  1. I have heard that the RP does a good job in the V160 on S, and it is obviously much more readily available compared to the 'yota fluid. So that is the route I took. I just mocked up the tripod and shifter for some dry shifts, and she felt pretty good. We will see if the synchros are still in this JDM pos when she starts rolling around.
  2. Draining the trans and getting ready to throw some RP synchromax in it: http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/484342_10100610776156872_1748471789_n.jpg ATI Damper installed: http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/226435_10100610776376432_1846032234_n.jpg

  5. K-sport suspension installed... should be like the HKS drag suspension, but brand new. Hoping it works as promised and lets the car sit down and hook up http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/64108_10100599806415322_625293831_n.jpg

  8. Dropped the sub frame yesterday and put in some PHR solid sub frame and differential mounts. The sub frame mounts weren't bad, but the diff mounts sucked to get out! http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/69238_10100592844616822_1128675367_n.jpg
  9. Finished up the triple setup with some nice new socks. Airtrex FS160, FS210, FS180 were the socks i used and they fit well and still go in the stock bucket in the tank... http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/482440_10100591572111932_33220171_n.jpg
  10. Ive been plugging away and getting stuff cleaned up... last night i finally finished up my intake manifold. Hoping to get the motor in the car by the end of next week. http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/45309_10100585143200522_1092145953_n.jpg

  12. Thanks. Its nice to know im not the only lunatic who would do such a thing. It took 4 visits over 2 weeks to get that manifold all worked out.... lol. I was joking with my buddy who has the shop and said "if I have to take this manifold off, im just throwing the head away and starting over"
  13. Alright... so the first real "snag" came up when i changed manifolds. Bottom line is the one i got was a custom piece built by someone who had some mods done that I didnt have. Unfortunately I didnt know this, so i figured it would work just fine on my motor... WRONG! lol Took some time and a lot longer than any manifold install should, but she is finally on. I had to make some custom hardware because a standard M10 nut did not work. Also I had to source a step down stud because the hillbillies that did the head must have stripped a bolt and then just tapped it out to M12. So I bought a stud from an off road racing shop which has a stud that steps a M12 down to an M10 like the rest of my manifold studs. finally the guy who had this before me had a solid motor mount. I did not, so I had to grind a little bit of the aluminum off of the motor mount bracket to get it to clear. I hope that the rest of the build moves a lot smoother than this, because it was frustrating that every day i went to work on the car, something else didn't work. And unfortunately the car is about 1 hr away from where I live currently, so it was extra frustrating because of this. Anyway, the pics of the goods: My $20 stud (min order from SOR offroad M12->M10 stepdown stud) http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/485163_10100575406398152_1358893720_n.jpg Custom nuts that I drilled and tapped to clear the manifold: http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/11850_10100575419941012_1151438530_n.jpg Water neck was ground down to clear the T6 compressor cover and repainted. I replaced the top stock hardware with an appropriate cap screw: http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/11822_10100575406458032_897490186_n.jpg Prepped and ready to go on: http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/563566_10100575406837272_926372557_n.jpg Final result... the manifold is on for the last time! http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/405093_10100486389279172_2060080027_n.jpg

  16. I always liked the machined coil covers vs the stock plastic.. so I popped for this one because it is vented like the stock cover. http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/74607_10100552136481252_969039911_n.jpg
  17. Its a good thing you love welding. That looks like it took forever!
  18. ughhhh March first deadline? I wish it would get pushed to April! I am a maybe on this.
  19. You will see me rocking my gopro this summer on the supra's cage I know the cheaper alternatives are uber tempting, but when it comes down to it, do you want one great shot? or a bunch of crappy ones? Here is an example where you can see the image quality difference. I used my go-pro for the norwalk "on car" video and my driod X2 with its "8MP HD video" for the farther back shots. You be the judge: Also idk wtf i cant embed my YT vids here lol sorry for the links!
  20. Working on splitting the tails apart and getting them cleaned.... http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/181108_10100542065543492_152832259_n.jpg
  21. I purchased a GoPro Hero 2 last year and I am still 100% satisfied with it. Full HD is awesome. Even the "crappy" resolution on YT still looks decent assuming your PC can handle the graphics load. IMO GoPro Hero2's are going to be superior than the competition. Nothing else has impressed me like this camera. Ease of use, ability to get a good smooth shot, mounts surviving over 150mph, etc. Each alternative has some drawback that makes me happy with my purchase. I use it for cars, hunting, skiing, etc, so the waterproof capabilities are a huge plus for me as well. Here are some of the videos I have taken with my camera...this is all raw unedited footage, and im far from an expert!: Cars: Hunting Skiing
  22. I see. So its basically there to prevent sloshing and starving your pumps. Very interesting.
  23. alright, you have me baffled. Why would you pump fuel to another tank then put more pumps out of that little tank? at that point you could just have got a baffled fuel cell and had one weldon/multiple aeromotives do the same work. I am not saying it doesnt make sense, i am saying I dont understand why you did it this way. Can you help me understand?
  24. Thanks! I will try to get some more updates going soon. Lots to buttton up!
