  1. Got the Stealth out to Trails for the first time this year, have some shake down to do to get her back in fighting condition but at least got to make 2 passes at Trails before the weather rolled in on us.

Wait wait wait what about the CR group parking lot burnouts?! Sit back enjoy some J E L L O and enjoy the show?! Glad to hear he's making such a rapid recovery, for those of us who are constantly on the go and moving people there's NOTHING worse than doing nothing. I'll echo everyone else with the thanks for keeping us informed.

Good to hear he's fighting back, definitely been a hell of a battle so far from what you all have been posting. Maybe he was just sandbagging on the recovery? So... burnouts in the parking lot?

Man what a rollercoaster you guys have been on the last month! Does his room have a window overlooking a parking lot? We could arrange a CR group burnout to raise his spirits?
  5. Definitely willing to give your Scoobie a look over, we've built/torn down/rebuilt/destroyed many Subarus over the years and have more than willing to help hunt down an A/C issue. Anything and everything we do aside from race motors we stand behind and warranty, feel free to give us a looksie online anywhere you want and you can see some of what we've done. Lucore Automotive, we're in Plain City just outside Dublin
  6. Picked up 43 MPH!? Not 4.3? Holy shit!
  7. We certainly are no stranger to helping folks more their projects along What kind of time table is he on?
  8. Nothing like a few 80+ degree days to make people want to get their A/C working Just wrapped up and shipped a '67 Firebird today and jesus without A/C and with the windows up that thing felt like driving an oven! In all honesty both Noebull and us I'm sure could do some poking and help you make a decision, just remember you are paying for poking and that usually isn't fixing your root problem of 40 year old shit And yes Matt we can certainly help you out on that, these past few days it's incredible how quickly the A/C calls start rolling in. With all the track prep and projects we are trying keep moving forward on.. things are getting a bit sticky!
  9. Call Top Stitch in Plain City they do most of our upholstery work and I'm sure could get you squared away. 95% of the time that's a pretty minor surgery.
  10. And yes the LeMans will be ready, hopefully getting back to working on it this week. The Beard is at the braiding stage which is a GOOD thing! Thanks for subscribing and watching, there's still a lot to improve with these videos but hopefully they aren't used to help you pass out at night
  11. Some MKIII Supra goodness finally coming together, been a LONG time getting ready to build this beast nice to finally see some progress coming together!
  12. 1) Yes you can absolutely end up spending more in the long run with the try and pray method if pieces and parts need to be replaced, not to mention if there's a leak in the old system you are usually venting toxic (and expensive) material that once you replace said part will just be need to be compensated. Quite literally your money is evaporating into the air. 2) Vintage Air IS a game changer, pretty simple straight forward system with all sorts of usability. You can get bracketry for nearly anything, the hardware weighs FAR less than the ancient compressors and thick cast iron brackets as well. Really for those of us who buy/work on classics the appeal of buying an "A/C Car" are less and less now that their kits have gotten so good.
  13. Just wondering what Ohio events you'll be bringing this thing to? Coming down for Spring IFO? Street Car Takeover again? Always love following you and your mad scientist ways!
  14. Yes we certainly do these and it's in the neighborhood of what Noebull quoted you. The unknown with these things is how well sealed up your current system is, unfortunately there's no much you can do beyond just convert it pressurize it and test. We've done tons of the conversions, its a very slidey scale on how well it turns out without replacing compressors/hoses/etc. Otherwise as Kerry said the Vintage Air kits are AWESOME and work great, however you're going to have considerably more out of pocket than the "Try it and Pray" method.
  15. I'm in hardcore build / fix mode right now trying to get some vehicles done before IFO on the 14th for a couple of customers so not sure what of mine I'll have done before the 7th. Will do what I can though!
  16. Just in case anyone cares or is following along
  17. I go on record and say both the FiST and the FoST are outstanding cars with tons of utility as well as quite a fun factor. I will also go on record to say do NOT modify and AutoX your daily driver. Not not NOT a good idea. Also, you COULD buy an 01 Mustang GT with a stoker 5.0 and a Kenne Bell blower on it for that kind of money... just saying
  18. How about a SN95 Mustang with a brand new 4.6 stroked to a 5.0 with a Kenne Bell blower on it?
  19. THAT is how you do an intro post! Good to see another V8 'Merican here on CR, welcome aboard! Where do you plan on exercising that Z28? Mid Ohio? Ledges? 42/Trails? AutoX?
  20. I remember visiting Columbus from my small home town an hour north back in the mid 90s, there was an exit ramp for Polaris and a gas station. That was it. It would be interesting to know how much physical size the city has grown during the last 25+ years, that midwestern suburban sprawl is crazy!
  21. I know it was mentioned previously but how are we handling same driver multiple cars? Picked up another ride I think should be pretty competitive in the DD class...
  22. This one has been a long long time coming but it's finally here. IS300 turbo vs Big Block Chevelle!
  23. We did a FI Tech Command Center setup on a fellow CR members C10 a while back... that thing drove us nuts! Fortunately the pump replacement wasn't a total nightmare but it's really quite annoying taking apart a vehicle you JUST put together and was working fine for a while. FiTech has seen some incredible growth over the past few years and the guys are always extremely nice and supportive but might have out grown their ability to support these days. The in tank pump issue I mentioned cause a .... headache. Having faith in your old ride not leaving you stranded on the side of the road is important. Some of the fun of the drive is taken away when you are constantly terrified something is going to die. And thanks for the follow :fuckyeah:
  24. Wow totally missed this thread until now but glad to see it got handled! Having a Jegs crew member on tap for the CR folks is a HUGE benefit too so thanks for the special tech support James! Totally agree with you on the Command Center II from FI tech, many fewer issues with it versus the original one.. no more annoying heat soak issues. The FI Tech kits are great bang for the buck, really damn simple to set up and get wired in as far as the inline setup goes. Unfortunately their parts availability lately has been a bit... shit. Working on a big block mopar project we were doing an intank pump set up for to feed a 600HP FiTech unfortunately... their pumps had a 2 month wait time. So, off to Holley for their in tank returnless setup! A bit more money up front but have rarely ran into issues with them and the extra features the Holley comes with out of the box are great for future PA / Timing control in the future.
  25. Any event I'll be attending I'll be happy to film, also the Supra we are currently building is for a local photographer/videographer so I'm sure he will be rolling to events with equipment as well.
