  3. Just an FYI, if you end up with 18" rims, I have 2 18" Goodyear F1s off the rear of a C5 Vette I could sell.

I would like to see pics. Thanks.
  5. Swap the wire from plug #2 to a different plug. See if the misfire follows the wire. If the misfire changes from 2 to the new plug, problem is ignition. If the above passes, swap an injector from #2 to another hole. If misfire changes cylinders, problem is in injector. I really think one of those 2 things will find your problem.
  6. Bearings ordered. Gears being set up. Housing is being put in a jig to double check trueness and weld in a drainplug.

  9. Everything you see is what the car left the factory with. Kind of humbling to see a 39 year old car have larger rotors and more-pistoned-calipers than my GTO.
  10. I was just going to update the old thread, but can't find it. Oh well. Here are recent shots of dad's 67. Pics due this no justice. Before http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Dad/1967_Corvette/zzmotor_out2_resizedmed.jpg EDIT - updated pics at the bottom - http://nurkvinny.com/1967_Corvette.htm http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Dad/1967_Corvette/Frame800600a.jpg http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Dad/1967_Corvette/frame800600f.jpg http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Dad/1967_Corvette/frame800600d.jpg
  11. A month ago, I finally got the new-to-me engine running well in the truck. First test drive out... fried the TH350 transmission. No big deal; I had a spare at the house. Wait, big deal. Broken trans was longtail; new one is short. Solution - http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Trucks/1985_S10/ShaftMED.jpg Had a new shaft made, balanced, new u-joints. Replaced every seal + filter in trans. Thought - "hey, great time to upgrade the cooler". Forgive the dirt - http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Trucks/1985_S10/CoolerMED.jpg Good to go. Test drive again. Striped-ass ape. Boy, wouldn't it be good to finally get the MUCH lower gears? Sure - http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Trucks/1985_S10/456MED.jpg Gears purchased. Major sponsor of Mt Vernon's track set up to do the gear set-up for me, check. Auburn center chunk ready. Pull the Strange axles out tonight, and find the $$$ Strange bearings in the following condition - Driverside http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Trucks/1985_S10/axleMED4.jpg Passenger http://nurkvinny.com/images/Vehicles/Trucks/1985_S10/axleMED8.jpg So, I need a shop (or individual) with a press on the East side. The bearings are $40 a piece from Strange, so I am going to mic them and see if they are a standard Ford size.
  12. Sure. http://www.jwclarkinsurance.com/ Call them and ask for Mary. Tell her I referred you. My beacon is also VERY high; your's being high will help. I had 7 vehicles + home insured for a while through them. No worries.
  13. Erie Insurance through Clark Insurance Agency in Lancaster. If you run your renter's/home-owner's through Erie as well, they have great deals. They also have VERY good bike insurance rates and offer good 'pleasure-use-only' policies that do not limit the yearly mileage.
  14. I have no idea what this means, "on doing a vortec head top end sway." Is your question, "what all do I have to do to install a 620-720 horsepower BBC into a SBC-equipped vehicle?" Are you talking engine accessories, or mounting, or fuel system, or ??? What all is he ordering with the crate engine? Induction, distributor, starter? Factory mounts will rip in 2. Factory fuel system won't come close. I would not use the TH350 unless he is dumping a ton of money into a serious build. TH400 would be a better, stronger option. Headers. Factory cooling system won't cut it. What rear end is under it? Factory driveshafts oughtta last a couple days. You don't mention - 2wd? Getting the big block sitting in the bay will be the 'easy' part of the project. Feeding it, cooling it, and fixing all the factory shit it breaks will be the fun part.
  15. Don't know the story, but it's fun to watch.
  16. Yep. Clean everything. Change shoes if needed. Turn drums.
  17. That is NOT the only way, and is probably the worst way. You tune your car for the mods you add.
  18. My "1-wire" GM alt has a jumper wire. The 1 wire only refers to it taking 1 external wire to hook it up. Tinman, I have a 110amp 1 wire I had built a few years back if you would want to try it.
  19. Just when I thought being good at poker would pay off.
  20. I'd also like the model number. Does it come with all the hub adaptors and spacers? Does it have the drum lathe also?
