  6. hey if you need a GT47 80mm let me know. I have one for sale!
  7. I do like the turbo choices. You have my dream close in mind too. I would go with a 25.5 caged sup. 10:1 CR Billet 3.0 long block, Half filled block, P&P head with +2 ferrea valve train and a BPA long tube pro-mod manifold. Pro mod Gen 2 88mm from precision or a GTX4718R with a vband connection, Titanium exhaust with a Boost logic 4" muffler. Pro-efi with Dry sump, 3-4 stages of direct nitrous. DSS 9" kit (comes with DS, axles, hubs, and center section) v160 and tilton triple. All that wrapped up in a baller paint job, an EKanoo style hood and some big 28x10.5w slicks out back. All this in a race trailer with all my supra junk and take that puppy to ever track from Illinois to Maryland and just enjoy beating it up. well now my wallet hurts on that $125k spree. back to work!
  8. Thanks! GTR Is a different price bracket than a sup, so there should not be much of a debate. I will say you can run 8s in a supra for less than the base price of a GTR. Personally I think its amazing the creature comforts and drivability that the GTR's offer while being able to drive like monsters. Many supra guys go to GTR's after a while. They definitely are fun, but just don't do it for me personally. However GTR can be financed. Most Supras are difficult to get funding for. You need all cash up front on these cars!
  9. I got a little over my head thinking I could take a purpose built drag motor and thought "ah I could wrangle this thing and easily drive it on the street." Bottom line it wont idle until it reaches 150 degrees, and doesn't idle nicely until its up to temp at 1500rpm. Any variation means a stall. Any hesitation on the clutch/ not revving the car high before letting out the clutch leads to a stall. Then you have to hope you can fire it back up before looking like a complete jackass on the road. Bottom line it was made to drag, so I am going to let it fulfill its destiny.
  10. some items just make the car fairly difficult to drive on the street. I wish she was more street friendly, but that is water under the bridge. Mostly stemming to the cams that are in the car. they are a prime example of just being TOO big. Makes the car difficult to start up and difficult to drive under 2500 rpm. I am over it and will just drive it on the street less. and before suggesting a cam change, realize the head was designed/cut for these cams....and the valves were cut to clearance the big cam properly. So to do a cam swap on this head is impossible. It would need completely rebuilt with new valves. Just not something im interested in doing on a motor with only 500 miles or so on it that runs this strong.
  11. its the sad story for every high HP supra. The problem is no one is willing to buy the full package up front. When you part them out they are worth a fortune compared to what they are as a whole. Gared's red supra is being parted out due to his medical reasons. He was asking 60k for his car and got zero offers even close to that. His car is a lot more aesthetically pleasing than mine. I have no NEED to sell it, but if I could do it all again, I would do it differently. Unfortunately looks like I will just need to stick with the car I got and pour some money in it to try out all the different scenarios. I am debating on going to a larger turbo for next year and drive it on the street less. More nitrous, put it on slicks, at let her eat. We will see what my funds permit this coming season.
  12. At 1:30ish I hit the rolling antilag. It would work much better on a smaller turbo car, but basically get it into where your car makes boost, hold button, smash gas.. watch boost gauge to build boost and then let the button go. Insta-kick in the pants
  13. T6 turbo. 0.96 AR And I guess I have to . I'm not selling it for pennies on the dollar invested and I'm not ready to part it out yet.
  14. Looking for a written estimate on my 2002 Avalanche Z71. Need the blender motor replaced and the Knock sensors replaced. All parts need to be quoted and labor to be quoted. If anyone knows a service writer that could email that to me I would be eternally greatful My screen name above @yahoo.com TIA for anyone who can help!
  15. Guess im an idiot. I have an avalanche and have considered an H2 for some time. Avy and hummer aren't meant to be mpg machines. they are meant to be versitle and tow a lot of weight. My avy handles my supra and the trailer without a problem. past 200k now and idk that ill will ever get rid of it. just too reliable to ditch
  16. Changed them to hyperlinks... for some reason it doesn't want to embed the vids.
  17. Well had a slight issue after some pulls: After the pull I thought it was a spun brg, but when I opened the hood it sounded like an exhaust leak. I verified all my runners didn't have any leaks and the gaskets still looked ok. Then I found a black spot on the fire wall and began to inquire about that. Larry suggested it could be the EGR port on the back of the head. Sure enough, the company that did the head put some sort of soft plug in it, which let go. I got my pal Saif to give me some dimensions and I scribbled a drawing and began to fab up a block off plate. Here is a video trying to see the Plate I put on the back of the head... sorry for the poor quality For anyone needing to make a plate for there car, here is a scribble sketch of what it should look like with rough dimensions.. hardware is 2 standard M10 bolts: http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/a440/miller11386/20130924_210114_zps72066be3.jpg I am trying the plate sans RTV and going to keep an eye on it. If it leaks ill end up putting some silicone on it or make a gasket, but I think it should hold up OK. Obviously if you have the motor out of the car it is MUCH easier to do, but I had no choice. Hopefully that helps someone else out down the road
  18. I cant make it to the CR track day due to several commitments I have on the 28th but I definitely would like to get to the IFO on the 29th.
  19. Anyone planning to get to IFO on 9/29 at national trails? I hope to get there, but we will see what happens. My support vehicle is down, and im not sure i want to drive the sup all the way down there. I do know that Joel Grannas has said he is coming, so you can see a mid-low 8 sec six speed that day. If you need a discount flyer print this off : http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/a440/miller11386/ohiofronthalf2013septCJM_zpsc838e87b.jpg
