  1. I plan to put mine back on the ground then back it up on ramps to tighten. I put my exhaust on with just ramps, it's not too comfy under there but I'm pretty sure I can reach all the rear suspension bolts.

That and they sent me some bracket for an F-Body instead of my toe rods so I'm waiting to hear back on that so I can get a return label.
  3. I wish I knew half as much about cars as you do. I often feel the same about my job in IT as you do about yours. Lots of days I wish I could go back to slinging produce. The best thing I've found when I'm down is to get out someplace nice and walk. Freezing cold, 1' of snow, just adds to the challenge. You learn quick how to dress. Exercise, sunlight, and time to think with no one bother you since who would be insane enough to go with you.
  4. I'm interested in that too, the BMR fairy just stopped by my house this morning... Still waiting on sways and toe rods. http://i.imgur.com/QP6PyKJl.jpg
  5. If they don't see your value it's not someplace you want to work. The right thing is out there and you'll find it.
  6. I'll keep an eye out for a set of 28" rims with spinners for you. Are you will to go a little extra for the built in flashing LEDs?
  7. Wonderful gift! However.. FYI - Most of these I've read about have nasty fine print. Massive charges for going over 4k RPM Big $$$ for insurance once you show up etc. Might want to do your homework on the company she bought it through so you don't show up excited and leave pissed.
  8. Not a great sign that their new executive producer bailed after only a few months. http://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/dec/22/bbc-top-gear-executive-producer-chris-evans
  9. They are nowhere close on light trucks yet. I want to see a self driving car that can tow a trailer...
  10. Hi I'm Doug DeMuro and today I'm taking a Roomba to CarMax to get a quote. Join me tomorrow when I take a dead fish to CarMax!
  11. I had been thinking about getting a '17 if they switched to the 2.0. I do not want to guinea pig their first DCT offering though. The performance numbers are going to have to be amazing for the hybrid thing to fly though. The electric should help it launch like a beast, hopefully they can tame the weight and make it still turn corners.
  12. Looks like none of that has been touched in a long time. I'd start on the roof checking for an obstruction at that end of the vent pipe.
  13. Anything in that price range is usually PAINFUL to use. Slow slow slow. Just go ahead and schedule an entire week to run windows updates on it. Buy a high end device and use it for 5-6 years or buy one of these every year or two.
  14. I test drove a '15 STI in like November of last year at Hatfield with no issues at all.
  15. I was thinking about this in terms of the US Constitution since people know those amendments better. 1st Facebook Amendment - Free Speech, but only on Facebook 2nd Hi Point Amendment - Right to bear any arms you want as long as they are made by Hi Point 4th Brinks Amendment - Prevent illegal searches and seizures as long as your home security bill is paid in full.
  16. I started the day before the rally with a little cruise around the UP: http://i.imgur.com/kfbdAeRl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vJ1pqyhl.jpg Great view from my hotel room the night before the rally, along the pier to the left is the starting line for day one. http://i.imgur.com/FZKrzgFl.jpg Checkpoint #1 took up north across the bridge. http://i.imgur.com/nAlEG9Zl.jpg Lots of fall colors along the way: http://i.imgur.com/7ylUS1ll.jpg Our little group just before my car broke: http://i.imgur.com/Fpv060El.jpg http://i.imgur.com/9gjQtgsl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/95ac7p1l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/S8rtviXl.jpg As we left that pulloff my dash lit up and the car went into limp mode. Everything was normal on the gauges and it still ran mostly ok, idle was rough. I tried restarting the car when we stopped at a light. I just kept rolling to the next checkpoint so I could pull out the code reader and figure out what was going on. Got to the next checkpoint and figured out my aftermarket MAF on my intake kit had failed. Tore the whole intake out in the lighthouse parking lot to double check all the connections. Couldn't get signal out of it so that ended my day, I limped the car towards the hotel. What won my team the Hard Luck award is that I had problems but made it to the finish line which is a requirement. One team grenaded a clutch and another dropped a driveshaft on the freeway, neither one made it to Kilkare. So the only way to fix my car was to find an entire factory airbox and intake which no one was going to have in stock at 3pm on Saturday. My wife dropped everything at a moments notice and grabbed my factory setup out of the garage and hopped in the car with the dog to make the 6 hour drive from Circleville to Muskegon to meet me at the hotel. Swapped the intake out and did an idle relearn and I was back in business for day two. http://i.imgur.com/FcrSzYnl.jpg Our group got separated right from the start and we all had different goals so I ran solo. Didn't take too many pictures. Got to Kilkare and I made a bunch of passes at 13.1 with all my crap in the trunk and way too much gas on my crappy all-seasons. http://i.imgur.com/0yYRT1sl.jpg We raised over $25,000 for the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Ohio and had a ton of fun doing it. http://i.imgur.com/szAkXdsl.jpg
  17. I'm in. Decals will be coming off sometime after this weekend.
  18. I guess the semi isn't very impressive then when you consider there was a Trans-Am in front of him...
  19. Yeah I didn't need to read past the headline to associate the fact that they stopped because oil prices dropped. If I were them though I'd pay off someone at a large news org to write the story as they are doing it because they love the environment.
  20. Have him show you it's a U with CPU-Z or no deal. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
  21. I would probably go with a single drive NAS and skip the mirroring. The WD My Cloud seems to get decent reviews, 4TB seems to be the price sweet spot on that one. Buy more space then you think you'll need. I stick with either Western Digital or Seagate for traditional HDDs and considering the number of drives I have spinning at one time I've had relatively few failures. I've given up doing RAID at home. Yes I've had to do a couple restores because of drive failures but it's not an environment where an evening of downtime is costing money. I'd rather put the money into more backup drives than RAID.
