  1. I like that for Sunday, myself.
  2. Thanks - I'll check these things.
  3. 89 Fox convertible with the power driver's seat from a 96 Cobra. The seat quit working today and is stuck in the back position, so I can't get to the bolts that bolt it to the floor. The fuses on the panel are ok, if there is another fuse, I am not aware of it and the car obviously didn't come with this seat. It appears everything in the car still works, which makes me think it is wired separately Anyone know how to detach the seat from the railing so I can work on it? God I hate power accessories. Just more shit to break down.
  4. That's why I like the rain - cleans the crap off of the bike and my gear.
  5. Water won't hurt a motorcycle. Trust me. And I've never actually met anyone who would melt from the rain. It might feel good if it's hot those days.
  6. Hope I can make it. Wife and kids like me to spend holidays with them.
  7. Not sure where, but anyone interested in getting together for a ride? Maybe to Southeastern Ohio - Wayne Nat'l forest, Marietta route, etc? Something? It's not going to be terribly hot and I've barely got 200 miles on the 14 - the riding gods are not being kind to me this year.
  8. More expensive helmet does not necessarily make for better protection: http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/gearb ... et_review/
  9. +2. Hoblick, I'm not worried about myself - it's all the other idiots around me that worry me. You can be totally legal, it only takes one jackass to spoil it. I'd like to have my lid on should that happen.
  10. $50 or make an offer. Similar to the older G-tech pro (the one without the fancy screen). It has two accelerometers to allow it to be more accurate. I have the manual for it as well. The company that makes them is apparently no more. Here is a review: http://www.camaroz28.com/articles/tazzo/index.shtml Here is a pic: http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u129/lemosley01/DSCF0058.jpg
  11. Thanks guys - rides really nice too. My only complaint is that plastic tank cover thing on the front of the tank prevents my magentic tank bag from clamping on fully. So far it hasn't shown a tendency to fly off, though. ASK has my damn battery right now. Looks like the one I got was bad, but they want to charge it over night and check it. Their tester says it's good. I charged it overnight last night (after it died from sitting for 3 days for the second time), left it out of the bike and checked it when I got home. It went from 12.56 to 12.1V in 10 hours. I took it to them and they say it's 34% charged. I tend to think that it's bad.
  12. Bornsinner reminded me that I was being rude by not posting pics. So, here we go. ZX-14. All stock, except I have frame sliders on it.
  13. This was debunked some time ago. Some fellow riders from Sportbikes.net went there last weekend and had no problems - no indication of 'unusual' police presence in the area, either. http://www.tailofthedragon.com/news.html
  14. Didn't know they had discontinued it. What's next? Kawi changes the EX250 and EX500?
  15. Who cares about idle though? Cruise is supposed to be lean - cars run lean at idle and cruise, too not only for emissions but it saves gasoline. It's wide open that I'm concerned about. Thorne, Some people say you need to rejet with a slipon, some don't. I'm with Hoblick. I never really thought you did, and my CBR was fine with just the slip-on. You might put on the slip-on and see what you think. You can always jet it after the install.
  16. Nope - Katana is still carbd. Suzi will never change that bike as long as it continues to sell. Big time cash cow. It is also air-cooled, not liquid cooled. Ben, your bike is 14.9 at full throttle? Then it was pretty lean before.
  17. Ant, what are you riding? Didn't know you had a bike. I'm game for a ride. Next weekend? I can do later (after 2pm Saturday), or anytime Sunday.
  18. Or ride down 33 to 665. I prefer the longish way myself. Going down Walnut Creek pike to 56 through Laurelville and on to HH.
  19. We were down there 3 weeks ago. The roads are clean, but you still have to watch for cars pulling gravel from the shoulders. Nothing really to avoid, just don't try burning through there. If you are a new rider, I HIGHLY advise you to go the recommended speed or lower through the turns. The only reason most people crash in HH is because they aren't used to two lane roads that have corners on them or they fail to ride their own pace. There is nothing dangerous about the place, provided you use your head.
  20. Someone told me there ans 05 CBR (brand new) at honda northwest (off of cemetery road) that they want like $8500 for. Might be able to get it for cheaper than that. You won't know the difference between the latest hardware and ones that are 2 years old - they're so far above our riding levels, it's not funny.
  21. Martelle, did it have funky green wheels and the rider was kind of skinny? I saw a bike kind of matching your description on Tuttle Crossing today that had green wheels. Maybe a triumph speed triple, but I didn't notice if it had the dual cans on it. I only saw the left side. http://www.triumph.co.uk/usa/4527.aspx I'm still thinking it is some street-fightered jap bike.
  22. Oooo...now that works.
  23. +zillion. They already collected the tax when the vehicle was purchased new. It's fucking ridiculous to have to pay a sales tax each time something is sold used.
  24. My stepdad and his dad are both farmers. They know of the OHP stopping guys driving their pickup trucks to check them for offroad diesel.
