    665?

    I'm looking at this ride: http://www.ohioriders.net/forums/viewto ... highlight=
  2. Tolli, just post it up in this thread. Sounds like a good thing to me. I'm in if I don't have anything going on that weekend.

    665?

That road. I've been on it - it is straight. I have no idea how you would scrube tires on it because you don't get much lean angle. You'd be better off riding exit and entrance ramps, clover leafs and general riding. I'm thinking about getting a ride together for this Sunday.

    665?

    Where is 665?
  5. Here is a dyno: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/downloads/dynocharts/dynocharts-Honda1997-2004-VTR1100-Superhawk.htm Here are some useful specs: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikereviews/searchresults/Bike-Reviews/Honda/HONDA-VTR1000F-FIRESTORM-1997--2005/?&R=EPI-302 Hope this helps, Ryan.
  6. I'll bring it in Thursday. Let me set a reminder. PM me if you don't remember which building I work in.
  7. Some guys have started on liters and been ok. Just go for broke and get a liter.
  8. Ryan, why a cruiser? These bikes are pretty comfy for passenger and rider alike, aren't the?
  9. If this is the bike I am thinking of - the competitor to the TL1000S, then no. It's more tame than the TL1000S, but it's still too much for a beginner. Puts down around 100HP, but has much more torque than 600 supersport, making it very wheelie prone. Start with something less-powerful - it will speed your learning curve and make you a better rider. Ninja 500, or even smaller cruisers are all good bikes to learn on. edit: Sorry hoblick - not trying to kill your sale - just don't want to see anyone get in over their heads.
  10. Sub box was picked up tonight by Vander. Still have the amp.
  11. Good thing you weren't injured. What was this clown's reason for doing what he did?
  12. There you go. Red Flames are like having a 50-shot of nitrous in a hidden bottle. They are only outpowered by yellow flames, which are the equivalent of a 100-shot.
  13. I'm 5'9" 180. I'm not 'fat', although I could stand to quit eating candy and other sugars. I lift and run regularly, so a lot of my weight is muscle (unlike 2 years ago when I was 200 and a lot of my weight WAS fat). My biggest complaint about my bike is the seat. Now that I look at it, that's a damn stupid reason to get rid of it. For some reason, I'm not really into VFRs. I used to like them, but they just don't 'do it' for me.

That's why they wanted us all to take off. Putty was afraid someone was going to snap a picture of his time as a pillion.
  15. GiXcHic Joker Girl BornSinner GixChic is the one with the yellow 'zuki or the one with the gray 'zuki/pink jacket? Which one is joker girl?
  16. The 9 is comfortable for short-medium (<150 miles) distance. I have a set of helis I need to put on it. The seat is the worst part, but pretty much all the bikes have shitty seats and I have a plan to try some different tricks to see if I can make the seat more comfortable. Passenger seat I might be able to upgrade - my wife and I went for about a 60 mile ride the other night and she is complaining of being sore. She just needs more saddle-time. As far as the track goes, I've never had another bike on the track on than the ZX-9, which, weight-wise, compares favorable to the 93 CBR F2 I had. I honestly have no complaints about it at the track. At this point, it isn't the motorcycle that is holding me back, it is just me. I have considered the ZX-12. Similar but a little better ergos for both passenger and pilot. And a bunch more power. Mostly, I just got bitten by the 'new-bike bug'. I'm slowly working it out of my system, though.
  17. Maybe you would beat the rider. I'll bet you would be even faster on a 636 than you would on your R6!

WTF? Cuffed and stuffed for speed? How fast were you guys going?
  19. I would like the option to be able to do 200-400 miles without feeling totally wrecked afterwards with the occasional (maybe once or twice a year) out-of-state trip. I did a track day last year - Mid-Ohio, and I loved it, which is why I'm afraid of going to something like a ZX-14/Busa because of the handling hit. I guess what I really need is two bikes + more money for track days. I'm now leaning towards keeping my ZX-9. After travelling to hocking hills yesterday, I re-realized that it suits me pretty well and does everything nicely. It would be nice if Kawi would bring the nine chassis back with ZX-10 power.
  20. Off of Georgesville Rd. I won't be home until around 8:30pm tonight.
  21. Thanks! I'm just sore as fuck, but all in one piece and walking. I appreciate all the help you all gave. I'll be back before you know it. Now I gotta go take these Oxys I came across. Putty, glad you are alright. I purposely didn't say anything - figured I would let you or someone else broach the subject. Care to give the blow-by-blow? I take it three of you got nicked by OHP? That's one of the reasons I hate running fast down open highway - too easy to be spotted or have someone call the cops on you. That or airplanes. I'm always paranoid about airplanes.
  22. The box is wedge-shaped. It is 28" long, 11" tall, the base is 15", and the top of the box is 10.5 inches, so the face slants backwards. I had it in the trunk of my 99 Cobra. The sub show in the picture has a tear in the outer suspension. Whoever gets it can have the sub if they want, but I don't think it is any good - maybe repairable. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u129/lemosley01/DSCF0043.jpg Also have a Punch 160a2 that I purchased brand new back in 1999. Was still working when I took it out of the car - $40.
  23. Asian900ss - are you the big dude that was in the tank top or were you on the Duc 900ss (like your name implies ) Who owns the 749?
