I've got a Galaxy Nexus w/ regular samsung battery, extended samsung battery, and super-insane ZeroLemon battery available with back-covers for each. I'll flash whatever ROM you want on it. Forty bucks for the set?

[crosspost from my rennlist thread] Made some progress! This motor seems larger than when i took it out. It's tight quarters in there. I tried lots of different angles. http://i.imgur.com/Ny8UCNe.jpg?1 (No..) http://i.imgur.com/95P2yTH.jpg?1 (No . . ) http://i.imgur.com/X92s13Z.jpg?1 (No...) .... Shoehorn? http://i.imgur.com/LD7kyqz.jpg?1 Each time (3 in total) I got pretty close, but could never get everything to line up and seat nicely. I got down to about a half an inch of gap in this area on my best attempt. So, I figure the best way to put it back in .. is the way I took it out. http://i.imgur.com/uFWX7So.jpg Good thing I got that nice clutch alignment tool. http://i.imgur.com/JKUpDCg.jpg?1 I ended up having to take down the cross member, control arms, etc to get things moving in the right direction. And she's finally seated! http://i.imgur.com/jNM48sJ.jpg\ http://i.imgur.com/3kvgFi0.jpg Nice and shiny! In retrosect, I could've waited to put the manifolds on. But so pretty. http://i.imgur.com/RQY37rC.jpg?1 Pics for clicks. http://i.imgur.com/g01HHdZ.jpg?1 What a job. I ended up with a busted eyebrow (jack handle) a scarred back (underside of shelf) and a ponytail that adsorbed six times its weight in grime. http://i.imgur.com/9qaisSW.jpg?1 (If you see me around, say Hi!) Next day - with the big stuff out of the way, I continued on at an easier pace. Connecting up the larger vacuum stuff. Idle stabilizer valve, AOS, Air-box, various. http://i.imgur.com/yqJUeb3.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/4NgcoJe.jpg?2 http://i.imgur.com/i0F0dvD.jpg Soon I get to look more closely at the electricals.

Nah, suggested fiberglass enclosure to maximize internal volume for burps maybe, .. for music I think it's pretty well inert electrically. primary function is to break wave reinforcement/cancellation - makes the response "look" more like a larger enclosure. but I agree, when you put it in a car all the math and graphs mean shit unless it's about extremes
-
I used to be in the sub scene pretty heavy - made stickers for most of the forum boner companies - TC Sounds, Fi, SoundSplinter, RE, Ascendant.. It's all about the enclosure, man. Just about any midrange consumer sub will deliver in spades if it's properly boxed. If it were me, I'd grab a lowish BL, lightweight woofer (RE SE?) and do a stealthbox-style spare tire or trunkside enclosure. Here's The Laptop Guy's chihuahua in my 18" RL-p. These are the tie-rod ends I intended to use; http://i.imgur.com/275j4Bs.jpg?1 As you can see, they are Chinese and of poor quality. And didn't fit. http://i.imgur.com/Qw7mT41.jpg?1 Fortunately, I am a dolt, as evidenced here: More on my mental prowess later. Off to the parts store I go, to see what else they've got. Found some Moog parts, Hecho en Estados Unidos - They're nice, serviceable units with grease fittings and better casting. With Castle nut, cotter-pin, etc. But they're in different boxes? And the parts differ from eachother - one has been returned previously. Maybe by a 944 owner as daft as myself. http://i.imgur.com/EsAPm1P.jpg?1 http://i.imgur.com/fumNs9M.jpg?2 Of course, these "don't fit" also... when you try to install them umop apisdn. :banghead:

I have each system; Quattro-haldex Quattro-torsion Diesel, FWD They're all fantastic - but for a city commuter no real benefits from the AWD systems. Here's the info, though: A3 (and Q7, R32, Golf R) "Quattro" is Haldex-based, "not real quattro" for Diesel VWs, you're getting (exceptional) FWD for Diesel Audi "real" Quattros, you're overseas. The 2.0T delivers good mpg, but does require premium fuel. Can be found with "real" Quattro in the A4 if you're determined. (50/50 Torsion in A series, 60/40 in S series) For the kid, a 2.8L A4 Quattro (B5) costs peanuts (and is safe. AMHIK)

If you're ditching the stick, try a DSG/S-tronic. http://goo.gl/vYzJIf <- DSG Farts. Available in GTI, A3, A4, etc.

For your research and google-fu, you're making a 'UDS' Ugly Drum Smoker. If it's your first one though, you really want one of these: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2325418&KPID=2893445&cagpspn=pla&CAWELAID=109389680 Completely idiot-proof and I leave/use mine in the rain/snow without issue. It's a crock-pot for men.

My R32 (A3) has 117k on the DSG, HPFP, etc. No fear, keep it. Consider what'll be available "next time" you've got an itch to change it up.
-
It may have a european switch installed. Can you turn on the foglights (pull the switch) with the other lamps off? http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4837602-What-does-a-euro-switch-do-...-on-a-New-Beetle You may be seeing City Lights and not DRL.
