pretty impressive that the '97 layout is still being used in the C7. rear lower control arms are the same so its more along the lines of C5.7

  12. first off i will not answer questions as to why. second i know its a long shot for a project car and the asking price but i have way more in it just in parts and not counting my time. the car is a rolling chassis. still needs quite a bit of work but the majority of the hard stuff is done. build thread: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78346 serious offers only. may entertain trades and cash depending on what it is. if really interested you are more than welcome to come look at it. 35k for all that i have for it. $500 finders fee to who ever finds a buyer. don't post stupid stuff in this thread, i will not put up with it and it will be deleted.

  16. and timing cover because of the VVT.
  17. compression ratio is different on these engines and you need to change the lifters to get rid of the AFM. the L99 has a cam phaser and, to get the additional piston-to-valve clearance required when cam phasing changes, the pistons are different parts having valve reliefs machined into their tops. this would be good for a high lift cam. 10.7:1 (LS3) 10.4:1 (L99) because of the reliefs.
  18. wish your mom had a plan b. just like her neither do you.:gabe:
  19. depends on how you treated it. chances are the welded area won't break again but right next to it will. you should stress relieve it to help prevent it from breaking.
