'll be the first to admit I can be a bit pretentious and arrogant at times, but I will NOT be that guy showing up at an AutoX in a full racing suit with matching shoes and a watch...unless I do well this season then maybe NEXT season
  24. Fixed! Sorry my Editor wasn't paying attention
  25. It's already running a full suspension setup currently, just need to see how she does in the twisties. This car is mostly a donor car, engine and trans will be coming in a different vehicle once complete and the suspension is going into a resto-mod once we are happy with it. Running a 17x8 wheel on all 4 corners so a 255x40 tire is likely, just curious who's had luck with what. Looking at several different options from Toyo, also Kumho is apparently over their issues on the early V720s..
